PIXELS AND STORIES BABE:

OK. People spend one billion, six hunded million hours doing these small wittle pixels and they post it up, just for the two followings:

Rate, and Leave.

Now, before you bring in your pitchforks and go all Chuck Norris on me, and you it's fer fun, is it really fun making a toic with some regular creation and getting R and L? I suggest one whole topic for all creations so it doesn't seem like your getting a pointless rate for nothing.

STORIESBABE:

IT'S ALWAYS THE BEST PART: MAKING 20 OF THESE HOUR-WASTES AND NEVER FINISHING THEM! RIGHT?

Now, before you get your pitchforks and go all Chuck Norris on me, everybody promises100x they'll finish they'll finish they're 17th story, and they don't finish that one, and the 19th, 20th, etc.. So who will you believe?

I just have one story. And I add a new chapter ocassionaly. By the way, I just finished chapter 5. also, writing practice, I need it.

Also, I usually ask for critisizm/compliments along with a rating.

EDIT: If I make a rant about all the rants, will it be irony or just hypocritical?

I wouldn't do that. We rant for reasons, not to annoy and ruin the fun.

Yeah, but most of them end up into giant fights and dampen the positivity in this forum a little.

Well Sharp, I will probably never finish my story. But face it, real authors do this too.

How would that help? And besides, I think the reason for that is because at first you think it will be easy, but then you see it's hard and you're lazy.

Lol dude on the first rant, they are improving, a'duh? You don't even rate peoples pixels, why do you care. Your saying you dont want anyone to improve. How lovely.

Don't post a rant if you don't know how to persuade people to see your point of view. This is actually really stupid. If people want to show the work they "wasted" hours on then they can. You have no place in saying its a waste, etc. Oh and you think spending more then 2 seconds on art is bad? Hun' artists spend anywhere from 30 hours to 200+ hours on paintings. And one, they post their pictures so people can see them, they put the Rate and Leave at the bottom for an optional thing people can include. Stories- stories are hard, I get about 6 chapters into mine and have writers block, thats way better then most people. And your stories, about 7-8 chapters of your stories are = to my one chapter in length. And a comparison to the average person's chapter, about 4 of your chapters= one of theirs. Most of the time we start stories without even thinking them out, and get as far as we can. I for one don't finish my stories because of school work, and computer errors. Like I had about two chapters written on my latest story, I went down to eat lunch, came back and my computer had shut itself off. So there i got discouraged and didn't even attempt to write in it again. Think before you post sharp, and think for a week or so before you even attempt to rant. And people, rants are posts about certain topics that are 4+ paragraphs long. Not a short little 2 sentences.

Jw, how long did you take on your little rant? Btw, 50 chapter stories with 3 sentences a chaper arent stories.. Your lucky im on my ipod or youd have a whole lecture about the stupidity of this..

I sorrta agree with Skai... I mostly see chur stories as just a few sentences with pictures....
But these Rants bug me now. T.T

Pixels, Recolors etc- Other pixellers spend hours on their pixels, can we not do the same? And some people need the advice given to them or someone might want a recolor/edit and ask for one because they don't feel like making one or they can't recolor/edit.

Stories- It is true that most people don't finish their stories but that's either because:
1) They run out of ideas because they didn't think their story through
2) They get bored of the idea and leave it

I would agree that your story is a few sentences and pictures but they do have a lot of chapters, I saw one story that had over 20 chapters I think..

Also, you can actually ignore the topics made about art and stories. If you did a edit/story wouldn't you want to show them to people?
