Why does it look like this?!?!?!?

Okay I am trying to color a picture my sister drew.& I try to draw the hair and it comes out like that!!While others come out like the 2nd one!!!Do I need to change some settings????Please help me ASAP!!! D:

She has that thing when u choose a color it appears there so it will be saved if you need it again.Yep , I need that and don't know how to make it appear.HELP !! Dx

Create a new layer underneath it.
And for the swatches go to Window>Swatches

Put the layer you're coloring on UNDER the lineart layer.

BUT now it won't let me draw on it if I click layer 2 but it shows it in the little picture.

Try changing the line art's mode into Multiply

You probably clicked something, because when I had SAI, I could do my lineart and put my coloring layer below my lineart layer and color it pretty easily. But if you're downloading a lineart from someone else, make sure that it's transparent.

Did you sister draw the lineart on your computer? I'm guessing you downloaded it and the lineart isn't transparent. Unless you know how to make the lineart transparent, you'll need to make a new layer and trace over the lineart.

First, Your picture is NOT transparent. And you make it under by using a NEW LAYER and make sure its UNDER the lineart.

Second, You choose your color then go to the swatches and right click and choose Set.

I messaged her and it works. It's because she got it off from the internet and she needed to put the line art's mode to multiply

Put the layer with drawing above and the clear layer put below and the clear layer that you put below their you should start coloring..
