The Walls ((RP))

You can start off by waking up and wondering about the strange earthquake last night (which was the walls dropping, of course.)

Lilia woke with a start. She was in a cold sweat, and her torch had been burnt to smithereens. Looking around, she finally realized she had fallen asleep in a cave, looking for coal. She grabbed her unfortunately empty cotton candy bag, made from the leaves and branches of the cotton candy tree. Hungrily she pulled a small bit off and ate it. She wiped sweat off her forehead and put the torch and her pick in the bag, and climbed up the mountain of bright purple rock until she reached the cave entrance. She ran outside, happy to feel the cool wind on her face and escape the exasperating heat.

Rhode woke up coughing, her pale skin crawling with goosebumps, her plump lips purple. There was a small wave of water around her body, and she sat on her knees. " What happened?" She groaned, scratching her head as she yawned loudly. All she remembered was the earth rumbling below her feet, and the calm waves in the ocean forming large, lethal tsunamis as she darted for the cave. Then, it all went black. " No use in mopping around here all day." She mumbled to herself, standing up and stretching her sore muscles. Sighing, she cautiously pushed her ear against the cave, making sure the tsunamis were gone. She didn't hear any waves crashing, so she slowly exited the cave and sighed as the hot, pink sand warmed up her feet. She closed her eyes for a moment, before opening them again. When she did, she gasped at what she saw. The large walls..They..They had collapsed.

Vespera sat by a blinding light. It was a purple-blue white and everyone moment or so a rainbow came and went. She stared at her hands and then her feet. After debating on what she should do she stood up, ceremoniously bowed to the light, and walked on into the surrounding forest. The sky was an inky black making it near impossible for her to figure out where she was and this upset her. She didn't like the insecurity of not knowing where she was.

" What the..?" Rhode was quite confused. This wall had been there since..Well..Since she'd first came. She wasn't sure what she would do. She had mixed feelings; She could simply explore what's behind it, but what would happen? She wasn't used to the environment there. She thought the most logical way was to wait for what was behind there to reveal themselves - Or itself - to her, first.

The first thing Lilia noticed when she got outside was that the strange walls were missing. She grabbed her bow and arrow, and ran over to where the pale, sandy walls used to be. Now, all she could see were four other worlds; two foresty, one that was completely dark and surrounded by beautiful stars, and another that was an ocean shore with sand that was pink. The worlds were seperated by a large void where the walls used to be, too big and too wide to jump over. This isn't happening... Lilia thought, shaking her head in bewilderment. Should she explore? She grabbed some hair from a rapunzel hog and tied it to her arrow. Shooting it onto a large palm tree, she tied the other end to a cotton candy tree and used the hair as monkey bars and shimmied over.

Rhode was quick to spot the movement. She heard a Whiz, and it shot into a palm tree. She seen someone swinging over. At first she screamed. But then, she realized this person could be a threat. So, without thinking, she grabbed a large stone and threw it at the person.

As Vespera made her way out of the denser part of the forest she began to notice something... amiss? She quickened her pace and practically threw herself out of the forest. What she saw made her gasp. The dark walls that had contained her for so long were no longer there. They were simply gone, missing, absent. And over on the horizon, from what she could see, was a brilliant light, none like she had ever seen before. She fell to her knees with shock, her mouth hung open as thoughts began to race through her mind.

Lilia was hit in the stomach and fell into the water. She swam over to where Rhode was and fell onto the pink sand, gasping for air. "H-h-hi, I'm-Liliet."

" Who are you?! Where did you come from?! Why are you here?!" Rhode battered Lillet with questions, as she placed her right foot on Lillet's head, pushing her face into the sand. " What do you want from me? If you think you can claim this territory, missy, you've got it all wrong!"

"Wait, what? I said I'm Liliet." Liliet said, grabbing her bow and arrow and aiming it at Rhode's heart. "I should be asking you the same thing."

Rhode raised her eyebrow. " No, you shouldn't. This is MY territory! I've lived here since, well, FOREVER! SO WHY ARE YOU HERE?!" Rhode was screaming now, and she pushed the arrow away from her heart.

After sitting doing nothing for what seemed like forever Vespera began to run. She had never wanted to run so much in her life and as she ran she passed by the glowing insects and creatures of the darkness. They appeared as blur to her as she rushed into... into... into... She "hit" the solid line of light and cringed and fell back. She was used to light, bright lights and dim ones... but this? She felt like she was blind and thus she fell back into her world... the world she knew and cried as she frantically rubbed her eyes.

"So have I!" Liliet said, pointing to her part of the world. "Wanna come see it? A real doozy, I tell you." She got up and lowered her bow.

" This is MY part of this world. Therefore, it is MY territory!" Rhode crossed her arms, her eyebrows still raised in furry. " I don't know. There must be a catch. Why would you so cooly invite me to your territory?"

The catch is you have to shimmy across the string." Lilia said coolly, pointing to the string. "Come on, it's a madhouse there. Or we can explore everywhere else."

" I'd prefer to stay in my comfort zone," Rhode replied, plopping down into the pink sand as she kicked her old, brown sandals off. "Besides, It's a madhouse here when the winds are strong. I'd prefer to stay here so I'm ready ahead of time." Rhode swirled her finger around in the pink sand. " Hey, wanna see something cool?"

"Okay..." Lilia said uncertainly. She got her bow and arrow ready for action and watched Rhode swirl her finger in the sand. It was a bright pink, as if it was sunburned from sitting around in the blistering heat and the blinding rays of midday. Why is my world so...different from the others? Lilia thought. She wondered a little bit more and slapped the mosquitoes biting vigerously at her arms and legs. I'll have to study these places and people. Show them what I've learned, help them figure out what's going on. Why we're here. Why we've been seperated. Lilia's mind was full of questions and thoughts. Scolding herself for forgetting to bring her notebook, she struggled to remember what she had been thinking and studied her surroundings.

Rhode used her hand, and picked up a handful of pink sand. Underneath, there was blue. " There are layers of different colours. Ain't it cool? They just continue; Tons of different shades, colours, and more. It's amazing!" Rhode said, allowing the slight breeze to whisk the pink sand in her hand away.

((What's going on? I didn't realize this had started and I'm lost.))

{ @Jeff Our characters just discovered the walls are down. Me and Cherry's character have met up in my character's "territory" and are talking. I'm not too sure about Relora's. }

((I'm pretty sure the walls came down so Rhode and Lilia are meeting each other. My character is trying to find a way to adjust to bright sunlight.))

Vespera pushed her hand through into the light. It was warm and comforting much unlike the light she was used to. After a moment's pause she stood back up and wiped the remainder of her salty tears away. She put her hands over her eyes and made sure that no light could get in and stepped back into the light. Opening her eyes in her cupped hands everything looked kinda red, but at least her eyes weren't burning. She then carefully used her feet and ears to guide her. The ground was grainy, kinda like dirt but not? How peculiar she thought.

"Wow!" Lilia said excitedly. "That's so...wait. Who's that?" she turned around and saw Vespera blindly walking straight into the ocean. She seemed to have never seen light before, and must've came from the dark area. "Hi, are you from over there? Takes time to get used to the vile sunlight." Lilia said, smiling.

" Not for me," Rhode said impatiently. " Since this is my area and technically I should be welcoming newbies." Rhode smiled at Vespera. " You from a dark area or something?"

Vespera turned in the direction of the voice. From what she could judge, there was no immediate threat, after quickly analyzing the situation she replied with a simple nod of the head and bgean to make her way slowly over to the people who were talking.

" Woah, you alright?" Rhode asked. " Want me to take you under the palm trees? it's shady there!"
