Andrew picks up the spear and follows Sofia back to the tunnel. He places it where he could reach it in case of an emergency. "Good night, Sofia." He said.

"I can't believe I've lasted almost a week out in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of ghosts and a teenage girl as my only companions." Andrew thought. "I hate having to kill my own food and make my own weapons, but we seem to be doing okay."

Sofia woke up to the sound of birds chirping. The sun was shining down he hole she came in and out through. She came out of the hole and looked out. "Are you hungry?"

"Not particularly." Andrew said. "Let's save the food for later, since we don't know if we'll find much." He grabbed his spear. "I'm going to go hunting while it's still early. You coming?"

"Here, take this." He said, handing her a knife. "Don't try to take down anything bigger than you are, or anything with teeth longer than your finger. Okay?"

"Got it." Sofia said. She walked into a montainous area with tall grass, where she spotted an animal.. it looked like a zebra with red-ish brown fur and black stripes.

Andrew stepped back, trying not to be noticed by the animal. "It's probably going to be fast. I can try to throw the spear, or you could sneak up and stab it. Neither plan is likely to work, but I guess it's your choice."

"Whack it on the head with the spear's stick and then we cut it so it dies unconsicious and it doesn't try to run away." Sofia said.

"That..." Andrew said through his teeth. "Is the dumbest idea I've ever heard. We're not that fast. We'll startle it." He turned around. "Let's try another area." He said.

"Lead the way? It's not like I'm going anywhere in particular." Andrew said, rolling his eyes. "And please try to keep it down. We'll scare everything off."

"Listen. In this situation we're in, stupidity is deadly. If you make too much noise, all the herbivores run off and hide and all the carnivores come looking for you." Andrew whispered. "If you're going to put us in danger, why don't you head back while you still can."

"Sure. I'll just leave." Sofia whispered and walked away to find the tunnel.

"Shoot. I was hoping she'd just change her mind and co operate." Andrew thought, throwing his spear at a deer a few yards away. He missed and sent the spear into a tree, startling the animal and sending it running. "Crap." He thought, retrieving the spear and continuing through the forest.

Sofia sat under a tree, and it started raining. "Seriously?" She thought, and stomped angrily towards the tunnel and hid in there.

"Why rain now?" Andrew groaned. The only thing he'd managed to catch was a squirrel of some sort that appeared to be sick, so he buried it instead of risking eating it. He headed back toward the cave. "Why did I even decide to go out here?" He thought.

Sofia sighed. Okay, I seriously need to build a shelter. I can't take having to come in this stupid tunnel every time it rains or it isn't safe outside.
