The cold, amazingly strong wind ran through my tussled, greasy, disgusting black hair that I haven't even touched in days. I didn't mind, though; for I had more important things to worry about. I couldn't believe that I was finally doing this. It was crazy. It was dangerous. It was... exciting. I think I liked it. Running away from home at fifteen, just before my sixteenth birthday. Huh, I laughed. Fifteen was young, but I should have left that dump six years ago; when I was nine. My mom died that year. I didn't have a father, and because of that I went to live with my grandmother, who was basically Satan himself... in old-lady form, though. As I thought about my hair again, I realized that if Grandmother had seen it she'd freak. She always had to have everything clean, neat, and, well, perfect. I stopped running and began to just trot along calmly with a dirty camoflauge knapsack hanging off my right shoulder. "What to do first..?" I wondered aloud. I can go sleep in the forest for tonight, I guess. It's better than out here on that nasty bench... or is it? Frowning, I watched a bus drive past me and an old friend of mine, Natalia Ogazaly, stare out the window. Her mouth was hanging open in shock. I must look crappier than I thought. The bus came to a quick halt, and Natalia came running off. "Th-thank you!" She yelled to the driver, but he just grumbled swear words under his breath and drove off. Breathlessly, she trudged closer. "Please tell me it's you, Linds." I gave one of those half smiles. "Yeah." My voice was raspy and dry, it even cracked a little. She gave me a pity look and asked what was going on. So I told her. "You're... running away?" Natalia gasped.  I nodded. "Lindsay... please, stay with me at my house. I'll BEG my parents." I was doubtful this would work out, but hey, it was better than living out on the streets and whatnot.

That's as far as I could get atm. Please don't comment about grammatical/spelling errors... I'm typing really fast on a small keyboard XD bed time soon so no time to re-check either. Tomorrow I'll do it. Anyways, hope you enjoyed.(:

Its a very nice story. I'd like it more if you described the characters and their stories even more. But its really good.
