Relora's life lawl 12/29/13

Hola mi amigos! Como estas :)? (Sorry... don't know how to get the accent marks in there... ;-;)

So... as I'm sure many of you who actually liked me have noticed, I'm super inactive. Well, my life right now has turned for the better. I'm no longer a social recluse! I have a social life now :D!!! Becoming Drum Major and meeting this amazing guy has really had a positive impact on my life *-* So to bring you up to speed on what has kept me from you guys...

On the night of November 1st I got asked out by the most amazing guy c: He's a German foreign exchange student and he was is my first boyfriend ever and I'm so happy to have met him. He is quite the gentleman, he loves soccer, and he is not a bad person at all. I'm actually his American best friend too, which keeps us super close :) Obviously there are complications to be expected from a relationship like this... buut things are being figured out already right now.

I have recently been having an internal conflict on whether or not I like band. I've cried a lot over some thing relating to it. For example, there's this thing called honor band where people get nominated and what not for it. My... my band director didn't even nominate me. Here I am, the drum major and first tenor saxophonist in not only concert/symphonic band, but in jazz band too, and I didn't even get nominated. Now I know why I didn't get nominated, money is tight... and I kind of owe fees... but I wish he would have said something... I would have found a way to get more money in if he mentioned something... and then I come to find out 10 out of the 11 people made it in the honor band? All I needed was a nomination and I guarantee you I would have made it in... so I practically cried my eyes out about it in front of my boyfriend... and then my dad couldn't be at the Christmas concert because of a soccer team (he's my high-schools boy soccer team coach :) ) I've just been really angry at band... and I have cried so much over it... ugh... but it's getting better about it... I don't want to quit nearly as badly as I did.

Lastly, I'm the boy's soccer team's team manage. My dad being the coach and my boyfriend being the star soccer player kind of motivated me to do it (though I wanted to be it before my boyfriend was my boyfriend haha :) ). Because of this "job" I tend to come home after 5 o'clock most nights now and if there's a soccer game I won't be home until 10 o'clock. So basically I have no time to get on because weekdays I also have an hour to study every night and on weekends I'm practicing and talking to my boyfriend. My schedule is just packed between band, boyfriend, school, family, and soccer team manage. Additionally, the forum is missing a lot of friends I loved and it's really inactive (and I can see in the statistics that's it's been declining a lot...)

So those are the main reasons I'm not on and are also the biggest things happening in my life. Hope you guys enjoyed your Christmas and I hope y'all have a happy new year! I love you guys, I really do ^_^ Have a fantastic year to come :)

Congratulations on everything. Now, of course, I understand it doesn't feel good when you don't get nominated. Even though some things might've got worse, you've really improved for some stuff. Congrats on the boyfriend!!

It really does feel good to finally have a nice social life develop and come alive; I'm currently in your situation with all that social development as well (friends, boyfriend, activities, etc.). Don't be discouraged about that band nomination! Just keep your head up high and do the best you can. I can sympathize with feeling like your work and achievements have been overlooked. Think about it a little more and see if band is really your passion and not just a routine. Overall, I'm happy your life is good c; !

Like Crownie said, congratulations on everything! I know that it might be had to not be nominated for something you love, it will get better. In the future you will get to choose many things that will make you happy in life, and I promise that out of everything you love, you will have a great success with your passion, and everyone that does not believe you can do it will be proven wrong. If band really is your passion you will become very successful. I am also very happy that your social life doing well!

That's good and unfair >.< Most of bands just need money, not actual talent or creativity >.< And I am happy you met a new friend ^^ Why you used to have no social life at all? Were you 'too young' even to talk in real life?
