Heather's guide for 6th grade

Are you just entering Middle School? Then I'm here to help!

Getting up early
You need to get up earlier to catch the bus. It is a good idea to set your alarm clock to 6:42am.

Stories Of Middle Schools
Have you ever read Middle School stories which makes you worry about going to 6th grade? For example, they shove 6th graders in lockers. Not. Gonna. Happen. The lockers may not be big enough for a body to fit in there.

Switching Classes
For each subject, you switch classes. You remember in 5th grade, your teachers help you get prepared for it by making you swich classes for a couple subjects.

"The Hallway Is Too Crowded!"
Sometimes, the Middle School hallways get really crowded when switching classes. Here is what you can do: Go up against the wall, wait for a clear path, then go to your locker.

Locker Combinations
You have a locker combination for your locker. Everyone has one

Help! I forgot my locker combination!
There is no need to freak out! People will be around to help you!

Periods
"Periods" is just another way to say "subjects". There are nine periods each school day. You need to go to your locker BEFORE and AFTER each period.

Dismissal
The dismissal time will be 2:30pm.

For me there's only 6 periods. Do you count breaks as periods? e_e
Dismissal is different for everyone. I don't get out until 2:57
If you go to the office, at my school, they'll get your locker combo. Or you just bust in.
My school techinically doesn't have hallways. Because there's no walls. It looks like this:

number one,my middle schools is outdoor campous
number two,we dont have locker
and number C,we are forced to keep everything in out back packs

@Ani Yep. I live on the east coast.

for me there are 10 periods. I have to get up at 6:15 a.m. and I come back at 3:30 p.m.
And our school is seriously very different from yours.

im already in seventh grade..

Well actually, schools all have different times and rules so we can't all follow it.. Especially me, we don't even HAVE middle school where I am, we have 'secondary school' (Which I am starting this year)

Second, if I were in USA, I'd probably be going into 7th grade C:

This is great!!! But where I live we have 6 periods and 2- 3 electives( as in music? art? and other stuff) Plus school doesn't start until 8:00 am over so ( so if you get to school at 7 or 7:30 then you just sit down or eat breakfast or talk to your friends). P.E. over here is REQUIRED but if you sign a waiver( a form where you don't wanna take P.E. you have to have your parents sign it.) Plus we get out of school at 3:50 pm.
