I might go to Band camp O: 6/12/12

Hey everyone :3


Okay so I tried out for drum major and didn't make it but I did really well for a freshman. Now if I had made Drum Major I would've had to go to the Troy Leadership (Drum Major) Camp. Seeing as I didn't have an obligation to go I didn't bug my dad about it... but as the weeks went by everyone else who tried out for Drum Major and didn't make it was going (there were 4 of trying out so not many xD). I was worried that this would put me in a major disadvantage next year because both drum major spots will be open next year and I really Really REALLY wanna be drum major. But I never said a word about the camp to my dad I was afraid he'd say no or say it be a waste of money if I wasn't going to be drum major.

Okay so last night my dad came in my room and asked how much the camp is. I said I heard it was 400 bucks (I checked the site to day it's 260 or so not counting gas for driving there). He siad that If I got all the info there's a chance I might get to go. He said that if the price was half what I said I had a giant chance to go and I now know it's 100 dollars less give or take. So now I'm like really excited. I hope I get to go and as excited as I am I still am keeping a bunch of doubt into it so I don't feel bad if I don't make it :3

But I'm a little hesitant... I've never been to a summer camp and I've never been to troy university I know a few friends of mine will be there but if I show up they won't know I'm there unless they see me so I'm pretty much on my own for a little bit. Does anyone know wht I should do xD

I'm a little shy so I'm not the best person in social situations I judge myself to hard and rarely talk to people I don't know well unless I warm up to them.

Hopefully you can go i have never camped in my life its always been a caravan if you do go i hope you best of luck with the weather and i hope you have lots and lots of fum x3

Tenor Saxophone, and that's it. I've never actually played the other saxes so I don't consider them as something I play :P

I do wish I could play oboe, bassoon or piano though... heck I wouldn't mind taking up the flute either xD
But I'm happy with just one instrument :3


Thanks for the support guys... I gave my dad all the info he needs... but he hasn't said a thing about it... I don't even know if he actually read any of it... my chances are dwindling >.<
