The Perfect Ones

"And now presenting Miss Teen USA..."
"Staycee Michaels!"
The disappointed contestants didn't hide their disappointment. They broke into tears right onstage.
Staycee, on the other hand, ran up to recieve her sash and tiara. The televised pageant was her first step to stardom.
Her bleached blonde hair cascaded over her shoulder, and she looked more gorgeous by the second.
"Thank you, thank you so much for this award and this honor," She said earnestly. "I couldn't have gotten here without all my supporters. So I thank you."
With that, she turned on her 4-inch heel and went backstage.
Superstar Ashley Birkins was waiting for her. She'd been the star of exactly 17 movies since she was seven years old. Now, at age fifteen, she was a lucrative starlet and known worldwide.
"Congratulations," Ashley smiled and held up a water bottle.
Staycee saw a vanilla-ish tint to the water, and it was awfully carbonated.
"What's in the bottle?" Staycee asked. "Looks tasty. Thanks, by the way."
"Just some teawater from Japan." Ashley's large hazel eyes widened, and Staycee realized that she'd probably been wrong and offended Ashley. "Oh, okay," Was her simple reply.
"Welcome to the world of glamour, dear." Ashley completely turned her back to the boy she had been talking to. Staycee recognized him as a star on the hit tv show The Ego Master. He slumped away, and it was clear he had been hoping to get somewhere with Ashley. She saw him and rolled her eyes.
"The fame world," She continued, "is about looking hot. You COULD have that look nailed. But... the dress you're wearing is a fashion disaster, I must say. Try getting a stylist." She gave the dress a once over. It was contrasted by far to Ashley's tight hot pink thigh-length party dress.
Staycee looked down at her strapless red Stella McCartney dress, with the red floor-length ruffles that were at least three feet out. She had on bloodred high heels and bloodred lipstick. That was the only makeup she wore.
Staycee was stunned. She'd really liked her dress.
Ashley raised her eyebrows. "They chose you because you're naturally hot. To really make it in Hollywood, kid, you need an original, sexy, spiced-up look."
Staycee got her voice back.
"I have that right now," She replied hotly.
Ashley took a swig of her "teawater" and raised her eyebrows. She looked Staycee straight in the eye.
"Look, kid. You aren't a glamour-queen, and you don't have the hottest body ever. This pageant means nothing. To get noticed in Hollywood, you need to actually live there and have a talent. Maybe when you get to Miss Teen World we'll speak again."
Staycee stared into Ashley's beautiful eyes for at least fifteen seconds before she finally had to turn away.

It was two in the morning when Staycee returned to her hotel.
After what the biggest star in Hollywood had told her, she felt deflated. She couldn't believe that she had gotten on Ashley Birkins' bad side. This wouldn't earn her a good spot in Hollywood.
Staycee's thoughts were snapped when her mother came to her from the bathroom.
"Stayce, it's time to go to bed."
"Okay," She said weakly, then went into the bathroom to take off the disguise she'd been wearing all night.

Sounds quite interesting. I like how it all connects and works with my brain. Makes me want to read more :3

Staycee's eyes popped open the next day, bloodshot and still glazed over.
"You need to get to this audition, Stayce. You always wake up late." Her mother nagged her endlessly and prodded her until she was in the shower.
Staycee washed her blonde hair with citrus shampoo; it made her feel like a Polynesian princess. Her body was almost 80% cocoa butter; which gave off a chocolaty scent that you'd expect to clash with her citrus shampoo; but actually mended together perfectly. It was the perfect mix of tropical and cozy.
After her shower, Staycee opened her MacBook up. She had a slim of about five minutes before she got dressed.
She opened AIM.

Staycee never took IMs from strangers, so she closed the IM out.
Seconds later, it popped back up.
She closed it again.
The same thing happened.
Staycee quietly logged out of AIM and shut her laptop down.
"Staycee, we HAVE to GO," Her mother said.
What happened next, Staycee didn't expect.
Her mother ran to her, vigorously clenching her fists. The second she reached her daughter, her fist collided with her cheek.
Staycee felt her cheek to make sure nothing had broken or was swollen.
She looked at her mother, silently begging for an explanation.
The woman said nothing.
"Let's go," She said in a huff. With that, Staycee got dressed.
Even though makeup artists would do her face up at the audition, she felt it necessary to powder over the bruise that was forming on her cheek.
