About 10 years back, terrorists hit the world trade centre in New York.
They used planes and the first plane hit at about 8:46 a.m. There was terror, destruction and a lot of life loss. Over 2,479 people died and lots gave up their lives just for others. The world trade centres have more than a hundred floors. When the plane hit, those people who worked at the top were left to die because the stairs were blocked and you can't use lifts. Sirens were screaming throughout the period. The pentagon too was a target.
The trade centres are
steel structures. It's very difficult to get them down. It was even considered impossible until this.
The immense heat of it all destroyed the structure, melting the steel. The whole building, crashed down and this site in U.S. called ground zero, is there with all the reminders of one of the biggest tragedies in american history.
