| UPDATED EVERY FRIDAY- Prologue (by Lyli):
-
The summer heat radiated off my back. A guy at my school, which name was still unknown to me, was standing right behind the gas pump, just talking to his friends. I craned my neck to just get a peek of him, when I caught his eye and he sent a devious smile back my way. Electrical currents raced through my arms. As soon as I was about to walk over to him, a water balloon exploded right on my perfectly sun-glowed face. He-who’s-name-was-still-unknown cracked up immediately, my face seemed to lose its glow and drained to a ghostly white, and everything around me seemed to freeze. This could not be happening. I thought. Sadness filled me. I wanted to cry, but at the same time I didn’t. Maybe I shouldn’t take this so seriously. It’s was probably just one of those Let‘s-prank-the-hot-new-girl-because-it’s-funny type of pranks as a stupid way to show you like a girl and try to impress her. I retraced my thoughts again and examined his face. He was still laughing, but instead of a cute, flirtatious laugh; it was an evil deep, dark laugh; with random lighting effects and all.
- Chapter 2 (by Makkine):
-
That was my first diary entry. It was followed by many more. The recollections soon became a small, bound book which contained all my secrets, all my possible emotions filtered into two covers, letters scrawled into the margins, math equations hastily solved between tear-splattered pages full of love and rejection. Love and rejection. Love and rejection. I must be bipolar. And I drew, a little bit, mostly smiling fantasies in which the entire freaking world was a utopia. A place of love with no rejection.
How pathetic.
Of course, sometimes you can see hints of what I was going to become. I usually described myself as "hot". I knew everyone was going to like me eventually. I was born to live on top of them, to smile in just the right way so that they had no choice but to follow me. In a nutshell, I was, --I am-- the most popular girl in school.
If I were still in my first year, I would write in my stupid diary about how the dance will be tomorrow, how nobody will like me (probably 'cuz I'm a stupid emo kid), how much life sucks. But, now that I'm older and wiser, I know I will get asked out by somebody.
How? Secrets. That's how I got to where I am now, and that's how I'll climb even higher. Secrets hold power. If you know enough about who likes who, who's the weird kid, who's in therapy, you can manipulate someone with nothing more than a single word. You can break them down until they stay sobbing in the floor. Like they used to do to me.
For example, tomorrow I will wear a leather jacket, because he likes it when I look tough. And I will go to the bike lot and I will walk towards him with a certain slouch, and I will raise my eyebrows and ask him out in front of all of his friends because he likes it when I act bold. I will breathe in the heavy cigarette smoke until it fills my lungs, until it lets loose its nicotine odor across my nose. I love that smell.
But still, the dastardly "what if"s are beginning to grow like a malicious tumor in the back of my head. What if I am rejected? I'll just go look for someone else. What if he calls me a wannabe? I will just use my sharp tongue that has broken down countless people once again. What if I can't stand the smell of the smokers? What if his friends laugh about me the next day? I'll just text everything I know about him to everyone who has a cell.
Or I might cry. Same diff, anyways.
- Chapter 3 (By Magdaleena):
-
The next day I was at school. Of course. To be more precise, I was at the outdoor area of our school. It was raining, but for some odd reason, I liked it. And apparently, everybody else was whining about how they had to go outside during this weather when they didn't really want to. Well, except for my latest crush and his friends, who were all standing there under the roof, looking badass while pushing everybody else out in the rain. I started walking towards them, not caring about the rain. Then, my face hit the wet ground. Probably because I tripped on something. I tried to get up, but then I noticed this tiny figure standing in front of me, which seemed to be about one inch tall. It looked like a tiny human. And it had wings. Fairy wings. Fairy wings? Huh, since when did fairies really exist? Is this a dream or something? Also, it-- no, she looked angry. I didn't really care, to be honest. "Tripping over our little shelter, huh?" she said with her tiny voice, which I barely heard. I wanted to swat her with my hand and go away, but for some reason I decided not to. Seeing a fairy isn't exactly an everyday sight.
- Chapter 4 (By Bladerunner22):
-
“Well, now that you’ve seen us, we can’t have you running around telling everyone about us,” the fairy said coldly. “Come.” “I’m not following you.” I said firmly. I got off from the hard, cold ground and started running. Well, at least I tried too. My body was felt like stone, but I could still move my hands.
“I’m sorry, but you will have to come with us.” The fairy said. Suddenly, with a flash of light, I started getting smaller into I was as tall as her. “What have you done?!” I said, looking at myself. “Nothing much.” She replied. “NOTHING MUCH?!” I screamed with a weird, annoying, squeaky, tiny voice. “I’m as tiny as YOU!” “Well, it is your punishment for knocking our shelter over. Now you will help us rule the world!” she said with an evil laugh, raising her hands in the air. At that exact moment, I heard loud thunder in the gray sky above me.
I looked at her with a weird expression. She wants to rule the world? Isn’t this supposed to be an innocent fairy, the one that brings joy and dances and stuff? “Yes, we will destroy the world with one dance at a time.” She said, almost reading my thoughts. “Dancing? DANCING? You are going to destroy the world with dancing? Haha!” I asked, with a little laugh. I was amused. You couldn’t destroy the world with a dance. Could you?
“Oh, of course you can. You will see soon enough.” she said with a little chuckle. I had enough of this weird conversation. I rubbed my eyes, hoping that I would wake up and this would have just been a bad dream. I opened my eyes and I still saw the same fairy and the same boring rainy weather. I heard a loud bell ring and I realized that the school was supposed to go in. The weather was getting bad after all. I tried to turn the other way and run away, but I felt like there was a hard, metal chain around me. “Oh, you are not going anywhere.” she said firmly. What does this fairy want from me? Suddenly, I felt like something hit me in the head and then I blacked out.
- Chapter 5 (by Zoroark):
-
I awoke, the back of my head sore, in a dark room. I couldn't see, but I could tell my hands and feet were tied up. It wasn't rope they tied me up with, though, it vines - thorny vines. "WHAT IS GOING ON?!" I yelled, totally clueless. I saw two lights glowing red in the distance.
"I'm not afraid..!" I said, my voice cracking - I'm horrible at trying to sound tough. A blinding white light came on and there were two fairies in front of me with red glowing gems on their necklaces. "...I was afraid of two fairies? Jeez, I need to get a grip..."
"Yes, you do, on that vine behind you. This floor is about to fall. Teehee!~" the fairy wearing darker red said. "WHAT?!" I yelled, in shock. I began reaching for the vine behind me. Noticing it was covered in thorns, I was afraid to grab hold. "...Life or death, Miya, it's life or death..." I muttered to myself, reaching for the vine behind me. I gripped it tightly, and the fairies were giggling like crazy. "What, what's so funny?" I demanded. "Oh, nothing..." the brighter red fairy giggled.
Suddenly the floor gave out and there I was, screaming like an idiot and hanging above a deadly drop. I grip on the vine was slipping and the fairies continued giggling. "HELP!" I screamed afraid my life was going to end.
Then I grew sparkly pink fairy wings.
- Chapter 6 (by candy):
-
I fluttered my newly-grown wings to check if they worked. Pink fairy dust dropped into the nothingness. Now’s a better time than ever, I said to myself. I let go of the vine and fluttered up, leaving the nothingness behind.
“Why were you laughing at me?” I asked the two giggling fairies that had told me that the floor was falling. They carried on giggling and wouldn’t tell me anything. “If you won’t answer me, then I’m leaving! I can find my own way,” I said with a waver in my voice.
So I ran out of the doorway, into the light. I had to navigate lots of corridors, but I finally reached the exit. A fairy with lilac wings was guarding it. “Please let me go; this place is horrid. I want to go home, please,” I asked the fairy. “Give a good reason why I should let you go, then I’ll CONSIDER the fact of letting you go,” the fairy answered back, a tone of boredom in her voice. “Because… because… because my friends and family are missing me!” I said triumphantly. “Sigh… You don’t get it. We have to keep you here; because you saw us. Blossom, the fairy that brought you here, is kind of crazy. She-”
The fairy didn’t get to finish her sentence. Blossom come into the small alcove. “Bees-extermination.” In no more than half a minute, the guard fairy was dead and had turned into dust. I wanted to run, but Blossom held my hair, forcing me to stop. “You ent going anywhere, missy. Come with me, or you’ll be exterminated as well.” So I followed her and she led me to another room. Then, Blossom pulled a chain and a silver cage fell around me. “Have fun…”Blossom said before leaving me, all alone.
Yeah, this thing is up and running now! The next writer should be.... Abbey You have until Friday to put up Chapter 9. I think it was 9. Oh no wait, it was seven nevermind.

| This is just epic. I've never seen you write in the POV of a character like this, and you pulled it off amazingly. | |

| - Chapter I don't know:
-
I fluttered my newly-grown wings to check if they worked.
