The difference between anime and manga?

My sister dosnt get it.
I sorta get it, but dont know how to explain.

manga is a graphic novel involving anime-style characters (big, glossy eyes and triangular mouths) and anime would be a japenese-style TV series/movie. that's why it's so similar to the word animation.

I can give you a good explenation on what they differ on.
Manga means 'comic book' in english, and manga is only in comic books.
Anime means 'cartoon' ot 'show' and only appears on television/ movie screens.
Hmph, anime is a comic turned into a show. And manga is just a plain comic book.
In other words,
Anime- Cartoon or Animation
Manga- Comics
They are both the same style, with a bit of changes.
Also, anime is only created in Japan, as far as im conserned and the only look difference is that their eyes are bigger.
And manga, again, is a comic, that if which it becomes very popular, its turned into a television show, anime style.
They are both the best styles of art, ever!

Okay then... the difference is that manga is more realistic in some terms and anime is just cuter and flexible...I guess. Manga is harder to draw unless you master, and I mean MASTER chibi, and anime, and figure sticks. So...yeah.
