| PLEASE, FOR LULZ SAKE, DON'T:
•make a story you haven't the slightest idea of how the plot is and how it's going to end •start a story you won't finish [everyone, please...] •don't make a post on your ''prolouge'' and haven't even done a chapter yet. Really, please have like 5 already written for backup. Thankyou~

| HURRAY! I PASS! I have the entire plot outline on a seperate document, 17 chapters and still going strong (altough only by PM, I'm not willing to break the rules and double post, so I just have 10 on the official thread), and no prolouge. Plus I am an editing freak, so it will be unrecognizable in a few months! I am the ~bestest writer ever~, yes?
Altough, in all seriousness, I agree completely. I get it, I get it, I mean, sometimes we get tons of ideas, and once in a while we come across one that is really, really, good. However, will it still be that awesome after a few days/weeks of brainstorming, and 5 chapters in? I would recommend writing a few chapters of your story seperately, then copy-pasting it. Trust me, sometimes the best scenes in our heads are incredibly awkward on paper. I should know. I am the most awkward writer ever, but not necessarily in my head. I should know.
Another thing to discuss would be chapter length. I'm sorry, but one paragraph =/= a chapter. One paragraph = a paragraph. It should not be book-chapter length, that's too long for a friendly forum like this, but it should be long enough to catch my interest. I deally, they should be longer than two paragraphs, but shorter than 7. (No, I am not a hypocrite! What are you saying? My chapters aren't too long!)
AND GRAMMAR AND SPELLING. Guys, I cannot take your story seriously if you don't capitalize your Is. I can barely read it if every single line of dialouge is in a single paragraph. Periods exist for a reason, dang it! If I especially like your story, I could edit it like I did with HPF's, but you should do that yourself. Guys, srsly Tpos r understanble bt srsly no Spellchek i Men wut dos thes sae? lol jk Dss an xgrashun bt dis is wut bd Gramer lux leik 2 mai gremer NAZI brein.

| I really hate it too when people make spelling and grammar mistakes. Btw, I used to make lots of " Unfinished stories myself ". Even in school! XD But I dont anymore. | |

| Can't agree more, Makkine. The grammar and the unfinished stories are two reasons that I don't really read that much stories here nowadays. I would rather people write their stories out first and then (if necessary) type it up onto the computer, though that can be of annoyance, I should know ^^. | |

| @Case: Hurray! Less exclamation points!
@Free: I thought the "Think Plan Write Post," thing was part of your signature, but then I realized it wasn't. XD.
@Rosie: I don't think you're allowed to critique other people's grammar/spellling until you fix your own. "Unfinished stories myself" is not a quotation or another-thing-for-which-I-forgot-the-word, the "too" should go at the end of the sentence, "dont" requires an apostrophe, and I think the XD goes at the end of the sentence? Does it? Wait, what am I saying, is "XD" even a
@Bloobunny: Or, you could type it on something like Word, then copy-paste. You save a lot of paper and time that way. I know it's awkward at first, but digital stories have saved my life, considering how messy I can be.
Woah. A lot of people agree we with me and nobody's tl;dr-ing. Hurray! More exclamation marks are required!

You are in the now with it? What does that mean? Oh, you mean to write by "the seat of your pants"? Yes, I have read some great stories that are compltely improvized, and if that works for you, then do it! I'm sorry, but critique is not a "scence of boldness in your heart". It is a way to help. You should consider yourself lucky, becuase, for me at least, critiques mean that I really like what I'm seeing, but it's not quite there yet, so I want to "push" you to do better. If I see someone has potential in soemthing (writing, drawing, singing, etc.), I will help them, because I see it as tragic if your abilities aren't used to their full potential. Also, remember a few months ago, when you said: - HPF wrote:
- i hate that too i mean sure it is a bummer but i think critiques want to help you not necessarily hurt you they want to help
? Good stories don't have to be lengthy, of course not! Nobody is saying that, but I would like a bit more substance in a story, unless you market it as a short story, in which case I'm fine. Even if your spellcheck is broken/doesn't exist, you can still go back and edit. I don't have a spellcheck, actually, which is why I have a bunch of typos. However, I go back and edit.
