| Just curious. A friend of mine said she's done 5+ pages for state tests before. It's quite amazing. I have to make one that's 5 pages or more. 5 pages could give me an 85 based on the grammar effort. I just find it hard because: I was given the subject, it wasn't chosen. Second: It's based on one subject. So if it was based on the Civil War, I can't have a brief explanation of each, only an extremely detailed essay on one battle.
Anyway, have you ever had to make more than 5 pages in middle school, or even elementary? It's to be expected I know, but since it won't really give me what I consider a great grade (which probably is an 8 page essay that could give me a 99), I find it kind of harsh.

| Agreed... that's a lot. :c We've never had to do that much before and I would be in Middle school if we had one lol. We only have an elementary and a high school. | |

| Well, I'm in sixth grade and our math teacher is giving us a 5 page or more fraction history report, but she gave us like 4 weeks to do it.
It depends on the time I guess.

It depends on the time I guess. Ah, mine is due on Tuesday~ That is a lot in my opinion, never heard of math reports before. But you do have plenty of weeks to do it, so it makes sense?

| I honestly don't think 5 pages is a lot of work for a 5th grader at all. As only as you try your hardest! owo | |

| To me that is a lot! My longest essay has been one page so to me that is so much! It depends where you go to school also. | |

| How much homework did you get toppling that essay? Was your printer broken or did you have trips that distracted you from doing the essay pages? Do your parents limit your laptop time even if you have homework based on using the internet?
These are also situations I have been acing recently, since tomorrow I am going on a trip for 3 days and I'll only have a day to finish my essay, including the fact that my printer is broken, and the library limits your time on a computer/my parents take me to the library at late times usually.
Too think my school was tough on me. o-o I guess I can agree that 5 page essays are nothing, especially because I know people/college students who have to write like 15 pages a week and can do it in two days.

| I mean, when I was in middle school we never had a amount of papers requirement but more of the content you put. Even if we did, the amount of papers that we had to do wasn't that extreme. Now it's just based off the content you put in my school. I agree, 5 papers is a little extreme for middle school unless it's based off several factors like time, broader subjects, font size, double paged or not, etc. | |

I actually don't think it depends on the page numbers. It's the content that counts. I would rather have one page of awesomeness than 50 pages of content and junk.

My social studies teacher is almost the opposite of that sadly. I totally agree with you when it comes to content, but my teacher is very specific on what format it is in and the amount of pages. Also the content counts, but not as much as the format. As well as if you copied words from sources (or didn't quote).

| Wait until that 100-page comp 1 or 2 essay you get in high-school :c
That's my life next year </3
I think it's an okay amount. I did a 10-page project for my American History teacher in 8th grade.

| 5 pages seems like a lot. But I think I could do it. The most I've done is 4 pages and even then, there was only one paragraph on the fourth page.
I know how you could do 8 pages in like half a minute. Use really big text.

| Wow thats alot. Most of my teachers dont care how long it is, just the content and format. I say describe things in detail and use quotes and stuff.Oh and you can use the 72 font, huge margings and double space. Dont forget about that | |
