As for the rest of your post... "A lot of people like it" would be an understatement. The Homestuck fandom is huge. .."they even made dolls"? What exactly are you referring to here? All kinds of dolls? Because honestly, I wouldn't really be surprised. I've heard of weirder stuff made and done by fans.
