Fantage Forum Art Project

Hey so I had this interesting idea for a community art project for the forum! It's going to take some time, and I want to make sure it's done right. So I'm going to need all of your help to do this! (This is going to be a really long post and it's important that you read it all! So I do apologize in advance for the long reading, but there's a lot I need to cover.)

How It Works:

Basically, I'll need a lot of users to join. I'm going to give you a few days to join, so I don't want any last minute entries. Normally I would accept people joining late, but for this kind of project it wouldn't work, sorry! (I may extend the join deadline, depending on if we have enough people) Once everyone has joined, I'll randomly assign you each another user. You will then need to make a sketch for that user. Once you've finished that, you're going to pm the user the sketch you made. (If you don't receive a sketch pm me and I'll try to fix it) Finally, you're going to make a lineart based off of the sketch you receive. This way, we can compare each others' styles.

What You Will be Drawing:

You're going to make a sketch of your fantage character, in any preferred pose or style. If you don't play fantage or for some reason can't access your fantage, just google "fantage characters" and draw something from there.

Part 1:

Signing up-

I will give you 5 days to sign up. You can sign up by simply posting below saying you'd like to join. I'm looking for at least ten people to join, hopefully more. If I need to, I'll extend the signup deadline (as mentioned above).

Part 2:

Sketch process-

The day after I close signups, I will assign you all somebody to make a sketch for. You will then have five more days to create a sketch for that person. There is no need to let the person you're drawing for influence the way you create your sketch! Draw it in your style, so long as it's clear what you were going for. The more detailed the sketch, the better. By the fifth day, you must have pmed your sketch to the person you were assigned.

Part 3:

Lineart process-

This shouldn't take as long, since all you have to do is trace over the sketch and make some changes. I'll give you three days to complete the lineart. Once you're done, please pm me the sketch you received, along with the lineart you made. By the fourth day, I should have everybody's finished work.

Once I have all the sketches and linearts, I'll make a huge post showcasing all of them. I hope you've read the rules, since there's no "magic word" you need to say. Oh yeah, and I'll be participating in this, too. Good luck with your drawings!

also, i've made a slight change to the rules since elliot brought up a good point. in case it wasn't clear, you are allowed to make the lineart in your style. just be sure to keep the same overall shape and size of the original sketch.

remember, you have until midnight pacific standard time (Los Angeles, Vancouver area) on the 23rd to sign up!

I'ma little confused, but I read everything. So basically we're drawing our fantage characters as a sketch and sending the sketch to the person you assigned us so they can do the lineart?

I'd like to join... but I can't always scan my pictures on time for this sort of thing, and school starts tomorrow. Do you have a deadline, for sending in pictures, in mind yet?

@cefie and @henrietta you can do the sketch and lineart traditionally, if you'd like. just make sure you have a good quality picture.

@cefie and @relora i'm not sure if you guys are joining, so i'll leave you off the list until i get a definite 'yes' or 'no'.

It's okay to complete and color your sketch afterwards by yourself right? I just drew mine and I'm kind of proud of it.
