Today I got two shots, one for DTaP and one for this disease I forgot the name of. So heres the story.
Me and my Mom were going to the doctors office while my dad waited in the car. I was supposed to just get DTaP because I needed to stay up to date with my shots in order to go to school. So we went there and had to wait until they got a nurse for us, and not my doctor. So we went to the exam room and my mom said I was just going to get my DTaP vaccine so I could stay up to date and go to school. But the nurse said that I also needed another shot (the one I forgot the name of) to go to school. So this screwed up everything.
You see, I was going to get the DTaP shot on my right arm because my left arm was very important. I am a violinist and since I am right handed I use my left hand to hold up the violin and do the fingering. If I got the shot in my left arm there would be pain in my shoulder and I wouldn't be able to lift it, making it impossible to play the violin for about a week. But if I got the shot in my right arm, then I would just move my elbow and not my shoulder, which would be an improvement since I'm supposed to do that with my bowing. Plus I would probably still be able to write. So I thought I could just take the shot I forgot the name of through my left arm and the DTaP through my right.
However, the nurse said the shot hurt even more than the DTaP, and I got a little befuddled. So she just asked me which arm I wanted to hurt more and I said my right. So I got my shots without crying and we went back to the car.
I told my dad what happened and my dad said the nurse was wrong and DTaP was more painful. So I don'treally know which shot js where and I'm going to have to wait and see which arm will hurt, which will start tommorrow.
So that was my crazy day.
