Omg, Fish

I think my fish just had fish babies?
I'm so confused. My mom knows and stuff but I only have one fish!
Is this like normal? I thought they were to lay eggs.... help.

That is very strange. Maybe your mother wanted to surprise you by buying you fish babies. Because, obviously, if your fish was a guy, there is no way its his babies. And i'm really sure that fish lay eggs.

Also I don't think my Mom could have gotten them for me because I live on a island and there is no pet stores that sell fish
Anyways I was thinking that maybe she laid eggs and I did not notice? And they just hatched?

Some fish get pregnant instead of laying eggs, actually.

My family used to have a huge aquarium once. There were black mollies in the aquarium, as well as some other species of fish.
And the black mollies multiplied. I've seen it, when the mother fish gave birth. Around twenty baby fishies came out of their mom, and they were so ridiculously tiny.
I think those mollies lasted for like three fish generations until we moved the ones who were left to a smaller aquarium?

But yeah. Not all fish actually lay their eggs. I think your mom might have gotten a pregnant fish for you. Do you know what the species is called?

I say it does take about 2 weeks for a baby fish to hatch maybe she hid her babies from you?

I guess the best thing to do is wait and find out or just try to see where your fish laid them or something.

Hmm, I think maybe that happened Magaleena, she is a guppy named Swimmer. She was kinda chubby when I go her that's why I wanted her.
