I am horrible at drawing anime girls.

Hey! I'm back... again lol. I haven't posted 'art' in a while, because I was dieing for my printer/scanner, and I got it! I got it in the Christmas, had it set it up today. I am pretty happy, but it took me a good four hours to run it. -_- Anyway here is the picture, it probably doesn't look GREAT, because it is in .JPG file, and this is my first scan.

I made this a few weeks ago. Cx It is bad quality now that I looked at it (it looks better in real life), and kind of big so I put it in spoiler. She is supposed to be 'laying down', but since the legs cut off, it doesn't really seem like it. I you can give me tips for that, PLEASE tell me. Critique as much as possible.

By the way, I know the eyes are kind of... ehfee, work with me. xD I don't know much about anime so, like I said, work with me. C:

Anime is basically like..an extension of realism. To be able to draw anime well, you need to understand the basics of realism. I'm not asking for anyone to draw a huge majorly realistic picture of something, but you gotta know the basics. Like proportions and anatomy. Head to body ratio in anime may be slightly different but the anatomy is mostly the same rules. You also need to know the basic concepts of most art, things like color theory, lighting, perspective, etc.

But anyway, it's pretty good since you're a beginner. Do you want critique? ^w^

Her Fingers are pointy make them bit on the edges round
and eyes are not really nice(tryingnottosayweirdxd)

For a beginner, this is truly amazing! The folds on her clothes are much better than the ones I usually draw. The arms and the hands are a little small for her body size, and the the eyelashes and hair should be shaded in unless you were intending to colour it, though.

Well, I think Abbey pretty much covered everything. Advice for making arms even:

The elbow goes about where the lowest part of your ribs are. It would be maybe right in between your hip bone and the bottom of your rib cage. If you make the lower half of the arm the same length as the top, it will look amazing. Hands, however, take time. They have taken me months to figure out how to draw only two hand poses, which are more feminine ones. I would recommend viewing other art styles to get an overall idea for drawing hands.

Other than that, yeah. I'm not sure what to rate this.
