You know what I hate?

When somebody posts art;
and people are like
OH YOU HAVE THIS FLAW,
AND THIS IS BAD, BUT
SINCE UR A BEGINNER 10/10

Honestly
I don't CARE how newbie they are at art
you can't just point out the flaws & give them a perfect score for it
if it's not perfect.
that's just dumb.

also when people critique unfairly n be like
OH U GOTTA ACCEPT THIS!
CRITIQUE HELP 4 U!

i mean, be fair at the least

&a LOT of you guys are horrible at critiquing

if somebody asks for one, fine
if they don't, fine too.
BUT DONT GO ALL UP AND ACTUALLY
FIX THEIR DRAWING
THAT'S DUMB.

A ton of people are absolutely horrible at critiquing, I need to like write a guide for how to make a proper critique. 'Cause a lot of people fix the drawing when they aren't any better themselves, and I've seen some people even make the drawing worse... >.>

& yeah... i know right

art is a very tedious thing, even the most ugly of things are held with high prestige and value, when in reality it looks stupid and shouldn't be worth a penny no matter who made it.

It's okay being nice but at least give equal treatment to others, if they can't handle a critique they need to, not ask for one, or not post their work. I hate when I see someone post something and people say "KBHJUKFJVBNSDKJ IT'S GREAT" when to tell you the truth.. it's not... or the scenario you mentioned, and than I post something and people critique. Yes I can handle it, but it's not exactly fair.

Many people here don't know anything about anatomy or color theory or any of the theory, (and I admit I don't know it all either, but I don't think my critique is bad? I have experience.) and they then give critiques that are their "opinion". Art theory and correctness isn't an opinion.

Sometimes people make the pictures worse with their critiques...

I actually give advice
but i used to just go like
"OMG DA ARMZ R CROOKED LOLZ"
but thats not a critique
at all.
pointing out whats wrong isnt a critique
but pointing ut what is wrong AND helping the person improve with techniques
is a critique
i make weird dialogues
and explain.
idk if my critiques actually help though

unless the person is like

because
that isnt a critique

but sometimes i do that

i think saying
"omg 5/10"
is mean especially if theyre a starter who dont really know what critiques are
because i didnt even know what a critique was when i joined this forum LOL
