They are not people. They are vocaloids. Here is a picture of them: (this picture makes me giggle every time )

People say that they are twins because they look a little alike. The truth is, they are mirrored images of each other. Here is how I know:

Look at the first two letters of their names. Rin. Right. Len. Left.

Vocaloid is a voice synthetising program, right? If you listen to their song, you'll see their accents and voices are roboty. SO. The creators of Rin and Len and the fans have given them images to look like anime characters, just like all other Vocaloids.

ALTHOUGH they have images, they are still Vocaloids, which means they are just computerized programs that you can purchase on your computer.

In real life, they also have concerts. Only the people performing on the stage would be actual life-size robots, constructed to be able to dance like actual people, to look like Vocaloids.

Rin and Len are just two Vocaloids. There are a lot more. The most popular Vocaloid is Hatsune Miku though.


It's not that confusing once you get to read about them more. Even I get confused. That info up there could even be wrong. But that's what I've heard/read about them~

well, this is the first time i've heard of rin and len and vocaloids but it seems a bit simpler now to understand because of what you guys said.
I listened to one of the songs and they're pretty good. The robots are cool too.

I've heard of hatsune miku though.
