OH OMG (PLEASE CLICK AND ANSWER I NEED UR HELP)

ok guys well i have been off for a few days since i have been on holiday for a week and when i logged on to check my profile,my warning bar has went down to yellow i dont know why but its scary because i havent been on :O so somone tell me how its happend have i been hacked

Should we recieve an email or something saying when and why we get any infractions?

I received a PM for my infraction, like months ago, but it reached to green when it kinda died out. PM someone maybe.

Maybe a glitch or mistake made by the administrators....

I don't know..Maybe the forum is forcing you to be active otherwise they try to slowly ban you because there is no use of you if you're inactive?

I dont think they would try doing that...(they dont seem like forcing ppl to be active...they more likely seem to be having a glitch problem or something....)

the exact same thing happened to me,I quit for 1 freaking day,and it went to orange .-.

It's probably because me or another staff member discovered a post by you that broke a rule.

but the past is the past right,Why hasn't mine gone back up?! it's been like,2 or 3 months! D;

Check their dang posts for once, get a clue please. You don't have to make topics like these unless you haven't been bumped for like, 2 months. Just simply cheds Makkine's and Abbey's post to see what happened. Or just accept it.

Sorry, it's hard to manually check every user and their posts to see if they are good. Just pm a staff member about it, it's really too time consuming to go through every user and their posts to determine whether or not to raise the bar. I'll go raise yours now that you brought it up.

@lexxi: Please, if it's been over a month and your warning bar hasn't been bumped up, PM us! I bumped it up right now. Sorry, we have to do the whole warning bar thing manually.

@Spy-der: That would be great ... if it were feasible. Unfortunately, the staff already has way too much on their hands checking the reports list, keeping the forum running, etc. I can't even remember why I give most people infractions five minutes after they've been given (I give an average of 2-6 infractions per day). PMing every single rule breaker on this forum about their infractions would constitute a crazy amount of work.

You misunderstood. I wasnt talking to you directly. I wasnt trying to bash anyone actually. I was just saying that it should be required.

And isnt there like a log of all banned or infracted users? Maybe you could tell us why we got infracted. I used to moderate a forum, and it had one, but this forum could be designed differently.

@Makkine: If I'm not mistaken there is a way to have an automated PM/email system. There's already a prewritten message that gets sent to the user whenever recieving any disciplinary actions. You just need to enter in the reason for the ban. Again, this forum could be designed differently but maybe you guys should discuss this with your admins.

I don't think forumotion allows for that, which is what this forum is based on, forumotion is very limited and simple.

Ok. I still think it's a little ridiculous not to get any sort of clue as to why you are recieving disciplinary action. If you dont know what to change, how will you change it? I mean look at the OP (and myself). She has no clue why she even got an infraction, so how will she know what to avoid in the future?

yeah ik you're right, we need to figure out a way to change that because i agree full and full that there should be some sort of system. i'll try to figure something out.

@Spy-der: No, unfortunately forumotion has no such system (as Abbey has already said). I can assure you, though, that if you get an infraction there is a very high chance it was from double-posting, <3 word posts, rudeness/inappropriate language (I believe this was your case, but I might be mistaken), or spam. The majority of infractions are made up of these. Your ideas will be taken into consideration, but at this moment in time I would not hold my breath.

EDIT: The best way to avoid getting an infraction is to follow the rules or to just use common sense. If you have received an infraction and you are not sure why, PM the staff and we'll see if we have any information. We will not be notifying you if you get an infraction, however, so please be sure to check your warning bar regularly. Everything on this forum is run manually at the moment, so obviously some things are lost in the process.

If she has utterly no clue and hasn't taken the time to read the rules and check her posts, then I'm not at fault here. Remember, everyone, read the rules and don't be afraid to ask for clarification.

i don't think that is the cause.... even though this matter has been cleared up i think, i have been stalking some of the old users posts before they quit, i have noticed someone like "iPod" (she is in the top 10) she hasn't logged on in a while and i noticed her posts drop from: "3162" to "3150" i don't get why this happened is it just because they have become "inactive" ?

It's probably because topics they have posted in were deleted, therefore making their post count go down. :pp
