Apps: Subterranean RP [Remade]

The world Arthea is old and dying and life above ground is no longer possible. A few thousand years ago all of the creatures that could, fled to live underground with the dwarves, dark elves, and other creatures of darkness, earth, and the subterranean. You are either one of these ancient underground dwelling races or a creature who is now trying to find light in the darkness of this new, flourishing world. How will you live your life? Who will you meet? What will you discover?

You may roleplay as any creature you can think of. The races I've named would normally play a large roll in a book with this story. These may also races being used by other RPers! If you want me to add your race to this list please pm with whatever info I might need<3

Dwarves the oldest of the subterranean races. Dwarven people are usually short and stout with prominent muscles, cheekbones and noses. They are experts at metalworking, smelting, weapon making, metallurgy, gem cutting, and building. In the subterranean world their word is law and they rule over all who live in their caverns.

Dark Elves Also called Drow, Dunmer, or black elves, are a corrupted race of elves known for their stealth and trickery. They typically have greyish skin, silvery, whitish, or greyish hair, and eyes that are typically blue indigo purple black or white. They are experts and finesse and acrobatics, stealth, trickery magic, poisons, and simple dark magic. They also make fine dancers and actors.

Elementals Spirits of the five elements: Earth, fire, water, air, and rarely aether. These creatures usually dwell far from society and have existed underground for almost as long as the dwarves. Each elemental has it's own characteristics: Earth spirits are always solid and change appeared through use of sand, luminescent minerals and even gem stones. Air spirits are wispy and float above the ground. They use smoke or dust to be seen. Fire spirits are hot and burn things that touch it. They usually use charcoal for clothes or a solid body. Water elementals are slightly transparent and are normal very beautiful and peaceful, legends says they can heal the worst of ailments and wounds. Aether spirits are rare and hard to find. Those who have seen them describe them as pure light energy, others say they look like they were cut right of the sky and are black with shimmering stars constantly appearing and reappearing. Elementals are all powerful magic users for their element and are quite fragile physically and emotionally.


Humans One of the races that fled to the underground caverns of the dwarves. Individuals are highly unique and as a whole the race doesn't have much to boast. Humans are experts at exploring and problem solving and do well in herbology. Some unique individuals can use divine (healing & light) or combat (spells with a specific purpose not recognized by another magic branch. Think harry potter) magic

Other elves High elves and wood elves are both races that have fled to the underground caverns of the dwarves and their corrupted sister race the dark elves. High elves are experts at divine magic and elemental magic. Wood elves are experts at archery, close combat, and acrobatics. High elves are typically tall while wood elves are typically a but shorter than the average human. Both of these elf species boast high musical ability, great hunting skills, and an amazing connection with nature.

Other races:

Demons: True creatures of Hell, demons are a proud race deemed by other races as being malevolent and evil. Each demon has a unique talent that may be taught or granted to a human and possibly other races of Arthea. They can be summoned through rituals such as sacrifices and drawing the sigil of the demon. Each demon is also highly unique has fairly great magical power. Be warned, lore has it that demons are not to be trusted.

in this world there are four branches of natural magic and one branch of unnatural magic.

Elemental Magic Spells dealing with magic of nature and he five elements.
Dark Magic Spells dealing with trickery, dark, or stealth magic.
Divine magic Spells dealing with healing, shielding, or light magic.
Third Eye Magic Spells dealing with magic that involves the mind in any way. (Telekinesis, Psychic abilities, Medium abilities, etc.)
Combat Magic spells that don't fit in any other branch of magic. These are usually spells best produced by other instruments (wands, maces, staves etc.) and the user's sheer will.[/b]

2- Keep everything pg13 at the most. All cussing should be bleeped out or replaced with a more child friendly term.
3- You may have as many characters as you want (warning: too many characters may be overwhelming suggested 3 as maximum).
4- Anything I post in blue is RP-related and should be heeded. Blue posts may indicate important events, natural disasters, updates to the RP rules/apps/rp itself, or be character specific.
5- Say "Woot Dwarves" at the bottom or top of your application to be accepted.
6- Finish your app completely to be accepted (any field left with "later" must be finished before being accepted.

Name~ Bitxi
Gender & Age~ Female, 10,981
Race~ Earth elemental
Background~ Bitxi is an ancient earth elemntal who, until now, has been in a hibernation state since she was 1000 years old. She was surprised to haave been awoken by a bunch of young humans, creatures she had never met before due to her life living in a small crevice filled to the brim with precious metals and gems. After that she rude awakening, she took the form of the tall skinny dwarven creatures and quickly learned their language over the course of a few weeks ad they wished to learn more about where to find gems. Bixti helped of course, always haven been nice to the dwarves and what was once the newly settled in dark elves. She now roams the caverns helping lost travelers and spreading the history of the olden days. She's generally helpful and very hard to excite or anger.
Picture/Description~ Bixti is an earth elemental taking the general form of a human female. Her hair is made of a light brown sand and her hair is made of molded amber to resemble a simple, sloppy ponytail. She wears molded phosphorescent minerals over her body much like a tight pair of trousers and a long sleeved shirt that billows out around her wrists. She adorns her hair, cheeks, eye lids, and feet with small gems and powdered precious metals. Her eyes are two sapphires and her lips are shaped by pinkish rubies.

Special skills/abilities~ earth magic, ability to adjust body into mimicking the looks of other races.
Other important info~ She is fairly confused with the presence of the humans, but does not bother with asking why they exist.

Name~ Nerezza
Gender & Age~ Female, 58
Race~ Dark elf
Background~ While a mere child by dark elf standards, Nerezza is a highly accomplished dancer and acrobat. Her balance, control, and flexibility are unmatched by anyone else of her own race. While generally short-tempered, vain, and arrogant, Nerreza has a soft spot for artists and adventurers. She finds these people to have a certain "spark that she's attracted to and it intrigues her. She is a very dependable and loyal person and while frosty when you first meet her she's willing to help those in need. She often travels with the "Darkness Awakens" Caravan. A all dark elf circus the travels the dwarven caverns offering cheap and pleasurable entertainment.
Picture/Description~ A "beautiful curse", Nerezza long snow white hair that reaches her angles and is normally bundled up in a long pony tail where she ties it with dark blue ribbons in several spots. She has dark gray skin and vivid violet eyes. Her lips are a grey pink and her eyes brows are slightly thick and slightly arced. She speaks with a thick accent that is a mix between the singsong accent of an elf and the guttural accent of a dwarf giving a eerie yet lovely effect.

Special skills/abilities~ Acrobatics & flexibility, stealth, she also has a knack for basic dark magic.
Other important info~ She plays a leading role in the darkness awakens Circus and for half of the year travels with the for performances. She usually sticks to the dark elves' home cavern during her off season, but she may be found at central cavern's marketplace.

I feel really weird for not using an anime for the FC but oh well. ;~; I just sort of felt like the Thin White Duke would fit pretty well with this character...;u;
