Where does everyone get their drawing skills?

Okay! So, since everyone is soo good at artwork here, I want to know where everyone got their skills. I practice everyday and draw traditionally but it seems as if I don't get better. Can someone tell me where they learned?

Practice sweetheart, it takes years.
You can't just practices for everyday for a week and expect it to be better immediately.
Try new styles and stuff?

This would go into art discussion, since you're discussing art, for future reference. Also, it takes many, many years of practice. I know you've probably heard that multiple times before, but it's true. There tons of things to study in art-- color [schemes], shading, style, anatomy, concepts, positioning, composition, connection, etc. You don't have to be great at all of them to be a good artist, though. Trust me, it's hard, just keep working. It doesn't happen overnight.

The main thing you can do is practice, even if it's a scribble. Drawing the same thing for a number of times can help you. Don't give up if one piece of your work is bad, keep trying!

Other things you can try are observing things you wish to draw (or use a reference). For example, if you have trouble drawing hands on people, you can base it on your own hand and draw from that. Pictures from the Internet also help. You should also find an artist you admire and study their style. What makes you like it so much? Once you find what it is, use it with your own imagination to improve your style.

Things like anatomy, shading, perception and other areas which make drawings seem real, may seem hard to understand and work with. When you look at anything, just look for the skill you want to learn. Study objects to learn how to compose them into a drawing.

Also remember that when your work is being criticized, take in what the critique says and improve your work for next time. Just try not to be too depressed if all your work is being criticized.

Like everyone else said, practice. Also, maybe your art has got better but you have not noticed it. Maybe re draw an old drawing you did and see how much you improved.
