Angry mod here.

Hey, Makkine reporting, here after a few days of not logging on and seeing everyone being rude, disrespectful, and catty towards one another. That is not the behaviour I expected from this userbase at all. Re-read the rules. You cannot be passive-aggressive, rude, disrespectful, or generally unkind towards ANY USER ON HERE. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW ANNOYING/NOOBY THEY ARE. I apologise for the caps lock, but honestly? Honestly?! Leaving threads are prohibited from now on, I am locking any I see. Not just leaving threads, but threads singling out a single user or hating on anyone will be locked as well.

Here are a few posts from the one thread I visited to give you examples of what is NOT ALLOWED ON THIS FORUM. The usernames aren't included, but you know who you are. It isn't just that thread, anyway, but it was that thread that opened my eyes to everything that has been happening on here. Pretty much every post from a few users has been rude, passive-aggressive, or self-righteous.

This isn't that bad and doesn't warrant an infraction, but I am reminding everyone to please be respectful and not call others "self-centred".

Do not assume everyone believes what you do. Be respectful of all belief/religious systems. Homophobia is also not tolerated. I'm bi-curious, myself (leaning towards lesbian at the moment), so this hits close to home. Same with racism or sexism.

Thank you for bringing this all to mind, with out it I'm sure everyone would just stay oblivious to it and keep on going.

I don't really know how you will take that whole message, seeing as the internet doesn't allow me to articulate and enunciate and emphasis etc, but it was meant to be positive and understanding. Not rude know-it-all and belittling and not suck-uppish either.

We promise that we won't be rude, but for some reason i felt as him that all of those posts didn't seem to be rule breaking or anything.

But it is your opinion to be honest i am kinda use to seeing people argue and be in heated debates, so it was all kinda normal for me.

And I've never seen some of those posts, most probably they were posted when i was asleep?

But the internet is a place where some people can be over dramatic and since no one on this forum has really knows each other down to the core i guess we can all pretend to be who we like and i guess without you online some of us thought that it was okay to break the rules a little bit or single each other out?

But i'm glad that a mod (other then Abbey) is back and keeping the forum on track.
So just wondering where were you during those few days when you were offline?

Those posts normally wouldn't be rule-breaking on any other site, but seeing as how most people on here are 8-9 years old we need to be careful. We don't want people to quit and we don't want to be rude. Act as nicely as you would irl, basically.

I'm not sure whether one of my posts are in there, but if it is, then I'm sorry and I'll try not to commit the same mistake again. We'll try to be more careful.

The real issue, is people are acting differently online then they would in real life.

Most of the forum shares a common opinion but there are always going to be people who disagree with the masses. When someone voices their disagreement (usually in a rude way) with the person who has the uncommon opinion, it is praised. I'm not saying I disagree with the people who have been insulting others, but I think it could be handled differently.

I dont think that people are actually rude, but they think it's cool to be rude because of the way the behavior is always praised.

I agree^ my best friend acts all rude online but in real life she is pretty nice.

@patrick: I'm sure it doesn't have to do with their physical age as it does with their mental one. There are mature ten-year-olds on here.
