| Okay, since I noticed no one's ever done a successful HP RP, and there have been few original RPs lately, I'm making this one. Warning: This is going to be another complex RP with lots of rules and such. If you don't think you can handle it, don't join.
Another Warning: If you haven't thoroughly read at least 4 out of the 7 Harry Potter books, you will not be permitted to join. Watching the movies doesn't count. If you seem not to understand the concept of the HP universe, I reserve the right to kick you from the game.
Yet another Warning: I'd like this RP to go on for about 50 pages at least. If you think you're going to quit after a while, don't join in the first place.
Now, let us get on with it. - Rules - Students:
. No muggles or squibs. This RP is about wizards and witches only.
. No canon characters or relatives of canon characters. This is a fan RP set in an unspecified time period. You can't be Snape's secret daughter, Dumbledore's mom or any of that crap.
. No Mary Sues. Unless your character is in his/her late 7th year, you probably can't perform a decent patronus, you most certainly can't perform any Unforgivables. Your magic skill is about average. If your character is smarter than Hermione, more powerful than Harry or prettier than Fleur, I'm not letting it pass. If I say your application is denied, I will most certainly supply a reason. Please fix the problem or you won't be allowed to play.
. No nonhumans/halfbreeds. This includes vampires, half vampires, werewolves, veela, half veela, fairies, elves and any other nonhuman character you can think of. We're playing normal wizards.
. Violence is alright to a certain extent. There will be special combat rules for magic/physical duels and the like. Please keep blood/gore to a PG-13 level.
. Romance is alright to a certain extent. I'd rather this not turn into yet another completely romance-based roleplay, but I'm permitting it as long as you keep it all PG-13 and don't make it completely take over the whole story.
.No muggle stuff. This includes non-magic weapons like guns and knives, iPods, computers, TVs and muggle clothing. You are a wizard. Act like one.
- Rules - Teachers:
.As a teacher character, you play a similar role to the GameMakers of my Hunger Games RP. It is your job to determine the outcome of student battles via Number Generators. More on that later.
.You cannot be headmaster, or teach more than one class. I don't want a situation where one teacher has ultimate power over the rest.
.Only four people can be Head of House. And don't even ask about being head of more than one house.
. You cannot make up classes.
. Classes, Heads of Houses and such are chosen on first come, first serve basis. Remember, your application has to be accepted to qualify. If you were the first to request Potions teacher and got denied, the next person to request it gets the job.
.NO CHEATING. If I suspect any teacher character of tampering with the generator results in favour of a certain character, I reserve the right to kick them from the RP.
. Please read the Student Rules. Most of that stuff applies.
- Rules - Combat:
RPs are always better with a bit of Player Character violence. However, to avoid argument I'm making some rules as to how it works.
When a character attacks another character, a Teacher will use a random number generator to decide whether or not it hits and the spell takes effect.
1-2 You perform the spell so poorly, you hex yourself. You're under the effects of a random spell.
3-4 You miss your target.
5-8 You hit. Your target is now under the effect of the spell you cast.
9-10. You jinx your target so hard they're under the effects of said spell for double the amount of time said on the spell list.
- Rules - Quidditch:
Okay, we all know how quidditch works. There are two beaters, three chasers, one keeper and one seeker per team. When the seeker catches the snitch, that team wins.
This is how to play Quidditch on my RP.
CHASERS When you try to obtain/throw the quaffle, a teacher will generate a number. Lower than 5 is a miss, higher than 5 is a hit. Each hit is worth 10 points to your team.
BEATERS When you whack a bludger at an opposing chaser, a teacher will generate a number. If it's higher than 7, you knock out that beater and they're removed from the game.
SEEKERS Five posts into the game, you can see the snitch. The first seeker to post catches it.
KEEPERS you can add -3 to any attempt from the opposite team to score a goal.

House: Griffyndor (but slyhterin x-x. ugh this was a hard choice)

Bio: Ophelia really doesn't feel like she should be in Gryffindor. In fact, she feels like the only House she belongs to is HufflePuff. She isnt smart, she isnt courageous, and she definitely isn't a pureblood so when she got put in Griffyndor she was both elated and confused. After a year of craziness Ophelia tried out for the quidditch team as seeker in her second year. After displaying some talent she got picked and has been happy since. While not exceptional at and of her subjects she shows a will to learn and an ability to comprehend as well as do fine. She grew up with a squib mother and muggle father so before Hogwarts she didn't have much expierence. Now she's feeling better as she begins to get comfortable with her abilities.

She loved almost all the classes she loved everything about Hogwarts she was almost stunned when she got the job to teach potions.
