They don't just randomly pick people. There would have been applications if there was a larger pool of people to select from but frankly there is 1 maybe 2 people on this forum that are active and trusted enough to do the job. Don't get upset at us because you feel entitled to applying for it. And plus Sarah has been on this forum for far longer than any of you have. We are not in any way required to ask you guys about this stuff or tell you, staff decisions are staff decisions. And frankly, on applications you can just lie. If you go based solely on their application you're gonna have some bad mods eventually. I know a lot of you guys feel like you should be mods, but if we feel you should be a mod then you will be a mod, simple as that. The criteria is actually higher than you think, and plus we usually take a while to decide these things. It's not just based off an application. Much more thought goes into it.
What makes you think we just say, "oh hey you're a mod now deal with it"?
Usually in my experience it's been in a confrontational manner where they are asked if they would like to and if they don't (they pretty much always accept.) then we pick another candidate. It's not like picking a random person and forcing them to.
Sorry if I'm rude. But I'm really sick of all the people feeling like they should be mods.
