Hwi Razz. This is an original and fun game. I feel like it falls more into the literature category, even though it is a form of posting game. You read the scary story above you and rate it on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the scariest. Then you post a scary story of your own! You ARE allowed to copy and paste something from another website. It doesn't have to be original at all! You can even copy it word for word. Have fun!

Note: Make sure to post the age recommendation. This story is recommended for ages ten and up.

Here's mine.
Two dorm-mates in college were in the same science class. The teacher had just reminded them about the midterm the next day when one dormmate — let's call her Julie — got asked to this big bash by the hottest guy in school. The other dormmate, Meg, had pretty much no interest in going and, being a diligent student, she took notes on what the midterm was about. After the entire period of flirting with her date, Julie was totally unprepared for her test, while Meg was completely prepared for a major study date with her books.

At the end of the day, Julie spent hours getting ready for the party while Meg started studying. Julie tried to get Meg to go, but she was insistent that she would study and pass the test. The girls were rather close and Julie didn't like leaving Meg alone to be bored while she was out having a blast. Julie finally gave up, using the excuse that she would cram in homeroom the next day.

Julie went to the party and had the time of her life with her date. She headed back to the dorm around 2 a.m. and decided not to wake Meg. She went to bed nervous about the midterm and decided she would wake up early to ask Meg for help.

She woke up and went to wake Meg. Meg was lying on her stomach, apparently sound asleep. Julie rolled Meg over to reveal Meg's terrified face. Julie, concerned, turned on the desk lamp. Meg's study stuff was still open and had blood all over it. Meg had been slaughtered. Julie, in horror, fell to the floor and looked up to see, written on the wall in Meg's blood: "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?"

9/10 not too scary

Recommended for 13+ ( but you can still read if you dare)
Bloody mary returns
My stepmother was vile. I guess most kids think that when their father remarries. But in this case, it was true. She only married Father because he was rich, and she hated children. There were three of us – me (Marie), my middle brother Richard and my youngest brother Charles. We were the price my stepmother Gerta paid for being rich. And we were all that stood between her and inheriting Father's money when he died. So she took steps against us.
She sent my youngest brother Charles away to boarding school overseas. It
had a good, scholarly reputation, but it also had the reputation for
being a hard school that was full of bullies and strict discipline. Not a place where a delicate child like Charles, who had been sickly as a baby, would thrive. He was miserable there. Somehow,
Gerta contrived to keep him there for all but the summer holidays, and
when he came home the first year he was pale and thin with dark circles
under his eyes that looked like bruises. He cried – he actually cried! – when Father told him he had to go back to the school. But Father didn’t listen to him. Gerta thought it would be good for Charles to go there, and so Charles went.
I
did everything I could – encouraging letters and daily phone calls –
until Gerta said it was too expensive and restricted calls to five
minutes once a month. I even got Father to book me a ticket to Europe so I could visit Charles. Gerta was enraged when she found out. Her
blue eyes went so cold it made chills run up my spine, and her pink
mouth thinned into a bitter line that bade ill for me since I had dared
to interfere. Two days before my plane left for Europe,
the school called and told us that Charles had climbed up to the tallest
tower and flung himself off. He was dead.
Father was shocked, of course, and Gerta was quietly triumphant. For a few months, Father paid more attention to Richard and myself then he had since our mother died. But Gerta was beautiful and had winning ways about her that soon drew my Father’s attention away. And now that one of her hated step-children was dead, she focused on another. Poor Richard was next.
Richard was a sturdy chap who was about to enter high school, and he was really into sports. He would have thrived at the boarding school that had killed Charles. So Gerta sent him to an arts school instead. He hated it, but Gerta had told Father he had “talent”, so there he went. (You’d think my Father would have learned his lesson with Charles!) But Richard was a survivor, and he grimly practiced piano and violin when he would rather have played soccer and football. But Gerta was clever. She
introduced Richard to a couple of high school boys who were everything
Richard craved to be – rich, popular, on the football team. And into drugs. Gerta
made sure Richard had a very large allowance, and kept increasing it as
Richard was drawn deeper and deeper under the influence. Until one day Richard overdosed, and Gerta only had one step-child left. Me.
I was sure (sure!) that Gerta knew Richard was doing drugs in his room that day. She knew he was ill and possibly dying in there. If she’d “found” him even ten minutes sooner, his life would have been saved. So said the doctor, and I believed him. But Father wouldn’t believe me. He was angry whenever I said anything against Gerta, and told me to hold my tongue. Still, I knew I was next, and I was sure that Father would not live long after willing his fortune over to his wife. I decided that if Gerta got too bad, I would run away and live secretly with my aunt in New Jersey until I turned 18.
From the moment Richard’s body was found in his room, I forced myself to be a model child. My
homework was done on time, I was polite to Gerta and all her friends, I
went on all the family excursions with Gerta and Father – even the
dangerous ones like shark-fishing. You can be sure that I took care to be “sea-sick” indoors and stayed away from the edge of the boat. Gerta was clever with her tricks. Everyone thought it was an accident the time we were out shopping and I fell onto the subway in front of an oncoming train. I managed to roll out of the way on time, but it was way too close for comfort.
I
had almost decided to run away when my father brought me the sad news
that my aunt in New Jersey had died suddenly in her sleep, poisoned by
person or persons unknown. I was appalled. How had Gerta known? But she had – I could tell from the smirk on her face.
I went to my room that night and locked myself in to think. I could run away, but the money wouldn’t last long. And I’d need to finish high school or my chances of getting a good job were nil. Besides, Gerta would still be out there somewhere. If
she could hire someone to poison my only living relative (besides
Father), she could hire someone to kill me, whether I was living at home
or not.
There was only one thing I could think of. And it was a terrible thing. A family secret passed down from my Mother’s side for many generations. It
involved a witch named Bloody Mary, who had once tried to kill my many
times great grandmother and use the child’s blood to make herself young
and beautiful forever. The witch had been stopped by the
child's father (my many times great grandfather) in the nick of time,
and the witch had cursed him as she burned at the stake. Cursed
his mirror, and the mirrors of all the men who had condemned her to
death at the stake, so that anyone saying her name in front of those
mirrors would invoke her vengeful spirit.
The story had gotten mixed up over the years, as it was passed down first in their village and then all over the country. These days, school
kids everywhere scared themselves silly chanting Bloody Mary’s name in
front of darkened mirrors during sleepover parties, and nothing happened
to them. So no one really believed in the curse. Of course, no one knew the real story of Bloody Mary. That was a deep secret handed down by the villagers of long ago. But I was a direct descendant, and I knew how to summon the witch. You had to use a mirror owned by someone in the direct blood-line of one of the original families that lived in Bloody Mary’s village. And the witch's name must be spoken by candlelight a certain number of times in their native tongue.
It was an evil thing to do, I knew. But it was the only way to save my life. It was either Gerta or me. If I didn’t fight back, I was dead. So I took my hard earned money and went out to a specialty store to buy hand-dipped, beeswax candles. Black ones. I
followed my mother’s directions carefully, placing them at certain
intervals around the living room so that they reflected in the huge
mirror behind the couch. Then I lit each one, speaking the spell passed down in my mother’s family. And I waited. Father was away on a business trip, and Gerta was out at a party with her latest boyfriend. She came home late, and scolded me for staying up to study. Her voice was playful and light – I hated that voice. It made her sound like she was nice. But there was also a note of suspicion underlying her words, and she stared hard at the flickering black candles.
“Holding a séance, little Marie?” she asked, emphasizing the word little, knowing I hated when she called me that.
“I just like working by candlelight,” I said mendaciously, turning a page in my text book.
Gerta frowned. “You
know, little Marie, I think it’s time we had a talk,” she said, walking
over to the mirror behind the couch and primping her hair.
“Yes,” I said softly. “We should. You killed my brothers. And my aunt. But I won’t let you kill me.”
Gerta laughed. “As if you stood a chance against me!” she said, fluffing her long blond hair up behind her shoulders.
I spoke the name of Bloody Mary in the native tongue of my ancestors. Once. Twice. Three times. Inside the mirror, the image of Gerta burst into flames, and another face looked out. It was the malevolent face of a twisted old crone, ruined with age, and altogether evil. I ducked behind the chair as Gerta gave a scream of sheer terror, her eyes fixed on the witch. As I watched from my hiding place, heat burst forth from the mirror, blistering her beautiful alabaster skin. I could hear the flames roaring as the witch laughed evilly and held out her arms toward my step mother.
“Gerta,” crooned Bloody Mary. “Come to me, Gerta.”
And she took my step mother into her arms.
Gerta’s terrified scream was suddenly cut off. The flames disappeared as suddenly as they had come. When I peeked out from behind the couch, Gerta and Bloody Mary were gone.
I called Father at his hotel the next morning to tell him that Gerta hadn’t slept at home. (Well, it was true!) He wasn’t pleased. He called a few of her friends from his hotel room, and quickly discovered she had been carrying on with another man. With several, if the truth be known. Father hated infidelity. He flew home at once to confront Gerta, but she was still missing; presumed run away with one of her flames.
Somehow, Father managed to divorce Gerta without ever trying to find her. And since she had no family in the area except us, everyone accepted the cover story, and no one ever tried to locate her. Gerta was gone for good. And Father and I were safe at last

5/10. Not too scary because it couldn't happen in real life.

This story isn't very scary. I will post a scarier one later.

A NEWLYWED husband and wife went to Las Vegas for their honeymoon, and checked into a suite at a hotel. When they got to their room they both detected a bad odor. The husband called down to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. He explained that the room smelled very bad and they would like another suite. The manager apologized and told the man that they were all booked because of a convention. He offered to send them to a restaurant of their choice for lunch compliments of the hotel and said he was going to send a maid up to their room to clean and to try and get rid of the odor.

After a nice lunch the couple went back to their room. When they walked in they could both still smell the same odor. Again the husband called the front desk and told the manager that the room still smelled really bad. The manager told the man that they would try and find a suite at another hotel. He called every hotel on the strip, but every hotel was sold out because of the convention. The manager told the couple that they couldn't find them a room anywhere, but they would try and clean the room again. The couple wanted to see the sights and do a little gambling anyway, so they said they would give them two hours to clean and then they would be back.

When the couple had left, the manager and all of housekeeping went to the room to try and find what was making the room smell so bad. They searched the entire room and found nothing, so the maids changed the sheets, changed the towels, took down the curtains and put new ones up, cleaned the carpet and cleaned the suite again using the strongest cleaning products they had. The couple came back two hours later to find the room still had a bad odor. The husband was so angry at this point, he decided to find whatever this smell was himself. So he started tearing the entire suite apart himself.

As he pulled the top mattress off the box spring he found a dead body of a woman.

Omg 9/10 !! scary
9+ ( only if your not a scary cat )
Hide and seek
There once was a family of five. Three children and two parents, who
loved their kids with all their hearts. This family lived in a nice
home in a quaint little town called Bakerston. Their lives were simple
and pleasant, and Bakerston was an unusually peaceful town that had
little to no crime.

One of their children, the eldest daughter, was named Felicity, and
she was very good at watching her little brothers, Raymon and Rory. So,
occasionally their parents would go out for the night and have Felicity
watch her brothers until they got back. Felicity was very good at
this. She would always play a game similar to hide and
seek. She’d stand in the living room with her hands over her eyes and
say, “Children, Children, All around, run before you can be found. For I
am on the loose today, hide before I can say….” Then she’d wait,
listening to their rustling feet as they would hide. She’d search the
house looking for them, and when she got close, she’d wait right outside
the place she knew they were hiding and she’d say “Boo!”

When they heard this sound, they would know that she was close, so
if she was correct they would have to reply with the words, “Hello
Felicity!” and she’d scoop them up and hug them. If the other child was
close enough that they heard these words, they were allowed additional
time to find a new spot, and then Felicity and the found child would
look for them together.

The children absolutely loved this game, and they insisted that she
play it with them every time they were together. One night,
recently after their parents left, Felicity and the boys were relaxing
in their home. The boys were in their rooms, off of the living room,
and Felicity was in the living room reading. Suddenly, there was a loud
knocking at the door. Felicity, thinking it might be her parents and
that they would be upset that the boys weren’t asleep, she rushed to the
intercom system that allowed anyone in the living room to speak to all
the rooms in the house. The boys had one in their room too. This made
it so that no one had to yell fromm room to room in the house.

She pressed the button and said quietly, “Open your door and get
underneath your covers. I think it's mom and dad. Pretend to be
asleep.” Then she went to answer the door.

The boys did as they were told and got beneath their covers. They
heard the door open, but no other sounds. It was quiet. Then, the
intercom beeped which meant someone was on the other side. A voice
said, “Children children, all around….” The little boys shivered. It
was Felicity, and she sounded scared. She had spoken at a whisper and
they became frightened. They stayed in their beds, still scared. Then,
“Run before you can be found..” They glanced at each other in horror.
“For he is on the loose today….hide before…I can say…”

“She wants to play the game…” Rory whispered to Raymon.

The waited a few seconds. Then, it came on again.

“Children Children All Around.”

Silence.

“Run Before you can be found.”

Silence.

“For it is on the loose today. Hide before I can say….”

The boys quickly decided that they needed to hide. They crawled to
their favorite place, which was a broom closet in the hallway that
Felicity claimed was too small to fit in. But the boys knew it wasn’t.
She never found them there. She always called quits if either of them
chose that spot.

They quieted their breathing and listened for sounds. They heard a soft shuffling of feet, but that was all.

They stayed in the closet a long time.

Suddenly though, another sound filled their ears.

THUD. *shuffle shuffle shuffle* THUD. *shuffle shuffle shuffle* THUD. THUD THUD.

The sound got closer and closer and closer and closer.

They heard Felicity’s voice whisper, but it seemed to come from
throughout the house. “Children Children all around, run before you can
be found. For I am on the loose today, hide before I can say……”
Silence.

Then, in the softest whisper of all, right outside the closet they heard, “Boo?”

Rory opened his mouth to say ‘hello Felicity’ but Raymon closed his
hand over Rory’s mouth. It was silent for a long time. Then, from
Raymon and Rory’s right, inside the closet, a voice was heard.

“Hello Felicity.”

Rory and Raymon turned ice cold. But they didn’t move.

Outside the closet Felicity started to cry. Then, in tears she said, “New game. Rory is it.”

That same night the parents of Rory Raymon and Felicity game home to
a devastating sight. On the table was a letter that had apparently been
opened by Felicity that said, “I want to play your game. I’m in the
children’s room. We’ll all play together.”

They proceeded to look throughout the house for their children.
They couldn’t find them that night. The next night they found Rory. His
eyes were sewn shut and he was jammed underneath the kitchen sink
covered in blood.

The day after that they found Raymon. His eyes were sewn shut and he
was shoved underneath his bed covered in blood. The day after that they
found Felicity. Her eyes were sewn shut and she was squished inside a
cupboard. The deaths were mourned and they bodies were buried.

A week later another body was discovered. A missing mortician was
found crammed inside the hallway closet with his sewing kit clutched
between his cold dead fingers.

The THUD THUd *shuffle shuffle shuffle* the children had heard had
been the sound of Felicity bumping into walls. She had been looking for
them and she couldn’t see, because her eyes had been sewn shut.

Years later it was said that the soft calling of Felicity’s voice
could be heard, calling the word to the children’s hide-and seek rhyme.

Children children all around

Run before you can be found

For I am on the loose today

Run before I can say….

BOO.

2/10. Not scary at all.

This is the picture that goes with my story. Open the spoiler.
Spoiler:

After weeks of unexplained murders, the ominous unknown killer is
still on the rise. After little evidence has been found, a young boy
states that he survived one of the killer's attacks and bravely tells
his story.

"I had a bad dream and I woke up in the middle of the night,"
says the boy, "I saw that for some reason the window was open, even
though I remember it being closed before I went to bed. I got up and
shut it once more. Afterwards, I simply crawled under my covers and
tried to get back to sleep. That's when I had a strange feeling, like
someone was watching me. I looked up, and nearly jumped out of my bed.
There, in the little ray of light, illuminating from between my
curtains, were a pair of two eyes. These weren't regular eyes; they were
dark, ominous eyes. They were bordered in black and... just plain out
terrified me. That's when I saw his mouth. A long, horrendous smile that
made every hair on my body stand up. The figure stood there, watching
me. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he said it. A simple
phrase, but said in a way only a mad man could speak.

"He said, 'Go To Sleep.' I let out a scream, that's what sent him
at me. He pulled up a knife; aiming at my heart. He jumped on top of my
bed. I fought him back; I kicked, I punched, I rolled around, trying to
knock him off me. That's when my dad busted in. The man threw the
knife, it went into my dad's shoulder. The man probably would've
finished him off, if one of the neighbors hadn't alerted the police.

"They drove into the parking lot, and ran towards the door. The
man turned and ran down the hallway. I heard a smash, like glass
breaking. As I came out of my room, I saw the window that was pointing
towards the back of my house was broken. I looked out it to see him
vanish into the distance. I can tell you one thing, I will never forget
that face. Those cold, evil eyes, and that psychotic smile. They will
never leave my head."

Police are still on the look for this man. If you see anyone that
fits the description in this story, please contact your local police
department.

Jeff and his family had just moved into a new neighborhood. His dad had
gotten a promotion at work, and they thought it would be best to live in
one of those "fancy" neighborhoods. Jeff and his brother Liu couldn't
complain though. A new, better house. What was not to love? As they were
getting unpacked, one of their neighbors came by.

"Hello," she said, "I'm Barbara; I live across the street from
you. Well, I just wanted to introduce my self and to introduce my son."
She turns around and calls her son over. "Billy, these are our new
neighbors." Billy said hi and ran back to play in his yard.

"Well," said Jeff's mom, "I'm Margaret, and this is my husband
Peter, and my two sons, Jeff and Liu." They each introduced themselves,
and then Barbara invited them to her son's birthday. Jeff and his
brother were about to object, when their mother said that they would
love to. When Jeff and his family are done packing, Jeff went up to his
mom.

"Mom, why would you invite us to some kid's party? If you haven't noticed, I'm not some dumb kid."

"Jeff," said his mother, "We just moved here; we should show that
we want to spend time with our neighbors. Now, we're going to that
party, and that's final." Jeff started to talk, but stopped himself,
knowing that he couldn't do anything. Whenever his mom said something,
it was final. He walked up to his room and plopped down on his bed. He
sat there looking at his ceiling when suddenly, he got a weird feeling.
Not so much a pain, but... a weird feeling. He dismissed it as just some
random feeling. He heard his mother call him down to get his stuff, and
he walked down to get it.

The next day, Jeff walked down stairs to get breakfast and got
ready for school. As he sat there, eating his breakfast, he once again
got that feeling. This time it was stronger. It gave him a slight
tugging pain, but he once again dismissed it. As he and Liu finished
breakfast, they walked down to the bus stop. They sat there waiting for
the bus, and then, all of a sudden, some kid on a skateboard jumped over
them, only inches above their laps. They both jumped back in surprise.
"Hey, what the hell?"

The kid landed and turned back to them. He kicked his skate board
up and caught it with his hands. The kid seems to be about twelve; one
year younger than Jeff. He wears a Aeropostale shirt and ripped blue
jeans.

"Well, well, well. It looks like we got some new meat." Suddenly,
two other kids appeared. One was super skinny and the other was huge.
"Well, since you're new here, I'd like to introduce ourselves, over
there is Keith." Jeff and Liu looked over to the skinny kid. He had a
dopey face that you would expect a sidekick to have. "And he's Troy."
They looked over at the fat kid. Talk about a tub of lard. This kid
looked like he hadn't exercised since he was crawling.

"And I," said the first kid, "am Randy. Now, for all the kids in
this neighborhood there is a small price for bus fare, if you catch my
drift." Liu stood up, ready to punch the lights out of the kid's eyes
when one of his friends pulled a knife on him. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, I had
hoped you would be more cooperative, but it seems we must do this the
hard way." The kid walked up to Liu and took his wallet out of his
pocket. Jeff got that feeling again. Now, it was truly strong; a burning
sensation. He stood up, but Liu gestured him to sit down. Jeff ignored
him and walked up to the kid.

"Listen here you little punk, give back my bro's wallet or else."
Randy put the wallet in his pocket and pulled out his own knife.

"Oh? And what will you do?" Just as he finished the sentence,
Jeff popped the kid in the nose. As Randy reached for his face, Jeff
grabbed the kid's wrist and broke it. Randy screamed and Jeff grabbed
the knife from his hand. Troy and Keith rushed Jeff, but Jeff was too
quick. He threw Randy to the ground. Keith lashed out at him, but Jeff
ducked and stabbed him in the arm. Keith dropped his knife and fell to
the ground screaming. Troy rushd him too, but Jeff didn't even need the
knife. He just punched Troy straight in the stomach and Troy went down.
As he fell, he puked all over. Liu could do nothing but look in
amazement at Jeff.

"Jeff how'd you?" that was all he said. They saw the bus coming
and knew they'd be blamed for the whole thing. So they started running
as fast as they could. As they ran, they looked back and saw the bus
driver rushing over to Randy and the others. As Jeff and Liu made it to
school, they didn't dare tell what happened. All they did was sit and
listen. Liu just thought of that as his brother beating up a few kids,
but Jeff knew it was more. It was something, scary. As he got that
feeling he felt how powerful it was, the urge to just, hurt someone. He
didn't like how it sounded, but he couldn't help feeling happy. He felt
that strange feeling go away, and stay away for the entire day of
school. Even as he walked home due to the whole thing near the bus stop,
and how now he probably wouldn't be taking the bus anymore, he felt
happy. When he got home his parents asked him how his day was, and he
said, in a somewhat ominous voice, "It was a wonderful day." Next
morning, he heard a knock at his front door. He walked down to find two
police officers at the door, his mother looking back at him with an
angry look.

"Jeff, these officers tell me that you attacked three kids. That
it wasn't regular fighting, and that they were stabbed. Stabbed, son!"
Jeff's gaze fell to the floor, showing his mother that it was true.

"Mom, they were the ones who pulled the knives on me and Liu."

"Son," said one of the cops," We found three kids, two stabbed,
one having a bruise on his stomach, and we have witnesses proving that
you fled the scene. Now, what does that tell us?" Jeff knew it was no
use. He could say him and Liu had been attacked, but then there was no
proof it was not them who attacked first. They couldn't say that they
weren't fleeing, because truth be told they were. So Jeff couldn't
defend himself or Liu.

"Son, call down your brother." Jeff couldn't do it, since it was him who beat up all the kids.

"Sir, it...it was me. I was the one who beat up the kids. Liu
tried to hold me back, but he couldn't stop me." The cop looked at his
partner and they both nod.

"Well kid, looks like a year in Juvy..."

"Wait!" says Liu. They all looked up to see him holding a knife. The officers pulled their guns and locked them on Liu.

"It was me, I beat up those little punks. Have the marks to prove
it." He lifted up his sleeves to reveal cuts and bruises, as if he was
in a struggle.

"Son, just put the knife down," said the officer. Liu held up the
knife and dropped it to the ground. He put his hands up and walked over
to the cops.

"No Liu, it was me! I did it!" Jeff had tears running down his face.

"Huh, poor bro. Trying to take the blame for what I did. Well, take me away." The police led Liu out to the patrol car.

"Liu, tell them it was me! Tell them! I was the one who beat up those kids!" Jeff's mother put her hands on his shoulders.

"Jeff please, you don't have to lie. We know it's Liu, you can
stop." Jeff watched helplessly as the cop car speeds off with Liu
inside. A few minutes later Jeff's dad pulled into the driveway, seeing
Jeff's face and knowing something was wrong.

"Son, son what is it?" Jeff couldn't answer. His vocal cords were
strained from crying. Instead, Jeff's mother walked his father inside
to break the bad news to him as Jeff wept in the driveway. After an hour
or so Jeff walked back in to the house, seeing that his parents were
both shocked, sad, and disappointed. He couldn't look at them. He
couldn't see how they thought of Liu when it was his fault. He just went
to sleep, trying to get the whole thing off his mind. Two days went by,
with no word from Liu at JDC. No friends to hang out with. Nothing but
sadness and guilt. That is until Saturday, when Jeff is woke up by his
mother, with a happy, sunshiny face.

"Jeff, it's the day." she said as she opened up the curtains and let light flood into his room.

"What, what's today?" asked Jeff as he stirs awake.

"Why, it's Billy's party." He was now fully awake.

"Mom, you're joking, right? You don't expect me to go to some kid's party after..." There was a long pause.

"Jeff, we both know what happened. I think this party could be
the thing that brightens up the past days. Now, get dressed." Jeff's
mother walked out of the room and downstairs to get ready herself. He
fought himself to get up. He picked out a random shirt and pair of jeans
and walked down stairs. He saw his mother and father all dressed up;
his mother in a dress and his father in a suit. He thought, why they
would ever wear such fancy clothes to a kid's party?

"Son, is that all your going to wear?" said Jeff's mom.

"Better than wearing too much." he said. His mother pushed down the feeling to yell at him and hid it with a smile.

"Now Jeff, we may be over-dressed, but this is how you go if you
want to make an impression." said his father. Jeff grunted and went back
up to his room.

"I don't have any fancy clothes!" he yelled down stairs.

"Just pick out something." called his mother. He looked around in
his closet for what he would call fancy. He found a pair of black dress
pants he had for special occasions and an undershirt. He couldn't find a
shirt to go with it though. He looked around, and found only striped
and patterned shirts. None of which go with dress pants. Finally he
found a white hoodie and put it on.

"You're wearing that?" they both said. His mother looked at her
watch. "Oh, no time to change. Let's just go." She said as she herded
Jeff and his father out the door. They crossed the street over to
Barbara and Billy's house. They knocked on the door and at it appeared
that Barbara, just like his parents, way over-dressed. As they walked
inside all Jeff could see were adults, no kids.

"The kids are out in the yard. Jeff, how about you go and meet some of them?" said Barbara.

Jeff walked outside to a yard full of kids. They were running
around in weird cowboy costumes and shooting each other with plastic
guns. He might as well be standing in a Toys R Us. Suddenly a kid came
up to him and handed him a toy gun and hat.

"Hey. Wanna pway?" he said.

"Ah, no kid. I'm way too old for this stuff." The kid looked at him with that weird puppydog face.

"Pwease?" said the kid. "Fine," said Jeff. He put on the hat and
started to pretend shoot at the kids. At first he thought it was totally
ridiculous, but then he started to actually have fun. It might not have
been super cool, but it was the first time he had done something that
took his mind off of Liu. So he played with the kids for a while, until
he heard a noise. A weird rolling noise. Then it hit him. Randy, Troy,
and Keith all jumped over the fence on their skateboards. Jeff dropped
the fake gun and ripped off the hat. Randy looked at Jeff with a burning
hatred.

"Hello, Jeff, is it?" he said. "We have some unfinished
business." Jeff saw his bruised nose." I think we're even. I beat the
crap out of you, and you get my brother sent to JDC."

Randy got an angry look in his eyes. "Oh no, I don't go for even,
I go for winning. You may have kicked our asses that one day, but not
today." As he said that Randy rushed at Jeff. They both fell to the
ground. Randy punched Jeff in the nose, and Jeff grabbed him by the ears
and head butted him. Jeff pushed Randy off of him and both rose to
their feet. Kids were screaming and parents were running out of the
house. Troy and Keith both pulled guns out of their pockets.

"No one interrupts or guts will fly!" they said. Randy pulled a knife on Jeff and stabbed it into his shoulder.

Jeff screamed and fell to his knees. Randy started kicking him in
the face. After three kicks Jeff grabs his foot and twists it, causing
Randy to fall to the ground. Jeff stood up and walked towards the back
door. Troy grabbed him.

"Need some help?" He picks Jeff up by the back of the collar and
throws him through the patio door. As Jeff tries to stand he is kicked
down to the ground. Randy repeatedly starts kicking Jeff, until he
starts to cough up blood.

"Come on Jeff, fight me!" He picks Jeff up and throws him into
the kitchen. Randy sees a bottle of vodka on the counter and smashes the
glass over Jeff's head.

"Fight!" He throws Jeff back into the living room.

"Come on Jeff, look at me!" Jeff glances up, his face riddled
with blood. "I was the one who got your brother sent to JDC! And now
you're just gonna sit here and let him rot in there for a whole year!
You should be ashamed!" Jeff starts to get up.

"Oh, finally! you stand and fight!" Jeff is now to his feet,
blood and vodka on his face. Once again he gets that strange feeling,
the one in which he hasn't felt for a while. "Finally. He's up!" says
Randy as he runs at Jeff. That's when it happens. Something inside Jeff
snaps. His psyche is destroyed, all rational thinking is gone, all he
can do, is kill. He grabs Randy and pile drives him to the ground. He
gets on top of him and punches him straight in the heart. The punch
causes Randy's heart to stop. As Randy gasps for breath. Jeff hammers
down on him. Punch after punch, blood gushes from Randy's body, until he
takes one final breath, and dies.

Everyone is looking at Jeff now. The parents, the crying kids,
even Troy and Keith. Although they easily break from their gaze and
point their guns at Jeff. Jeff see's the guns trained on him and runs
for the stairs. As he runs Troy and Keith let out fire on him, each shot
missing. Jeff runs up the stairs. He hears Troy and Keith follow up
behind. As they let out their final rounds of bullets Jeff ducks into
the bathroom. He grabs the towel rack and rips it off the wall. Troy and
Keith race in, knives ready.

Troy swings his knife at Jeff, who backs away and bangs the towel
rack into Troy's face. Troy goes down hard and now all that's left is
Keith. He is more agile than Troy though, and ducks when Jeff swings the
towel rack. He dropped the knife and grabbed Jeff by the neck. He
pushed him into the wall. A thing of bleach fell down on top of him from
the top shelf. It burnt both of them and they both started to scream.
Jeff wiped his eyes as best as he could. He pulled back the towel rack
and swung it straight into Keith's head. As he lay there, bleeding to
death, he let out an ominous smile.

"What's so funny?" asked Jeff. Keith pulled out a lighter and
switched it on. "What's funny," he said, "Is that you're covered in
bleach and alcohol." Jeff's eyes widened as Keith threw the lighter at
him. As soon as the flame made contact with him, the flames ignited the
alcohol in the vodka. While the alcohol burned him, the bleach bleached
his skin. Jeff let out a terrible screech as he caught on fire. He tried
to roll out the fire but it was no use, the alcohol had made him a
walking inferno. He ran down the hall, and fell down the stairs.
Everybody started screaming as they saw Jeff, now a man on fire, drop to
the ground, nearly dead. The last thing Jeff saw was his mother and the
other parents trying to extinguish the flame. That's when he passed
out.

When Jeff woke he had a cast wrapped around his face. He couldn't
see anything, but he felt a cast on his shoulder, and stitches all over
his body. He tried to stand up, but he realized that there was some
tube in his arm, and when he tried to get up it fell out, and a nurse
rushed in.

"I don't think you can get out of bed just yet." she said as she
put him back in his bed and re-inserted the tube. Jeff sat there, with
no vision, no idea of what his surroundings were. Finally, after hours,
he heard his mother.

"Honey, are you okay?" she asked. Jeff couldn't answer though,
his face was covered, and he was unable to speak. "Oh honey, I have
great news. After all the witnesses told the police that Randy confessed
of trying to attack you, they decided to let Liu go." This made Jeff
almost bolt up, stopping halfway, remembering the tube coming out of his
arm. "He'll be out by tomorrow, and then you two will be able to be
together again."

Jeff's mother hugs Jeff and says her goodbyes. The next couple of
weeks were those where Jeff was visited by his family. Then came the
day where his bandages were to be removed. His family were all there to
see it, what he would look like. As the doctors unwrapped the bandages
from Jeff's face everyone was on the edge of their seats. They waited
until the last bandage holding the cover over his face was almost
removed.

"Let's hope for the best," said the doctor. He quickly pulls the cloth; letting the rest fall from Jeff's face.

Jeff's mother screams at the sight of his face. Liu and Jeff's dad stare awe-struck at his face.

"What? What happened to my face?" Jeff said. He rushed out of bed
and ran to the bathroom. He looked in the mirror and saw the cause of
the distress. His face. It...it's horrible. His lips were burnt to a
deep shade of red. His face was turned into a pure white color, and his
hair singed from brown to black. He slowly put his hand to his face. It
had a sort of leathery feel to it now. He looked back at his family then
back at the mirror.

"Jeff," said Liu, "It's not that bad...."

"Not that bad?" said Jeff," It's perfect!" His family were
equally surprised. Jeff started laughing uncontrollably His parents
noticed that his left eye and hand were twitching.

"Uh... Jeff, are you okay?"

"Okay? I've never felt more happy! Ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa, look
at me. This face goes perfectly with me!" He couldn't stop laughing. He
stroked his face feeling it. Looking at it in the mirror. What caused
this? Well, you may recall that when Jeff was fighting Randy something
in his mind, his sanity, snapped. Now he was left as a crazy killing
machine, that is, his parents didn't know.

"Doctor," said Jeff's mom, "Is my son... alright, you know. In the head?"

"Oh yes, this behavior is typical for patients that have taken
very large amounts of pain killers. If his behavior doesn't change in a
few weeks, bring him back here, and we'll give him a psychological
test."

"Oh thank you doctor." Jeff's mother went over to Jeff." Jeff, sweety. It's time to go."

Jeff looks away from the mirror, his face still formed into a
crazy smile. "Kay mommy, ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaa!" his mother took him by
the shoulder and took him to get his clothes.

"This is what came in," said the lady at the desk. Jeff's mom
looked down to see the black dress pants and white hoodie her son wore.
Now they were clean of blood and now stitched together. Jeff's mother
led him to his room and made him put his clothes on. Then they left, not
knowing that this was their final day of life.

Later that night, Jeff's mother woke to a sound coming from the
bathroom. It sounded as if someone was crying. She slowly walked over to
see what it was. When she looked into the bathroom she saw a horrendous
sight. Jeff had taken a knife and carved a smile into his cheeks.

"Jeff, what are you doing?" asked his mother.

Jeff looked over to his mother. "I couldn't keep smiling mommy.
It hurt after awhile. Now, I can smile forever. Jeff's mother noticed
his eyes, ringed in black.

"Jeff, your eyes!" His eyes were seemingly never closing.

"I couldn't see my face. I got tired and my eyes started to
close. I burned out the eyelids so I could forever see myself; my new
face." Jeff's mother slowly started to back away, seeing that her son
was going insane. "What's wrong mommy? Aren't I beautiful?

"Yes son," she said, "Yes you are. L-let me go get daddy, so he
can see your face." She ran into the room and shook Jeff's dad from his
sleep. "Honey, get the gun we....." She stopped as she saw Jeff in the
doorway, holding a knife.

"Mommy, you lied." That's the last thing they hear as Jeff rushes them with the knife, gutting both of them.

His brother Liu woke up, startled by some noise. He didn't hear
anything else, so he just shut his eyes and tried to go back to sleep.
As he was on the border of slumber, he got the strangest feeling that
someone was watching him. He looked up, before Jeff's hand covered his
mouth. He slowly raised the knife ready to plunge it into Liu. Liu
thrashed here and there trying to escape Jeff's grip.

"Shhhhhhh," Jeff said,"Just go to sleep."

8. Not super scary. Just kind of gross Sad

8+ Not scary just weird I don't get it LOL.

A YOUNG girl named Lisa was left alone on several accounts as her parents worked late. They bought her a dog to keep her company.

One night Lisa was awoken by a constant dripping sound. She got up and went to the kitchen to turn off the tap properly. As she was getting back into the bed she stuck her hand under the bed, and the dog licked it.

The dripping sound continued, so she went to the bathroom and made sure the tap was turned off there, too. She went back to her bedroom and stuck her hand under the bed, and the dog licked it again.

But the dripping continued, so she went outside and turned off all the faucets out there. She came back to bed, stuck her hand under it, and the dog licked it again.

The dripping continued, drip, drip, drip. This time she listened and located the source of the dripping — it was coming from her closet. She opened the closet door, and there was her dog hanging upside down with its neck cut, and written on the window on the inside of the cupboard was, "Humans can lick, too!!!"

oh god 10/10 Oh sorry i was answering rues! yours is 1/10!
i know the website for that pic ( i wanted to forget about it) because once i gave me a nightmare that was very related to it!

8+
The killer in the backseat
One
night a woman went out for drinks with her girlfriends. She left the
bar fairly late at night, got in her car and onto the deserted highway.
After a few minutes she noticed a lone pair of headlights in her
rear-view mirror, approaching at a pace just slightly quicker than hers.
As the car pulled up behind her she glanced and saw the turn signal on —
the car was going to pass — when suddenly it swerved back behind her,
pulled up dangerously close to her tailgate and the brights flashed.

Now she was getting nervous. The lights dimmed for a
moment and then the brights came back on and the car behind her surged
forward. The frightened woman struggled to keep her eyes on the road and
fought the urge to look at the car behind her. Finally, her exit
approached but the car continued to follow, flashing the brights
periodically.

Through every stoplight and turn, it followed her until
she pulled into her driveway. She figured her only hope was to make a
mad dash into the house and call the police. As she flew from the car,
so did the driver of the car behind her — and he screamed, "Lock the
door and call the police! Call 911!"

When the police arrived the horrible truth was finally
revealed to the woman. The man in the car had been trying to save her.
As he pulled up behind her and his headlights illuminated her car, he
saw the silhouette of a man with a butcher knife rising up from the back
seat to stab her, so he flashed his brights and the figure crouched
back down.

The moral of the story: Always check the back seat!

1/10. Not even close.

I first met in person with Mary E. in the summer of 2007. I had
arranged with her husband of fifteen years, Terence, to see her for an
interview. Mary had initially agreed, since I was not a newsman but
rather an amateur writer gathering information for a few early college
assignments and, if all went according to plan, some pieces of fiction.
We scheduled the interview for a particular weekend when I was in
Chicago on unrelated business, but at the last moment Mary changed her
mind and locked herself in the couple’s bedroom, refusing to meet with
me.

For half an hour, I sat with Terence as we camped outside the bedroom
door, I listening and taking notes while he attempted fruitlessly to
calm his wife. The things Mary said made little sense, but fit into the
pattern I was expecting: though I could not see her, I could tell from
her voice that she was crying, and more often than not her objections to
speaking with me centered around an incoherent diatribe on her dreams –
her nightmares.

Terence apologized profusely when we ceased the exercise, and I did
my best to take it in stride; recall that I wasn’t a reporter in search
of a story, but merely a curious young man in search of information.
Besides, I thought at the time, I could perhaps find another, similar
case if I put my mind and resources to it.

Mare E. was the sysop for a small Chicago-based Bulletin Board System
in 1992 when she first encountered smile.jpg and her life changed
forever. She and Terence had been married for only five months. Mary was
one of an estimated 400 people who saw the image when it was posted as a
hyperlink on the BBS, though she is the only one who has spoken openly
about the experience. The rest have remained anonymous, or are perhaps
dead.

In 2005, when I was only in tenth grade, smile.jpg was first brought
to my attention by my burgeoning interest in web-based phenomena; Mary
was the most often cited victim of what is sometimes referred to as
“Smile.dog,” the being smile.jpg is reputed to display.

What caught my interest (other than the obvious macabre elements of
the cyber-legend and my proclivity toward such things) was the sheer
lack of information, usually to the point that people don’t believe it
even exists other than as a rumor or hoax. It is unique because, though
the entire phenomenon centers on a picture file, that file is no where
to be found on the internet; certainly many photo-manipulated simulacra
litter the web, showing up with the most frequency on sites such as the
image-board 4chan, particularly the /x/-focused paranormal sub board.

It is suspected that these are fakes because they do not have the
effect the true smile.jpg is believed to have, namely sudden onset
temporal lobe epilepsy and acute anxiety. This purpoted reaction in the
viewer is one of the reasons the phantom-like smile.jpg is regarded with
such disdain, since it is patently absurd, though depending on whom you
ask, the reluctance to acknowledge smile.jpg’s existence might be just
as much out of fear as it is out of disbelief.

Neither smile.jpg nor Smile.dog is mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia,
though the website features articles on such other, perhaps more
scandalous shocksites such as gotse (hello.jpg) or 2girls1cup; any
attempt to create a page pertaining to smile.jpg is summarily deleted by
any of the encyclopedia’s many admins.

Encounters with smile.jpg are the stuff of internet legend. Mary E.’s
story is not unique; there are unverified rumors of smile.jpg showing
up in the early days of usenet and even one persistent tale that in 2002
a hacker flooded the forums of humor and satire website Something Awful
with a deluge of Smile.dog pictures, rendering almost of the forum’s
users at the time epileptic. It is also said that in the mid-to-late 90s
that smile.jpg circulated on Usenet and as an attachment of a chain
email with the subject like “SMILE!! GOD LOVES YOU!”

Yet despite the huge exposure these stunts would generate, there are
very few people who admit to having experienced any of them and no trace
of the file or any link has ever been discovered. Those who claim to
have seen smile.jpg often weakly joke that they were far too busy to
save a copy of the picture to their hard drive.

However, all alleged victims offer the same description of the photo:
a dog-like creature (usually described as appearing similar to a
Siberian Husky), illuminated by the flash of the camera, sits in a dim
room, the only background detail visible being a human hand extending
from the darkness near the left side of the frame. The hand is empty,
but is usually described as “beckoning.” Of course, most attention is
given to the dog (or dog-creature, as some victims are more certain than
others about what they claim to have seen). The muzzle of the beast is
reputedly split in a wide grin, revealing two rows of very white, very
straight, very sharp, and very human-looking teeth. This is, of course,
not a description given immediately after viewing the picture, but
rather a recollection of the victims, who claim to have seen the picture
endlessly repeated in their mind’s eye during the time they are, in
reality, having epileptic fits.

These fits are reported to continue indeterminably, often while the
victims sleep, resulting in very vivid and disturbing nightmares. These
may be treated with medication, though in some cases it is more
effective than others. Mary E., I assumed, was not on effective
medication.

That was why, after my visit to her apartment in 2007, I sent out
feelers to several folklore- and urban legend-orientated newsgroups,
websites, and mailing lists, hoping to find the name of a supposed
victim of smile.jpg who felt more interested in talking about his
experiences. For a time, nothing happened and at length I forgot
completely about my pursuits, since I had begun my freshman year of
college and was quite busy. Mary contacted me via email, however, near
the beginning of March 2008.

Subj: Last summer’s interview

Dear Mr. L.,

I am incredibly sorry about my behavior last summer when you came
to interview me. I hope you understand that it was no fault of yours,
but rather my own problems that led me to act out as I did. I realized
that I could have handled the situation more decorously; however, I hope
you will forgive me. At the time, I was afraid.

You see, for fifteen years I have been haunted by smile.jpg.
Smile.dog comes to me in my sleep every night. I know that sounds silly,
but it is true. There is an ineffable quality about my dreams, my
nightmares, that makes them completely unlike any real dreams I have
ever had. I do not move and do not speak. I simply look ahead, and the
only thing ahead of me is the scene from that horrible picture. I see
the beckoning hand, and I see Smile.dog. It talks to me.

I thought for a long time about my options. I could show it to a
stranger, a coworker… I could even show it to Terence, as much as the
idea disgusted me. And what would happen then? Well, if Smile.dog kept
its word, I could sleep. Yet, if it lied, what would I do? And who was
to say something worse would not come for me if I did as the creature
asked?

So, I did nothing for fifteen years, though I kept the diskette
hidden amongst my things. Every night for fifteen years Smile.dog has
come to me in my sleep and demanded that I spread the word. For fifteen
years I have stood strong, though there have been hard times. Many of my
fellow victims on the BBS board where I first encountered smile.jpg
stopped posting; I heard some of them committed suicide. Others remained
completely silent, simply disappearing off the face of the web. They
are the ones I worry about the most. I sincerely hope you will forgive
me, Mr. L., but last summer when you contacted me and my husband about
an interview I was near the breaking point. I did not care if Smile.dog
was lying or not; I wanted it to end. You were a stranger, someone I had
no connection with, and i thought I would not feel sorrow when you took
the diskette as part of your research and sealed your fate. Before you
arrived, I realized what I was doing: I was plotting to ruin your life.

I could not stand the thought, and in fact I still cannot. I am
ashamed, Mr. L., and I hope that this warning will dissuade you from
further investigation of smile.jpg. You may in time encounter someone
who is, if not weaker than I, then wholly more depraved, someone who
will not hesitate to follow Smile.dog’s orders. Stop while you are still
whole.

Sincerely,
Mary E.

Terence contacted me later that month with the news that his wife had
killed herself. While cleaning up the various things she’d left behind,
closing email accounts and the like, he happened upon the above
message. He was a man in shambles; he wept as he told me to listen to
his wife’s advice. He’d found the diskette, he revealed, and burned it
until it was nothing but a stinking pile of blackened plastic. The part
that most disturbed him, however, was how the diskette had hissed as it
melted. Like some sort of animal, he said.

I will admit that I was a little uncertain about how to respond to
this. At first, I thought, perhaps it was a joke, with the couple
belatedly playing with the situation in order to get a rise out of me,
but a quick check of several Chicago newspapers’ online obituaries,
however, proved that Mary E. was indeed dead. There was, of course, no
mention of suicide in the article.

I decided that, for at least a time, I would not further pursue the
subject of smile.jpg, especially since I had finals coming up at the end
of May. But the world has odd ways of testing up. Almost a full year
after I’d returned from my disastrous interview with Mary E., I received
another email:

To: jml@****.com
From: elzahir82@****.com
Subj: smile

Hello
I found your e-mail address thru a mailing list your profile said you
are interested in smiledog. I have saw it it is not as bad as every one
says I have sent it to you here. Just spreading the word.

Smile

The final line chilled me to the bone. According to my email client
there was one file attachment called, naturally, smile.jpg. I considered
downloading it for some time. It was most likely a fake, I imagined,
and even if it weren’t I was never wholly convinced of smile.jpg’s
peculiar powers. Mary E.’s account had shaken me, yes, but she was
probably mentally unbalanced anyway. After all, how could a single image
do what smile.jpg was said to accomplish? What sort of creature was it
that could break one’s mind with only the power of the eye?

And if such things were patently absurd, then why did the legend
exist at all? If I downloaded the image, if I looked at it, and if Mary
turned out to be correct, if Smile.dog came to me in my dreams demanding
I spread the word, what would I do? Would I live my life as Mary had,
fighting against the urge to give in until I died? Or would I simply
spread the word, eager to be put to rest? And if I chose the latter
route, how could I do it? Whom would I burden in turn? If I went through
with my earlier intention to write a short article about smile.jpg, I
decided, I could attach it as evidence, and anyone who read the article,
anyone who took interest, would be affected. And, even assuming the
smile.jpg attached to the email was genuine, would I be capricious
enough to save myself in that manner?
Now for the picture.

He he you're on the same exact website as me LOL!

4/10.

This is for ages 10+
A TEENAGE boy drove his date to a dark and deserted Lovers' Lane for a make-out session. After turning on the radio for mood music, he leaned over and began kissing the girl.

A short while later, the music suddenly stopped and an announcer's voice came on, warning in an urgent tone that a convicted murderer had just escaped from the state insane asylum — which happened to be located not far from Lovers' Lane — and that anyone who noticed a strange man lurking about with a hook in place of his right hand should immediately report his whereabouts to the police.

The girl became frightened and asked to be taken home. The boy, feeling bold, locked all the doors instead and, assuring his date they would be safe, attempted to kiss her again. She became frantic and pushed him away, insisting that they leave. Relenting, the boy peevishly jerked the car into gear and spun its wheels as he pulled out of the parking space.

When they arrived at the girl's house she got out of the car, and, reaching to close the door, began to scream uncontrollably. The boy ran to her side to see what was wrong and there, dangling from the door handle, was a bloody hook!

3/10. Here's another story about an evil doll. But it's different.

A little girl, named Penny Warren was given a small doll by her parents.
The doll was a gift from an ancient great aunt who had now passed on.

Penny was instantly unnerved by the doll, which had nasty little
black eyes that seemed to follow her around the room and a sinister grin
on her face. Nevertheless, Penny had to accept the doll, as she was
brought up well and didn't want to upset her parents by refusing to take
a gift.

Her parents told her that the doll's name was Arabella, which made
Penny even more afraid of it. It seemed to make it more human. Even so,
it was

just a doll, barely reaching above her knee. So to put her mind at
rest, she hid Arabella in the little cupboard under the stairs, under
some boxes

where her parents wouldn't see her.

It was only a few nights later, when Penny was lying in bed, that
she heard a noise...a shuffling sound that went on for about five
minutes. Then, a brief dragging noise and finally, a scuttling like
light footsteps running very fast.

Penny was paralyzed with fear, her knuckles turning white from
clutching her blanket. Then, she heard a voice, soft and eerily
childlike - quiet enough not to wake her parents. Penny always slept
with the door open and the lamp in the hall on, as she was still a
little scared of the dark. Therefore, she could hear more through her
open door.

Penny heard the voice say "Penny, I'm on the first step..." And then
a loud scrabbling again, as whatever was speaking apparently turned
tail and returned to where it had come from. The little girl didn't
sleep a wink that night, but laid in fear until the break of dawn when
her mother woke her up for school. When she tried to explain what had
happened, her parents passed it off as "just a dream".

The next night, Penny fought against sleep, but eventually drifted
off, only to be woken again by the sinister voice: "Penny, I'm on the
fifth step". Penny was crying by now, and again, she didn't sleep the
rest of that night.

The next night, Penny decided to shut her bedroom door and
reluctantly slept without the light on. Just as she was about to doze
off, Penny heard the noise and then the voice, "Penny, I'm on the top
step..."

Penny knew that her door was closed, but she was still terribly
afraid. Her heart pounding, she slowly got up to investigate; she then
screamed.

Penny's parents found her body at the bottom of the stairs. They
guessed she was on her way to the bathroom without switching on the hall
light on and had fallen down the stairs, breaking her neck. Arabella,
the favorite family doll, was found beside her body - smiling.

Sorry bout double post but Rue, if I've learned one thing, it's to NEVER open you're picture spoilers on this topic. And I don't understand a single word in that story. Sorry I'm kind of little. And that story doesn't scare me cuz the dog thing sounds kind of cute!!!!

And about THAT story, I've heard it before. Not very scary. Your other ones were WAY scarier. Oh my god I'm NOT gonna be able to sleep tonight.

2/10 haha funny! btw your on the same website as me ( are you on An Urban Legend!)

Burried alive

My great-great grandmother, ill for quite some time, finally passed away
after lying in a coma for several days. My great-great grandfather was
devastated beyond belief, as she was his one true love and they had been
married over 50 years. They were married so long it seemed as if they
knew each other's innermost thoughts.

After the doctor pronounced her dead, my great-great grandfather
insisted that she was not. They had to literally pry him away from his
wife's body so they could ready her for burial.

Now, back in those days they had backyard burial plots and did not
drain the body of its fluids. They simply prepared a proper coffin and
committed the body (in its coffin) to its permanent resting place.
Throughout this process, my great-great grandfather protested so
fiercely that he had to be sedated and put to bed. His wife was buried
and that was that.

That night he woke to a horrific vision of his wife hysterically
trying to scratch her way out of the coffin. He phoned the doctor
immediately and begged to have his wife's body exhumed. The doctor
refused, but my great-great grandfather had this nightmare every night
for a week, each time frantically begging to have his wife removed from
the grave.

Finally the doctor gave in and, together with local authorities,
exhumed the body. The coffin was pried open and to everyone's horror and
amazement, my great-great grandmother's nails were bent back and there
were obvious scratches on the inside of the coffin.

These are all connected to scary stories, so it's fine. I don't care if you tell your mother because I haven't done anything. If you don't want to see the pictures, then you don't have to open the spoilers.

It should've been quite obvious. I told a scary story, and then I said there was a picture to go with it. You could've guessed it was a scary picture.

6/10. The story by KF was okay.

This is based some what on an event that happened a long time ago. The images if you looked are pretty scary of the event. (The Black Death).

Ages at least 13+.
There was a girl named Denise (made up) during the early 1970's. She died at age 13 from a disease she caught when touching a rat. Here is the story (sad and scary around the last 3 paragraphs):

Spoiler:

I put it in a spoiler.

I don't know LOL.

A girl and her boyfriend are making out in his car. They had parked in the woods so no one would see them. When they were done, the boy got out to pee and the girl waited for him in the safety of the car.

After waiting five minutes, the girl got out of the car to look for her boyfriend. Suddenly, she sees a man in the shadows. Scared, she gets back in the car to drive away, when she hears a very faint squeak... squeak... squeak...

This continued a few seconds until the girl decided she had no choice but to drive off. She hit the gas as hard as possible but couldn't go anywhere, because someone had tied a rope from the bumper of the car to a nearby tree.

Well, the girl slams on the gas again and then hears a loud scream. She gets out of the car and realizes that her boyfriend is hanging from the tree. The squeaky noises were his shoes slightly scraping across the top of the car!!!

Example #2:
As told by Isabel Espaldon:

Here's a story my mom told to me and my friends when I was about seven years old. You can imagine I was scared to death...

A woman and her boyfriend were on their way home from somewhere (not important) one night, and suddenly his car ran out of gas. It was about one in the morning and they were completely alone in the middle of the nowhere.

The guy stepped out of the car, saying comfortingly to his girlfriend, "Don't worry, I'll be right back. I'm just going to go out for some help. Lock the doors, though."

She locked the doors and sat restlessly, waiting for her boyfriend to come back. Suddenly, she sees a shadow fall across her lap. She looks up to see... not her boyfriend, but a strange, crazed looking man. He is swinging something in his right hand.

He sticks his face close to the window and slowly pulls up his right hand. In it is her boyfriend's decapitated head, twisted horribly in pain and shock. She shuts her eyes in horror and tries to make the image go away. When she opens her eyes, the man is still there, grinning psychotically. He slowly lifts his left hand, and he is holding her boyfriend's keys... to the car.

1/10.

One day a boy named Charlie Wackaweed, was making a wish
on a star. He did not know that the wish he would be making would change
his life forever.

It was late one night, when Charlie was looking at the
stars. He had heard that if you wish on the first star you see, your wish
will become true. So he spotted the first star that he saw, and he made
a wish on it. His wish was that whatever he said or did, for it to come
true. So for instance if he would say "Let it snow" it would snow.

Just a few days later, he was sitting in Geometry class
wondering about the test they would have in about 5 minutes. When he got
the test, he sat there wishing that he would ace the test. He took the test
that was supposed to be very hard and he thought that it was easy. He got
it back and it was an A+. he was amazed because he had never had a test
and aced it before, and this test was probably the hardest one that he had
ever taken. He asked all his classmates what they had gotten on the test
and they all replied " A C+ or lower. Charlie was very excited that
he had gotten a better grade than Chris, who was an A+ student ,and Chris
had made a C-.

There was this one kid that Charlie did not like. He wished
that something bad would happen to him. The very next day he was out of
school. Charlie asked his teacher where he was he said " He is in the
hospital with a very deadly disease. It came on him so fast, and none of
the doctors have a cure. It is really weird. I have never seen anything
like it."

The very next day, Charlie heard that the kid with the
deadly disease had died. Charlie was upset about the whole situation. He
knew that it was his fault that he had died . So he went to his funeral
with sorrow and regret.

He was at home, alone, late one night. All of a sudden
the phone rang. He ran down the steps to answer it thinking that it might
be his parents. He picked up the phone and he heard the dial tone. He thought
to himself "That's weird" and then he went back up to his room
thinking no more about it. This happened several more times and he still
ignored it. Then all of a sudden the door bell rang. He went down to answer
it again thinking that it might be his best friend Jarred. He opened the
door and said "Hey Jarred......what's....." but then he noticed
that no one was there. He thought to himself "It must be those little
kids that live down the street prank calling and ringing the doorbell and
running." So he then went back up the stairs to his room, thinking
no more of it. Then there was a peck on the window. He was really starting
to get kind of scared and curious. He went to the window, opened it and
yelled "Get out of here you little kids!!" But still he saw no
one. Since it was starting to get really freaky, he decided to go and watch
some T.V. He flipped on the T.V. and right then the power went out. He knew
that the kids couldn't have done something like that because he didn't have
a fuse box. He now realized that the kids couldn't have done any of the
other things now, and he was starting to get really scared. He went and
got a flash light and he saw red eyes across the room and was coming very
fast towards him. He all of a sudden heard a low, creepy, but familiar voice
calling " Charlie..........Charlie...........Charlie.....how could
you do something like this to me?" Charlie replied "Who are you?
What do you want from me? I have no clue what you're talking about."
The voice replied "You do know what I'm talking about Charlie Wackaweed."All
of a sudden, it jumped out behind the shadows and Charlie saw a beaten,
flesh removed, kid that Charlie recognized as the kid that he had wished
that something bad would happen to. His eyes were blood red, and the flesh
that he had left was purple and blue. Charlie was scared to death. He told
the kid that he had never meant for him to be killed or even hurt, but he
didn't believe him. The kid replied "Now it is your turn to follow
the pain and death that I had suffered through." Then the kid took
Charlie out of the house, and tied him up to a tree. The kid then dug a
huge hole and then untied Charlie. The ghost said to him," I'm sorry
that it has to end this way Charlie, but this is what you have to repay
me by doing. Good-Bye Charlie!" Then the kid threw Charlie in the hole
and buried him alive.

No one really knew what had happened to Charlie Wackaweed.
Until one day a clipping all of a sudden appeared in the newspaper telling
what had happened and who had actually killed the kid that Charlie didn't
like. I am telling you now, be careful what you wish for because it just
might come true.

I know that story we are on the same website. 1/10 not scary at all couldn't happen.

this isn't that scary.
"Don't", the lady said.

The man checked himself on the stairs. He glanced down at his hands: keys, receipt, bags. He wasn't forgetting anything. Turning, he opened his mouth to ask.

"In your hallway there is a room with no numbers", the lady said. She adjusted her wig and gazed at him indifferently. She had about her the air of one who has said the same thing many times, with the same results. "Don't disturb it".

"I -- "

"Don't," she said again, and turned back to her computer.

The man shut his mouth and went up the stairs, shaking himself to be rid of a creeping sensation. Perhaps the lady's eyes had followed him up the staircase.

He came to the third floor and stepped out of the staircase. An instant draft caught the edges of his pants and snaked up his leg; he frowned, batted his pants down with his polished dress shoes, and marched down the hall. The room numbers passed by him: 303, 305, 307. Then, a room with no number, no markings, no doorknob.

He paused and tilted his head. The woman's voice floated calmly to his ears: "Don't."

With a shrug, he continued on to his room.

He awoke in the night, an unexplainable chill seeping around the edges of his room and bed. He'd checked the windows, stuck a towel against the bottom of the door, and turned on the heat, but nothing seemed to be working. Rolling out of bed, he padded down the hall to page the front desk and collect more blankets.

He came to the blank room and stopped. Curiosity filled him. He crept forward on silent bare feet and put his eye to the keyhole.

There was nothing out of the ordinary about the room. He could just make out the shape of a woman curled up on the bed, asleep. Raising his hand to knock, the man hesitated.

"Best not," he said, and shrugged.

On his way back, his arms laden with blankets, he stopped again at the room. The sleeping woman touched deep rivers of curiosity inside him. He put his eye to the keyhole again, but this time, drew back with a disappointed sigh.

The keyhole was filled with red, tinged at the edges with white. The woman, sensing a peep, must have covered the hole with red paper.

Again, he raised his hand to knock, assuring himself that it was out of common courtesy; he just wanted to apologize for spooking her. But the desk lady's voice was burned into his brain: "Don't."

The rest of the night, he tossed and turned and wondered.

When he descended the staircase just as sunlight filled the hotel lobby, the lady was back behind the desk. The man approached the counter and leaned forward. "Excuse me..."

"Can't", she said, without turning.

"Ma'am, I'm a paying customer here", he said, lowering his voice a notch and adding emphasis on the word 'paying.'

She turned slowly, and he noticed now that she had a lazy eye. "What."

"Who is staying in the unmarked room?"

"Huh," she laughed mirthlessly, and tried to turn back. But the man reached out and took her shoulder firmly, surprising even himself at the bold move.

"No. I must know."

"He murdered her," she said, in her slow drawl. "Some couple, rich snobs, were staying here five years ago. He had enough of her whining. Jammed a knife up her, jumped out the window, never got caught." The lady seemed to be enjoying her story. For the first time, she was smiling, a gap-less, perfect smile. "She's a ghost, now. All white and bloodless. Except her eyes. Her eyes, honey." She leaned forward, and the man smelled her rancid breath.

"Her eyes are red."

Releasing the woman, the man staggered backwards, grabbed his suitcase, and fled.
