We used to have one of these, but it only got five responses and was back in May. I don't want to bump, so I made this.
It would be great if this could be stickied, so if someone ever wanted to discuss or debate about a topic that's important to them, they wouldn't have to worry about getting an infraction for bumping.
I've already planned this week's topic; Every week I'll make a new one to debate on!
This week's topic: Abortion. Agree, don't agree, or are you neutral? {Meaning you don't care/you agree with both.}
I'll start:
Removing what I thought about Abortion because APPARENTLY everything I said is completely incorrect and rude even though what I said aren't facts; They're my opinions. -.-
Well, that's what I think. How about you?

@Maka You're right. I don't think it's always the mom's fault, though. The condom could break, and birth-control can fail.

To me, I think it's really stupid for these pathetic teenagers to dump a BABY into a dumpster. Abortion is FREE {At-least here in Canada} So money isn't a problem. It's possible that the teenager was scared to take the baby out, but your numb; It's like surgery!

I mean, I understand mistakes happen, but if you're 15 years old, why are you even HAVING SEX? Most of the time, even UNPROTECTED SEX? I mean, you should know the problems that you'll have to face with unprotected sex; Not only STDs, but also the chance of a baby.

So I'm just going to pick through what you said Angellina, because there were some things that were wrong and other things that could have been worded a bit better, and because of your wording I was just want to express what I felt as if you were trying to convey...
Zygote does not equal an embryo or fetus. You had said "'...fetus/zygote."' and while this can be taken in one way where you would've been correct, your next sentence makes it come out in the wrong way. A zygote is created upon fertilization which comes to be an embryo which in turn becomes a fetus. A zygote is a mixture of cells a fetus is organized and the cells have begun to form organs. Also your statement that abortion usually occurs during the fetal stage is incorrect. Abortion can occur when it's a zygote, embryo or fetus. I think it would've been better to say induced  abortion usually occurs during the first and second trimester with third trimester abortions occurring when the mother's life is endangered and the child is proven to not make it or something along those lines.
Killing a baby is murder, how ever if it can sometimes be considered double homicide if a woman and her unborn fetus is killed why isn't it considered the same of inducing abortion? Yes it's different circumstances, but either way a child is killed, no? Just another way to think about it, that's all ^-^
Now I'm sorry if I sound rude, but this really bugged me. I mean who are you to judge whether a drug addict/ teenager pregnant with a child with a illness whither mental or physical doesn't care about her child? I find the statement ridiculous, and it almost comes out as facetious. I'm quite sure there are many drug addicts and teenagers who love their children no matter what the problem is with that child. In fact, my dad has know a few people just like that. My friend is the product of a teenage pregnancy. You know what? These children are all fine they haven't been abused in any way shape form or fashion. Additionally, not everyone can go through with abortion just because it may be common sense. People have morals and beliefs. Abortions can go against these morals and beliefs. I personally would never have an abortion because I could not do it, it goes against my morals. Maka could go through it however because her morals may differ from mine. Everyone's different, not everyone can go through something like this you know?
Additionally, no life has a bump-free road. Everyone on this planet has gone through something considered "bumpy" by their standards, that I am quite sure. Whether they've been adopted, have a nuclear family, live with a drug addict, or a teen-aged mother, they will always have bumps in their roads.
Sorry again if I come off as rude, but it's debating I guess?
Any who, I think abortion would be fine if there were proper regulations for it. I know we can't just upright ban it, you guys watch the Gosnell case? Nope? Well I guess it's good CNN, ABC, etc. didn't cover it, because it was terrible. What this man did was nothing but butchery. If you're interested in it I suggest looking it up, but I warn you, what this man did was terrible and things might be graphic. Why does this matter you might think? Well if abortion was banned, "doctors" like Gosnell could flourish and quite possibly keep under the radar causing more pain and suffering for women and babies alike. It's because of this I think abortions are okay when regulated so we can prevent psychos like Gosnell from flourishing. There also a lot of other factors to consider when debating abortion, but I'm tired and I tried to type this whole thing three times already. I think what I have said is sufficient for now.

I'm Nuetral. I kinda have to be. The Bible says that there is only one way to love~ man and woman. But on the other side its all the same love right? I want everyone to be happy and its nice that they have their soul mates. But My Uncle (Its HIS opion NOT MINE) thinks that gays and lesibians shoudn't be alive because that's is not how the bible is written. I don't agree that they shouldn't be alive but the Bible is words from God and I have to follow them in Church and Bible study. I want to have Gays be legal in all states but its the Bible and I can't not listen to it. ((By the way my aunt thinks its the same love to))

^@Angelina I don't really think there's many homophobic people here, if not any, but hey i'll shasre my two cents on the topic anyways
I strongly believe that gay marriage should be legal nationally (thank god it's legal in ca) because first of all, it's their choice and not anyone else. Second because, the bible doesn't say anything about gay marriage. Third, because for gay people, it feels just as natural to be attracted to the same sex as a straight person is attracted to the opposite sex.
Also, it doesn't "destroy the traditional meaning of marriage." If you really want the traditional meaning of marriage, then have fun sending your daughter off to another man, in exchanged for something such as cattle. It's great we don't have a "traditional marriage" system anymore, right?
but yeah im 500% pro gay rights

On the Gay rights, Although it's true that the bible say's there's only one way to love - man and woman- the bible also says God loves ALL his children. ALL doesn't mean just the straights. I remember I was reading something, about how in CA Gay Marriage is Legal, and someone commented, " Great job, California! Now the gays can get it on in-front of a bunch of kids!"
That bothered me. A LOT. You don't understand how many times I see a straight couple a month, week, OR EVEN DAY making out in children's parks, sitting on top of each-other on benches, and even worse. NO ONE cares or has said anything about this; Just shaking there head is all they do. NOW, people think it'll be horrible when gays just kiss a little in public? I believe that both should take it easy; Not going too far in public, just the light pecking or whatever.

UGH YES (Also, I have yet to see anyone "get it on" in public. JS) When I was little, I didn't really want to see people kissing in public because I thought it was gross. Now I don't really care because people can do what they want (as long as it's in the law, of course). Gay people kissing is the same thing as straight people kissing, except they get more hate because it's ""unnatural"" for straight people. I don't see why people (mostly parents) make such a big deal out of gay couples going out together in public. I don't care if people kiss in public, or hold hands in public. I've constantly heard that it's because they're scared that they're going to have gay children; looking at gay couples will apparently make you gay. Yeah, no. You can't just look at a gay couple and automatically become gay. No. I don't look at straight couples and then automatically become straight. It's the same logic. And anyways, gay couples going out in public aren't "committing a sin" or anything. They're just spending time together, which is what straight couples do, and no one gives them crap about it.
I remember my dad used to tell me that being gay was bad because you can't have children. Doesn't this mean that infertile couples should be banned from marrying as well because from an evolutionary standpoint, they can't have children as well..?
@Elliot yeah, that's what I meant as well (im so sorry im tired Whoops)

Also don't forget what Jesus said when a crowd wished to stone a woman for adultery:"'When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, 'Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.""
While it's not exactly on gay marriage and rights, it can be used when "bible thumpers" (sorry it's what we call them in the bible belt when we aren't one ourselves) try to make homosexuals out to be sinners and evil doers. I know for a fact we've all sinned. Might not have been anything major, but I'm quite sure it's happened, am I right? So what gives one person the right the call another a sinner? It's as if they also don't pay attention to the unconditional love Jesus teaches, you know? We should love everyone and give them equal rights no matter their gender, looks, or sexuality. Sadly we don't get to have that. Homosexuals can't marry each other in most states, men and women are mistreated, and minorities as well as majorities aren't treated equally in the court of law.
So I say, let the people love and marry who THEY want to. Give them every right I have as someone who is straight.

"The Beast 666 ordains by His authority that every man, and every woman, and every intermediately-sexed individual, shall be absolutely free to interpret and communicate Self by means of any sexual practices soever, whether direct or indirect, rational or symbolic, physiologically, legally, ethically, or religiously approved or no, provided only that all parties to any act are fully aware of all implications and responsibilities thereof, and heartily agree thereto." taken from the Book of Law, AKA one of the main books that the majority of my belief system is based off of. I think that should sum everything up and make it pretty obvious that I'm 100% pro-equality as far as sexual practices and such go.

I am absolutely 100% pro gay rights. Anyone who says it's "unnatural" is wrong. 1 in every 10 sheep is gay. If it happens in nature, it is therefore natural. Also, I can't remember an instance where God said homosexuality was bad. Anyone who is able to prove me wrong, please come forward. It's really annoying when people act like two guys (or two girls) holding hands or kissing is the worst, most disgusting thing in the world but a girl and a boy making out in public is perfectly okay. There isn't really a difference, is there? Gender doesn't really matter in the long run. Girls can get pregnant, guys can get girls pregnant. That's pretty much it. Everything else is just society's expectations.
