Spokeo PERSONAL INFO

I just came on to let you all know that there is a website called spokeo.com and it basically has everyone's personal information on it.

It has your address, number, email and everything else. If someone pays 2$ they have access to all of your information.

I suggest you search your name and make sure you, or your relatives arent there.

If your name is there, just click this link:
http://www.spokeo.com/optout

You put the link of the profile, like if you find your name and click it copy the link and paste it in the first box, put your email and fill in the captcha then go to your email click the 'spokeo' then click ''to complete this process click this link'' and then it deletes your info.

Uh I don't believe you.....

I am too scared to click it...Does that make me look like a baby? I am going to check it out if someone has proof to me that this link is not connected to a jump scare or something like that.

I believe this and it looks VERY legit I'm gonna click it just to be safe.

UPDATE: It has my dad!!!!! I gotta remove it!

UPDATE ( again ): removed it. It looks as if it only tracks people in the US so pretty much my entire family is safe.

honestly, i get that the creators of the site had good intentions when creating spokeo. like, it was just supposed to allow you to find people. but seriously, i want to sue them. having personal information like this that can be accessed by anybody in the world for just a small fee SHOULD BE OPTIONAL. you should have the choice of putting your information on there, not have some stranger put it on there without your consent. besides, this is the kind of personal information that should be on police records, and not public access.

^thank you, this for anybody with their entire family in the USA be prepared to wipe an aful lot of info of that stupid site. Everybody should know about this. Tell everybody that will listen. Because, honestly, who wants a bunch of crazy stalkers at thier house? NOBODY Unless you're just downright weird

maybe it was another person then. i searched my parents and the info was totally accurate, right down to our home phone

Searched up all of my family members' names, including my own. It said, "We could not find profiles for ______ in ____."

We live in the United States, too.

So I guess it hadn't got to certain people yet

I couldn't find myself but I could find all the other people in my family ._.

I'm glad i don't live in the U.S.A Phew....

It probably only targets people +18 mostly.

yep, there are some minors.  i checked.  usually people with records would go on there, though.
