Think about the word orbit. Can you use it metaphorically? Write a short paragraph using orbit metaphorically.

I know what a metaphor is and everything, but I have no idea how to write a paragraph using the word orbit "metaphorically".

I tried Google but it didn't work. I have no idea what to do. Help?

i'm not sure if this counts as metaphor, but...

"ideas float around in my head, in their eternal orbit."

oliver has a really good one, though!

yeah they're both really similar! just keep in mind that similes us like or as and metaphors use more literal words (eg. is, are, etc.).

For the short paragraph on how to use 'orbit' in a paragraph, describe what an orbit is, and the functions which allow it to be used as an metaphor. For example:

An orbit is where an object circles around another, keeping the same distance and direction. This can be used metaphorically if you wish to describe someone, or something, to be moving in an arc around another object.

Then you can just smoosh in an example like the beautiful ones posted earlier. Good luck! c;

While both compare things, similes use like or as where as metaphors do not c:

Everyone's suggestions are really good :3
