| Welcome to the Arcana Island RP. Enjoy~ - ”Storyline”:
In the not too distant future, every single place on earth is inhabited by humans, and cities are built from small huts to skyscrapers. However, one place remains; Arcana Island. Scientists don’t know why, or how. But they can’t seem to build anything there. Every explorer, every scientist, every warrior that ever set foot on the island never came back home. Rumors had spread about the mystical place; there was plenty of food, water, and nothing dangerous seemed to have been lurking there. Some people say there were werewolves, vampires, diseases, something; but no one could find out the problem, and they lost all reception once they gained sight of the island, so the only way to tell anyone anything was to come back alive.
What they didn’t know is that people were living on that island already. It was their home. And it had a secret. The people living there had special powers; ones that only anyone who lives there has. It was their job to protect the island, because in a cave at a secret part of the island lived a mystical object: A magic conch shell, the source of their power. If it were destroyed then they would all die. So if an outsider ever came to the island, the people have to kill him or her to protect the conch. If they didn’t, the humans would find the conch. Then, being consumed by its power, would take it. The conch could only be handled by the magical people of the island, so the conch would explode if the humans managed to bring it off the island. The islanders cannot leave, or else they would die. They are forced to drive humans off or kill them. The islanders preferred killing so that all knowledge of their island would be lost, since previous invasions had killed many of them.
However, one faithful day a ship was lost at sea. It was old and malfunctioning, so it veered straight to Arcana Island. Eventually, the ship sank and a few people manage to get a life boat. Strangely, the underwater road that the ship followed ended right when they saw Arcana Island. Some were happy because they knew civilization would be there, but others were frightened because it was possible that they had found the legendary island that no one could escape. They people made it there, and the trouble began to arise with the magical people when they hear of the humans arriving. Are you a castaway or a magical person? Will you fight or make peace?
- ”Rules”:
1. Be active.
2. All normal rp rules apply.
3. Violence and Romance is okay as long as you keep it PG 13.
4. Magical people should not be godlike. Be creative with your powers because it could be worth more than you thought.
5. Castaways don’t have any idea about the conch! If you see the conch then you’re supposed to want it and take it. The magical people are the only ones who can convince you otherwise.
6. You can have up to 3 characters.
7. No mary sues.
8. If you have an especially important rank on the island, please PM me. If you are a leader then please see the leader roles you can take. The castaways will also have rankings.
- ”Island Description”:
The island is going to be a warm and tropical one. Mosquitoes, spiders, flies and large beetles are common here. The sea has colorful fish but watch out for barracudas and jellyfish. There are a lot of crabs. There are palm trees and edible plants, and bananas are a rare find on the island. There are chickens and monkeys living here, the monkeys being mischievous and great thieves. There are plenty of birds here. - ”Map”:
 Beach: The beach is on the outside of the island and is where the shipwrecked people will appear at. However, please describe where on the beach (Ex. Near the pond, near the forest, etc.) Pond: The pond can be accessed through the beach by going through a river surrounded by trees, although the map is cut off :3. Most of the islanders live there in a fishing village, where the people are rich with fish and trade. This is kind of a “town square” type place, where there are most of the markets and people. Important leaders live here. Forest: This is the thick jungle, with an abundance of plants and animals. A river runs through it to supply water. Very few people live here. Most are doctors, those of which have healing powers. The people here have varied houses and tree houses, and are responsible for exotic plants, animals, and items created from what was found. Conch Shell Mountains: This place has almost no one living here. Instead, miners live around it and mine through the mountains. Warriors or guards guard this place when there are intruders. The conch shell is hidden deep in the caves where almost no one can find it except for the islanders, but young children don’t know where until they turn 13. Miners travel through the rivers, but turning the wrong way could lead to a rocky rapid. The river through the mountains goes into the beach but you must get past the rapids to get to the other side. Plains: The plains are where farmers live, so there are an average amount of people but it tilts a little to the lesser amount side. Farms mainly include bananas, wheat, nuts, berries and cows, and are fairly small and spread out. Forest Border: No one lives here, but islanders do what they please there. People do visit often; although they are quite spread apart and normally don’t really see each other. No one leaves a trace of human life behind and it’s just that little barrier castaways have to pass to get to the real place. So basically most people live at the pond and a few others are scattered across the island. There is a small town of 50 people altogether on the island, so feel free to create NPCs as often as you like o.O

- ”ISLANDERS”:
Warrior: This is a highly respected person who fights (duh). You can be an archer or a swordsman or whatever, but please specify in your post.
Assassin/Spy: This person reports information or secretly assassinates people. That type of stuff. It’s the same as a warrior, except no one knows about it and you aren’t honored (sorry). If you’d like to be some kind of special type of Assassin, please specify in your post.
Miner: A person who mines in the conch shell mountains. You must live somewhere near the mountains but not necessarily right next to the mountains. If you want something special about your miner, please specify in your post.
Farmer: You can just farm stuff but farmers can also hunt. You must live in the plains. If you want something special about your farmer, please specify in your post.
Doctor: You uh, heal stuff ^_^. It is preferred that you live in the jungle, but anywhere else is fine. If you want something special about your Doctor, please specify in your post.
Fisherman: You fish. You must live at the pond. IF you want something special about your Fisherman, please specify in your post.
Woodsman: You hunt or do something special in the woods. You must live in the jungle or near the jungle. Please specify what type of woodsman you are or you will cut down trees by default.
Pond Leader: You represent the people who live at the pond. Must live at the pond.
Forest Leader: You represent the people who live in the forest. Must live in the forest.
Plains Leader: You represent the people who live in the plains. Must live in the plains.
Conch Shell Mountains Leader: You represent the people who live in the conch shell mountains. Must live at the conch shell mountains

Ship Helper: You help out at the ship. You can be a waiter, a captain, anything, but please specify in your post.

Normal: You were just going somewhere and oops.
Wiseguy: You’ve heard of Arcana Island and know everything about all the rumors.
Fighter: It turns out you brought a weapon with you. Please specify what and why in your post.
- ”BATTLE RULES”:
If you feel like fighting someone legit then I put this in. Each character has 20HP and gains HP when they try to heal themselves. You can only hit/heal once per post, unless you get a 10. Use a random number generator.
When Hitting:
1-5: Miss
6: Minus 1 HP
7: Minus 2 HP
8: Minus 3 HP
9: Minus 4 HP
10: Minus 5 HP, hit again!
When healing (you must use some form of healing for it to count, eating/sleeping counts too):
1-4: No health
5: No health, try again
6: 1 HP
7: 2 HP
8: 3 HP
9: 4 HP
10: 5 HP, heal again!

Personality: Serena is shy and kind to animals. She likes to keep peace but is absolutely terrified of people who invade the island. She is good at survival and is smart, but she is sort of a scaredy-cat. She does not trust anyone can say rude or impulsive things to people, making her socially awkward at times. However she is responsible and trustworthy, she won’t try to lie. She makes a good deal with shop owners and is good with business. She always wants to help people but sometimes just gets in the way. She likes being alone and away from others.
Bio: Her parents were killed by invaders when she was a baby. Her older brother took care of her until more invaders came and killed him, too. She lived on her own with the family dog, Stripe. She had trouble using her powers until a while after her brother died, who had tried to teach her how to use them. He also taught her how to fight with a bow and arrow. She practices a lot now and has gotten better.
Power: Serena can control wind.
Rank: Other: Serena gives warning calls of invaders using a conch shell (not the real one, duh)
Area you live in: Serena lives in a tree house in the jungle, closer to the pond.

Bio:Her parents live somewhere else they are unknown when she had come on this island with the powers and made friends really fast.She doesn't know any of her family... Power:She gets a buzz from her hand that only she can hear if someone is spying on her.Also she can signal people like something will happen and make a signal message that only islanders know in code. Bio: She was born by the king of the sea (lol, little mermaid moment) and was a cute little mermaid. then one day a witch cast a spell on her for some reason and made her a half human half mermaid. her dads memory was erased, and so was the other mermaids. they neglected her then. she met an island with all these coconuts, she loves coconuts, so she lived there. the end

Personality: Ameliee is curious and an inquirer, often asking questions that will make you feel awkward. She loves fishing and she's a talented cook. She's always trying to defend her family, but she feels lonely once in a while. She makes great jokes and loves socializing with others. She isn't used to new people, she hates invaders, because she believes they caused the death of her parents, so it's hard to get her to be open minded about them. She hardly leaves the pond region.
Biography: Ameliee was a normal girl. She was trained to fish since she was little. Her dad as a great fisher, so she learned quickly. Her mom cooked the fish and they often did it together. She had an older brother, Tide. When he turned 16, he had to go through a test to achieve manhood. He was supposed to survive for 9 months in the thickest of the jungle. It was a honored family tradition. They said their goodbyes, since Ameliee was very close with her brother. He never came back. Her parents were devastated. Not long after, her aunt's house burned down. That resulted in the death of her uncle, who used to be a miner. They moved into their house, her aunt and cousin, Opal. Her mom got pregnant with a baby boy she named Charlie. A few years later, her parents set off in a ship around the island to protect it from invaders. A tropical storm brought them to a watery grave. Her aunt taught her how to throw knives. She learned quickly. There was an accident, though, in training, and Opal threw a knife at her mother. She was dead before the healers could save her. Ameliee was the oldest of all her remaining family. She had to take care of everyone. She protected them from an invasion and she's willing to do it again. However, this gave her time to develop her powers. She would go fishing while Opal took care of Charlie and they thrived. Ameliee would drain the pond and collect fishes. She also used her powers to teach Opal how to swim. Opal's power was to sense vibrations in the ground. She senses what things are buried down there. To earn money, she sells her fish for money in a nearby little flea market.
