Does anyone remember the flag animation I made for Norway's national day, May 17th?
I am not only Norwegian, I'm also part Finnish. My dad's Finnish. And yesterday(December 6th) was Finland's national day, so to (kinda) celebrate, I made a recoloredit, even though we didn't really celebrate it here.

I was about to post this yesterday, but then it was too late for my parents to allow me to.

Who did I recolor? One of my Finnish cousins, who also has a fantagian. She doesn't go on that much anymore, though.

Luckily, I have witnessed many of your great art and did not fall off my chair in wonder and awe. Somehow, this caught my eye, I don't know why. Maybe its the hair...

It's like, independence from Russia, yes? YES IT IS SHUSH DON'T INVALIDATE MY NEGLIGIBLE FINNISH KNOWLEDGE.

Oh lol I'm so Mexican. Does Humon have a Finland day comic? Isn't she/he Danish? Meh. I didn't get this from Humon anyhow.

i do not pay a lot attention to Finnish holidays kind of not my forte you know well it is interesting it just isn't like OH MY GOD FINNISH HOLIDAY anyway cool and don't freak out on me because said so

Thanks, and I'm pretty much in the same situation.
When I first posted my recolors and got all those nice replies, I felt so happy that I couldn't even describe it. I still get happy by nice feedback, but now I'm so used to it that I'm almost expecting to get nice feedback. Lol. Now I mostly just post my recolors to showcase them and get comments..

Hyvää (tosi myöhää) itsenäisyyspäivä!
Ä is kinda pronounced like the A in at, Ö is kinda pronounced like the U in uhh. Norway(and Denmark, for that sake) has Æ instead of Ä(still the same sound), and Ø instead of Ö. Neither Finland nor Norway(nor Sweden nor Denmark(not sure about Iceland, though)) has the letters Ü and Ë, so I have no idea how those are pronounced. Aren't those letters for German?
And I'm not really sure how they celebrate it neither in Finland or in Russia, but I'll say that those countries are/were enemies, more or less. So I doubt it's celebrated the same way in both countries...

Actually, this is the only Finland-exclusive holiday that I know of. Mostly because I don't live there anymore. I moved to Norway as a baby, more or less.

I used Paint for the recolor itself, and Gimp for recoloring the background. Thanks. Smile
