"Why does it matter to you? It's not like it's your bag." Break said, clinging to the trunk to avoid falling. This was getting a little risky, but he was determined to keep a hand on the bag. He was sure he needed the money more than the girl he took it from. She was so naive, anyway. "You don't even have any reason to want to get me in jail. I've done absolutely nothing to deserve your contempt."

"I'm not trying to get you into jail," Cookie said. " Plus, if it was just a stupid bag, why do you need it so much? All that's in it is a bunch of useless pieces of green paper. Which brings us back to the question; what IS that junk in the bag? WHY is it so important to you?"

Break laughed, struggling to keep his balance on the tree. "Okay, I'll make this really fast, since you're obviously too stupid for a detailed explanation. The paper is money. Without money, you can't get food. Without food, you die. I need this so I don't die. I lost my main source of income a while ago, along with some other stuff." He rolled his eyes. He wasn't sure whether he hated Cookie or felt sorry for her.

"Wait, you eat raw animals?" Break said, looking rather disgusted to say the least. "That's really gross. You know what? Starving doesn't sound so bad." He threw the bag down at Cookie's face. "Take it. You seem to really want it, anyway." He started climbing down the tree, but coming up proved much easier than going down. He misplaced his foot, broke a branch and went tumbling 15 feet.

Cookie caught his leg. "Well, no. I tried that once, and I went to the hospital for about 6 months. The doctor told me to eat cooked food, and I used the trees. Duh. But that doesn't matter, because we are going to die any second now."

Connect ran after Break and Cookie, still holding her arrow. " It's not like the cops even know I'm alive anymore." Connect smirked, but quickly turned her face into a neutral expression. She pulled the arrow into the bow. " You, person. Are you working with him? If so, give me the bag before I shoot you like I shot that Cheetah."

Cookie was confused. "What? Don't worry, he's ok. But umm... a little help here? It's not like we can DO anything, nevertheless give the bag."

Break righted himself, staring down the tree at Connect. "Oh look. It's you again." He said, abandoning the idea of climbing down. Instead, he pulled himself a little higher to keep maximum distance between himself and the two girls. "I still don't see what the big problem is. I took some money from a random chick who quite obviously didn't need it. I'm not going to go to jail, because with any luck no one's ratted me out to the police quite yet. You guys were as far as I know the only ones who saw. So why is this an issue? No one's been hurt, with the possible exception of the cheetah."

" Thank you!" Connect held the bag to her chest, holding her arrows up as they disappeared in mid-air. She quickly healed the cuts on her hands, and walked away.

"Fine, take the bag." Break said, putting up an effort to sound emotionless. "I'll probably end up starving to death, but there's no way in hell I'm handing myself over to the homeless shelter, or the police, or the orphanage or whatever. I haven't sunk so low as to do that. Not yet." He climbed back down the tree and started walking back towards the town.
