well, no offense to you, but my mum's a professional artist and she does this too for her sketches. i've seen professional's sketches and they do this too.
so, you're being the amateur here, no offense. obviously when i outline it i only do one line, but for sketches i like to be pretty messy ^^"

It's called sketching. Professionals do it and I use it when I'm trying to draw something. That way you can easily erase the lines and stuff

It's called sketching. If you draw one line it's kind of hard to erase if you mess up. o_O"

oh yes when you sketch you normally have to erase and think things out, you can scribble pretend to do this and that and the final picture has lots of lines and can be pretty messy, but that's art Rolling Eyes

also you can choose to erase the lines but most choose not to as it ruins the final perspective of the art !
