Short story- Drift Away

The echoes filled her room, but truly, what happened? She looks at me, pointing at the weapons in my hands and legs. Nobody really cares about the silence. It was just a place where speaking was not allowed. She took my hand, and the shadows slowly disappeared, leaving us two. They dissolve into stars, now I am unarmed. Unaware of what to do. A ridiculously straight face crosses against her cheeks, opening and closing, as if she was about to die.

Shooting stars. That's all. She swallowed them, slowly, slowly, quickly. Turning into teardrops. Is that the fate I will get? The fate I deserve? She stares at me in confusion, but shouldn't she be the one who started this in the first place? She looks young, how come I never noticed it? Between the ruffles and bows and very large eyes. Maybe it was just that what surrounded her was so mature, so very gloomy, it just made her like them.
Dark.
Empty.
Hollow.

It takes too long, and she just keeps on swallowing, popping them into her mouth, and sparks flying out.
She looks at me with a wide smile, just like a little girl. I never noticed, I never noticed. Clasping her hands together, I feel a shrill, and my hands seem to droop, larger, larger, and then I cried. Something felt wrong, I seemed to be turning into some sort of monster. Is this what happens when you commit a sin? I wish of nothing. What did I do? The hands keep on growing, sizes of buildings and mountains, I am a freak. I am absurd. Laugh, make fun, it is what I deserve, but if you please, blame it on childhood.

Her. I know her. What? No one cares about silence. It is just a place where you are not allowed to speak. I know her, she told me too much, as a child, as a teenager, as a adult, as a old man, as a body without a soul. Too much, she babbled, without ever growing, always in the body of a little girl, had she resisted growing? Had she become immortal on her own?
Laughs.
Birds.
Stars.
Planets.
She lived in one. I lived in one. We all lived in one. Humming, dancing, she had never resisted it, just stopped when she wanted to, and forced herself to cripple. Taking my hand, we are in a starry sky, that is what she wished, that is what I wished, what we all wish.

You were young, and then you were old. You missed me. I missed you. Is this your form of a welcome? My hands shrink.
Smaller.
Smaller.
Stop.
It seemed like a paradise, she took my hand and smiled, wont you ever change? The planets danced upon us, I grabbed it. Umbrellas. You loved them. Why? I don't know. Food, the only thing you never wanted, you are gobbling it. I want you. Stay by my side, you disappeared, never let that happen again, I understand, I have disappeared too. Lets sing a song. Let's do all you want. I miss you, I want you, and now you are here. Off into the paradise, I become what I have longed, do not blame childhood no more.
