I don't think any of you would be that stupid but...

I just want to warn you all about a new challenge called the "Salt and Ice Challenge". This is a challenge where someone takes salt puts it on their arm or another body part and put/press ice over the sat. You do this until your skin gets all red and you feel a burning situation. It's called a challenge because it's normally done in groups.

Well you see it might appear harmless, but what happens is the heat is drawn from your skin and will cause frost bite and a burning sensation and A LOT of pain 9as you could probably tell from some of the you tube videos you can look up .-.) If you do it long enough it blisters and can leave a scar.

I just wanted to give you guys a bit of a warning if curiosity got to you, or if a friend or sibling wanted to do it. It's dangerous DO NOT DO IT!

Ehh, there are some people who do things to impress their friends, or to look cool, or are just uneducated about doing things like that.

Thank you for informing us, Relora, that does sound incredibly painful. This reminds me of the breath-holding dares that were popular a while ago. Ah, natural selection.

Oh god. Why do people do this? It's like the pass out game, if you're depriving your brain of oxygen obviously bad things will happen and you will pass out and it's not a good thing if you pass out FROM NOT BREATHING. As Silmaril said, natural selection at its finest...

I saw someone take the "Cayenne Pepper" challenge. If Midna is right, those people need to learn that the importance of popularity is no match for one's own safety. Some people die in the process of learning that.

I never do any challenges, (challenges like that or the cinnamon challenge or the cayenne pepper challenge)
Mostly because I do not want to spit stuff on random furniture and have to clean it or get lectured from my parents and get slapped silly for being an idiot.
And because I don't want to hurt myself. I actually saw someone do the salt - and - ice challenge and she was like. "Ow! that hurts." then tried smiling.
But it kept burning so the ice started melting and slid down her arm. Her eyes were watering, I felt really bad for her because her viewers ''challenged'' her to do it.
Poor people who actually did the challenge.

Eat a Random Plant? I think it will be next, but of course some plants are posinous and you wouldn't even know. The only thing I'm sure is not posinous (exept lettucce and that stuff) is grass. But I'm sure they wouldn't do grass.

I am sorry if I am offending anyone, but these challenges are stupid. What's the point? How are you "tough" by burning your skin? I don't do any challenges, and I don't take dares seriously either. I only do my own personal challenge, which is to drink a whole AVERAGE bottle (16.9 fluid ounces) of water without stopping. This is pretty much harmless.

Anyway, thanks for warning me. When I read the dare I thought "That's harmless, but ice and salt have a kind of relationship..".

Haha, I'm too scared to do any challenge. It took me a month to convince myself to do the cinnamon challenge. Although, that's pretty much harmless unless you are to swallow it. Then you could choke on it or something, although I knew I wouldn't be swallowing it.
Anyways, I never heard of this challenge. Even if I did before hand, I wouldn't bother doing it. It seems extremely painful & stupid.

I put a whole 2 tablespoons of cinnamon on my oatmeal and I enjoyed it. I also sometimes put peanut butter in oatmeal... yeah, I'm weird.

At my school, the teachers gave us a lecture about these dumb challenges. It was funny because instead of talking, they did a demonstration. My teacher randomly picked another teacher, grabbed her, and stuck her head in water for ten-seconds while telling us about her "life".
Anyway, I think only a total idiot would hurt themselves just to get some random people's approval. To me, the person who backs away from the challenge even though they will be insulted is the toughest one.

Ten seconds won't kill you, as long as the other teacher was willing. More than a minute or two and that's pushing it. 5 minutes and your teacher is a goner.

You think that's dangerous? Going outside is just plain dangerous. The airplane flying above could crash and fall on you. You could catch a deadly disease with al those germs outside. The tree next to you can suddenly fall. You can cross the road and get into a car accident. Or a bird could attack you.

Actually, bubble-wrapping yourself in a completely sanitary enviroment is actually worse for you. You need contact with germs to have a healthy immune system. If your body isn't exposed to germs, your immune system is crap and you'll be more likely to get sick and not be able to fight it off. Also, the chances of all of those things happening are extremely slim.
