So it happened at recess today a school.

So, me and and my friend start playing this game then my enemy (was my friend) came up to us, and started hitting us with her lunchbox at me and my friend for no reason. So i say "Uhh why are you hitting us?" and she said "YALL no what yall did!" And im like -_-. So then she started to insult my friend, and of course i'm gonna back her up cause she's my friend. And then the girl start saying "(censor) No!" Then me and my friend walked away because we're not gonna deal with her. But, she wanted to follow us and still hit us with her lunchbox. As she comes to say "Why your backing away huh huh huh?" I say "Ok you need to calm your raggedy (a word) down and go somewhere with that. IF YOU WANNA FIGHT, FIGHT LIKE A REAL WOMAN, AND STOP USING THAT LUNCHBOX!" So of course she wanna swing on me so I swing on her back because I GOT TO STAND UP FOR MYSELF. Then we got into a little cat-fight. And someone broke it up, but I went back to punch her again, but my other friend said "(Not saying name) Calm down!" But I wouldn't because SHE swung on ME. And will would she get away with ? No! No! No! Anyways, I yelled back to her "Hit me! I dare you to! Its not gonna affect me now is it?" Then she walked away with her stank attitude, and I whispered " I win"

Now honestly, do i overreact? And I really don't wanna hear responses saying "You should have gone told a teacher blah blah blaah" or "You had no reason to fight her doo doo blah stuff"

I did the same thing with the fake poop scandal. Everrybody said i overreacted so YES U OVEREACTEE NA NA NA BOO BOO

I don't see that as an overreaction. You were swayed largely by emotion, yes. But your reaction seemed normal to me o-o

Thanks for your opinion..
But, for some reason i felt like i overreacted but didn't at the same time. I'm still ticked off because she messed with my friend, but i'll need to get over it soon.

I'd say you did overreact. If this girl was hitting you, you're being a bit of a hypocrite by hitting back. Don't try to stop someone from being cruel by being cruel yourself. It gets nothing accomplished in the long run.

That's a pretty common teenager reaction, but then again - many teenagers for the most part overreact. So yes, I would say you did.
Though considering the fact that she wouldn't tell you what you seem to have done. She sounds really immature. .

I'm sorry, but what? If someone's hitting you, why wouldn't you defend yourself by fighting back? I understand you've probably been taught differently, but from what I've been told I'm supposed to defend myself in whatever way possible IF the person hits me first.
However, nothing does get accomplished in the long run, that much I can completley agree on.
