Horror Story Contest

Hi guys! Maybe there already was a horror story contest but I'm doing another one. Post it here. Anyone can submit a story you don't have to ask. Beware . . .

The Rules

- You have to read the rest of the rules. We can tell if you haven't. If your story breaks a rule, any nominations for your story will be ignored.
- You MUST GIVE YOUR STORY A TITLE
- It must be appropriate for anyone on this forum to read. Any stories containing overly horrific content will not win.
- No pictures! The only exception is if the story takes place in a mountain and you post a picture of the mountain or something like that. But no scary pictures. You never know who will get scared by them.
- Collaborations are allowed. But if you submit a collaborated story, it counts as the submitted story for both contributors.
- Each person can only submit ONE story.
- Unlike my other horror topic, you CANNOT copy and paste a story from another website. It has to be your own. You can take a basic story and tweak it to your liking, but you cannot copy anything word-for-word.
Follow the rules and it will be fun, and scary . . .

After the contests ends, I wil make another topic. On that topic, you will nominate a story. You cannot nominate your own story. I will make a poll for the final 3 nominations.

Sounds fun! I am not going to join, but just for those who are, where would you send your story?

Do you know anything that is considered horrifying content? Scary stories pretty much all have some kind of death in itif that is horrifying.

I meant things that would make kids stay awake at night. Scary things are good. Things that will give little kids permanent nightmares aren't good LOL. Just keep it reasonably scary.

Can I join? But. Can I make my own? D: its k if it isnt. iIm still joining either way xD

I'm not sure about something. . . I read the rules and stuff, but where do I post my story? Here? I just want to make sure!

So-and-so's friend, a girl in her teens, is babysitting for a
family in Newport Beach, Ca. The family is wealthy and has a very large
house — you know the sort, with a ridiculous amount of rooms. Anyways,
the parents are going out for a late dinner/movie. The father tells the
babysitter that once the children are in bed she should go into this
specific room (he doesn't really want her wandering around the house)
and watch TV there.


The parents take off and soon she gets the kids into bed and goes
to the room to watch TV. She tries watching TV, but she is disturbed by a
clown statue in the corner of the room. She tries to ignore it for as
long as possible, but it starts freaking her out so much that she can't
handle it.


She resorts to calling the father and asks, "Hey, the kids are in
bed, but is it okay if I switch rooms? This clown statue is really
creeping me out."


The father says seriously, "Get the kids, go next door and call 911."


She asks, "What's going on?"


He responds, "Just go next door and once you call the police, call me back."


She gets the kids, goes next door, and calls the police. When the
police are on the way, she calls the father back and asks, "So, really,
what's going on?"


He responds, "We don't HAVE a clown statue." He then further
explains that the children have been complaining about a clown watching
them as they sleep. He and his wife had just blown it off, assuming that
they were having nightmares.


The police arrive and apprehend the "clown," who turns out to be a
midget. A midget clown! I guess he was some homeless person dressed as a
clown, who somehow got into the house and had been living there for
several weeks. He would come into the kids' rooms at nights and watch
them while they slept. As the house was so large, he was able to avoid
detection, surviving off their food, etc. He had been in the TV room
right before the babysitter right came in there. When she entered he
didn't have enough time to hide, so he just froze in place and pretended
to be a statue.

You can only enter one. But that one was copied and pasted, I can tell. I saw it on Urban Legends. But you can post another one because that one will not win because it was copied and pasted. So if you are interested in winning, please post another! Thanks.

Are collaborations allowed in this contest? If yes, would someone like to create a story and enter with me? I just wanna do this for fun.

Yes. Collaborations are allowed. But if you are submiting a collaborated story, you can't post an individual one. A collaborated story counts as your story. Just to make that clear.

What do you mean by that? Two people can collaborate but only one will take credit? I am confused, sorry. :X

It means that if you submit a collaborated story, that it counts as the story for both people. Say you and Bob (first name that popped into my head) submit a collaborated story. You can't submit an individual one, and Bob can't submit an individual one. A collaborated story counts as the submitted story for BOTH people that contributed to it.

Your welcome. Both people get the credit, and it counts as both people's submitted story. Two people can't create a collaborated story then each submit an individual one. And yes, both people get credit.

The girl and her gran
Once there was a child staying at her grans.When she went to bed she heard sudden scratching. She looked under her bed there was nothing there.She checked everywhere! She still couldnt find it so she went down to tell her gran but her gran was on the couch sleeping with red wine in her hand but then the child took a closer look and fainted! GRANDMA SHE SCREAMED WHATS IN YOUR WINE! Grandma woke up Huh what is it darling...Grandma said the child i just came down to tell you about a scratching noise in the bedroom but there is a slimy thing in your juice! Oh said grandma never mind that its just when i sneezed lets go up to your room and check out this scratching noise!They went upstairs and grandma opened the curtains and said Where did this goo come from? she wiped the goo off and there was a face behind it she screamed and fainted......I WILL KILL YOU THE FACE SCREAMED then it waled throw the window and murdered grandma but before the face could kill the girl the girl already hung herself and that was the end of grandma and the girl.....

Great story! Very original. Creepy. But what was in her wine? And pleaseeeee give it a title so that people can easily recognize it if it gets nominated.

Can it be a funny horror story? Like uhh.... Idk. But does it have to mainly be horror or can it be like a romantic horror or action horror?
