It's just the Katana's name. I "stole" the word from the book x3

Ability: She appears to create crystals harder than diamonds.
Weapon: Dual wielding bladed fans. Bother can be put together to make a large fan with dual blades.

Description: Amethyst's ability allows her to create crystals as well as crystallize herself. Her hair and eye color are naturally taking the light of the blue sky and constantly having her eye and hair color shift during midnight's time stop. Her two fans have steel blades at the end making it a quick and useful weapon. When the fans are put together it either has two blades to slice or can be thrown like a frisbee and come back to her like a boomerang.

Her fan folds like this and has a similar appearance, however instead of the 'x' it's a star and the paint is really a thin layer of various gems giveing it a dazzling effect reminding one of stars, hence the name. The colors are a a bland of the rainbow everywhere except the star pattern which is a solid midnight blue.:
