| ( I would have posted this in my literature thread, But I wasn't sure if I'm allowed to bump or not?)) Anyway, Here's chapter one. - Spoiler:
A small, fragile dandelion gleamed in the sunshine, It's soft, yellow petals curving down. Although the plant was a weed, it was beautiful- in her eyes, anyway. The small girl, whom was named Mary, stared down with a widened facial expression at the meek, little weed. It had so much value in her eyes- It was beautiful. Others thought of it as a problem. Something that you managed to get rid off, that kept coming back- Like Mary. Mary slowly kneeled down, her small hand reaching out for the weed. She grasped around it, snatching it from the ground. Mary held it close to her chest, admiring It's beauty and frailness. her blue, widened eyes were amazed by this small, useless plant. Was it because it was small? No. Was it because it was frail? No. It was because it was like her. Un-wanted, Forgotten and Despised- It was revengeful. It all started on a hot, summer day. Many children of the town were playing, laughing-enjoying themselves- They were having fun, soaking up the summer weather and soft breeze. Mary sat quietly behind a tree, pulling the petals off of her dandelion. She dropped the destroyed weed into the ground, staring down at the pile of yellow petals. She took them into her hot, sweat hands, grasping them. Don't worry. We'll get our revenge. She whispered, in a hush. Just at that moment, a window opened, a large, hairy man sticking his head out. " Hey, you, get over here!" He yelled at Mary, waving a beer bottle around his arm. Mary's eyes widened, her grip on the petals becoming more strong as she stared at the strange man. What did he want? Mary's mother always told her never to talk to strangers. But the tone and the desperateness of this man; It frightened her, but intrigued her. Slowly, Mary stood up, her feet beginning to move towards the impatient man. When she reached the window, she looked up at him. The man disappeared, and a few seconds later, opened the door, motioning for Mary to walk near him. She obeyed, and as soon as her small feet touched the Welcome matt, Her arm was grabbed, her mouth was covered, her she was pulled inside the house, the door slamming closed. It was a long seven hours before Mary began to come back into consciousness. Her small eyes blinked, then became alarmed and alert. She sat up, her small back aching. When she became familiar with her surroundings, She realized where she was. A dark alley way; Nothing but a dim street light showing her surroundings; Trash cans, stray animals, garbage bags. Mary brushed her hand against her left shoulder, expecting to feel the thick, white cloth of her dress. Instead, she felt her hot, sweaty bare skin. Soon, she realized her dress was gone; Ripped off, only covering her chest and a small amount of her bottom. The rest of her was bare; Hot and sweaty. She realized what had happened to her; The man had raped her. Immediately, She darted to her feet, running down the alley, trying not to be seen has her platinum, blonde braids swayed behind her. When she reached her house, She quietly entered through the back door. Her mother was still awake, and when Mary entered, her eyes filled with worry, shock, and relief. Quickly, she darted towards Mary, embracing her. " What happened to your dress?!" She screeched, rubbing her hand against her daughter's ripped dress. " DID SOMEONE DO THIS TO YOU? MARY GILBERT, TELL ME WHO-" " Nothing." Mary said, pushing her mother away. She climbed up the stairs, into her bedroom, and shut the door. She climbed into bed, covering herself with her blue quilt blanket. She stared at the ceiling, thinking hard. I will get my revenge.. And they will pay. Her small hand opened, what was left of the dandelion petals scattering on her bed as she drifted into a dreamless sleep.
Should I finish? Also, the man who did that to Mary ISN'T the Flower Killer. You'll find out who soon enough. Update: Here's Chapter 2! - Spoiler:
Mary allowed the freezing water to drowse her body; She could see dirt, muck and pieces of thread falling off her body and into the bath tub. She grabbed her bar of soap, scrubbing her body with it, then rinsing away the bubbles. When she un-bradided her hair, large amounts of dirt washed out. She used shampoo and conditioner, and soon her platinum hair was clean. When she got out of the tub, she slipped on a pink dress and some white knee-high socks. She re-braided her hair into two separate braids, then skipped out the door, pulling her pink bow on. When she stomped down the stairs, she quickly slipped into her black shoes, reaching for the door knob when her mother came behind her, holding a dish cloth in her right had. " And where are you going?" She asked Mary, putting her hands on her hips."Out."Mary mumbled, opening the door and slamming it closed. Mary skipped to the park, and her eyes immediately darted to a patch of flowers. They weren't her favourites, Dandelions, But they would make do. She charged towards them, reaching out and snatching them, quickly. All of a sudden, she felt something hit her head, and lifted her hand to feel a mushy, wet mud on the side of her face. She dragged her fingers down her face, splashing the mud off. When she looked in-front of her, She seen an elderly lady, wearing a white apron who had her grey hair in a bun. " What are you doing with my flower garden, you street-wanderer! SCRAMBLE!" Before Mary could react, another handful of mud hit her face, and she stumbled back, into a clump of grass. She woman watched as Mary quickly got up, and scrambled away; out of site. Mary hid behind a tree as she tried as best as she could to clean her face with the slow-moving water of the small river. It was concealed by a lot of trees, but Mary had found it a while ago, and this was usually her sect place. Unfortunately, Mary couldn't scrub everything off, and small blotches of dried dirt sticked to her face. Then, she remembered her flowers. What the lady did to her and her flowers was un-berriable. Her flowers were like her. They were her. And they were left there; Forgotten. Mary stood up, dusting off her dress. She walks in the direction if the lady's house, and quickly slips through the back. She had to say, it was quite beautiful. The patio furniture was something that her other would want. All of a sudden, the sliding door slid open, and the same lady stormed outside. " YOU LITTLE BRAT!" She said, raising her hand to slap Mary was a dish-cloth. All of a sudden, Mary reacted, and grabbed a screw-driver that was laying on the table, with many other tools. She jammed it into the lady's stomach, who made a face and then fell to the ground, moaning. Quickly, Mary pulled the screw-driver out of her stomach. But she couldn't stop. Something lead her to continue. Was it the revenge? Was it her soul? Was it meant to be? Before Mary could control herself, she jammed the screw-driver into the the lady's chest several times, before delivering the fatal blow; To her head. The lady was now covered in blood; It was a horrible scene. Mary panicked, and quickly ran to the back of the backyard, picking countless flowers. She kneeled down, decorating the lady's wounds with Flowers. When she was done, Mary exited the house through the front door, retrieving her flowers on the way. She skipped to her small creek, washed the blood and mud off her hands, took her shoes and socks off, then dipped them in the creek. Maybe this is who I'm meant to be. Yes.. I'll be.. The Flower Killer. It has a nice chime to it. A smile crept onto Mary's face as she continued washing her feet, humming a tune as she attached flowers into her braids.
GASP! Well, what do you guys think? Should I make Chapter 3? Tell me!

Well it would be nice if you develop Mary's character a little bit more, since it starts with her being all revengeful and stuff. Maybe add a backstory? This is just the introduction. You'll learn more about Mary more on in the story; You'll learn why she's exactly revengeful; Other than the fact on what happened to her. | |
