| So today is mother's day. My family does not really celebrate it other than giving my mom some flowers. On Thursday I went to the doctors and found out that I have mono. I had to miss the most fun day of the whole entire school year (filed day) because I was sick. Tomorrow is my birthday and I still have mono. Random fun fact: Because I was born in 2000, counting the leap years and all of that stuff... yes, I was born on mothers day  EDIT: Mono is going around my school and just the general area of where I live. | |

| What's mono? some kind of virus? I'm not exactly an expert on diseases.

| Good luck, mono can last up to three months. Luckily, this will probably be the only time in your life that you get it, so you don't need to worry about kissing anyone or sharing drinks! | |

| I had mono for about a month in first grade. It was terrible.

Its just some disease in your spleen or something that you can get from kissing somebody. Sounds disgusting. | |

| Lol u dont just get it from kissing someone!! You can get it by even coming in contact in anway with a person that has it. It is highly contagious and I might have even just touched something that someine with mono had earlier touched. | |

| Not quite true Rockin, it is only transmitted through saliva and close contact. That's why it's nicknamed the 'Kissing Disease' Basically it causes your throat to become sore and swollen, and you lymph nodes swell up and hurt. You also get a headache and a particularly high fever. Those symptoms will go away in a few weeks, but fatigue can stay for up to three months. Basically its not fun.  | |
