Drawing with SAI

Okay, I actually tried to draw this time. But I forgot to outline it in black(because I just colored over the sketch).... So I did my first, FULL-ON drawing with SAI, which I downloaded yesterday, and NO I didn't use a tablet, I just used my mouse.. I know it sucks, and it looks really ugly and UN-professional but I tried, okay.. and If trying is too hard to ask for then don't judge. Anyways, I would like some critiquing, and digital shading tips. Also, can someone just send me a tutorial on how-to use SAI, make a proper sketch, inkings, shading, and coloring? Thanks.. ALSO I'm getting a tablet this Christmas, so i'm excited (:

Its really pretty, but if you want to get better results, don't use that tool to colour in.

It's good! Trust me you'll get better at digital if you're already good at traditional. Just need practice.

And honestly I can't draw crap with a mouse.

Wait, what tool should I color with? I used airbrush for this.. Also.. I feel sad, this kinda sucks, besides the eyes.

Its actual;ly really nice.

Watch a tutorial, those will help a ton.

I use the brush tool sometimes and lassos.

Never ever use the airbrush tool to colour. The only thing I used it for is highlights. There's a ton of SAI tutorials on Deviantart. This is good for your second, I'd give it a 6.3/10.

I dont think u should use airbrush tool to recolor. It makes a mess. Your drawing is pretty,but your person has no eyebrows. and her left arm looks like it has no joint. Don't feel bad though i do that, too with my drawings.

basically what Len means is u can download brushes off the internet with specific textures, if u have something in mind that u can't do with the default textures. it all depends on what and how u like to draw.

and i love this drawing its very nice! maybe u could try doing backgrounds??

This looks really nice,though what bothers me is the shoes...It looks fat and makes it look bigger than the other features.This is really cute besides that one flaw I give it a 8/10.

Yeah well, I have no CLUE on how to use SAI so.. Imma hope for the best actually. Also, i'm getting a tablet for Christmas (yay) and yes, I agree I should've made the feet longer, and skinner.

I don't like how, the coloring went off and the shoes. Yet this was really good! 7/10
