| You said you wanted critiques, so.. - Jpg graphics. Did you save it as a bmp (which image hosts tend to screw up) or jpg? Don't do that. It detracts from the image quality. Try saving it as a png instead, it keeps the original quality and supports transparency. - Lines at the top of that shirt are... jaggedy? Not smooth? Not sure how to explain it, but it does not look right. I'd demonstrate and show it for you if I weren't on my 3DS right now. - The eyes need more shading. And their pupils are uneven. - I know of an easy recoloring method, which I'll try to explain:
You've got two colors at any given time in Paint, right? The other one's the secondary color which you activate my left-clicking. It's usually white. Let's say you picked a certain color you wanted to erase. Left-clicking while using the eraser erases that color, and that color only. Or rather, it replaces it with the secondary color, which in this case is white.
So, let's change the white secondary color to, let's say, red. Now, when you hold the right mouse button, whatever color that's your primary color will turn red as you "erase" over it.
Try applying this all to recoloring.
The eyedropper tool is also a big help when finding what colors to replace.
I'd add pictures, but as I said, I'm in my bed, posting from a portable device. So...

- More shading. Try adding a tiny, one pixel row of shading on the inner edges of the current shading, where the middle shade is in between the darkest and the lightest. If that made any sense at all. Sorry, I'm not the best at explaining. Try looking at how Fantage generally shades their clothes? The hair is my favorite part, though I'm not sure if I see how it is edited. Then again, I'm not all that familiar with Fantage items anymore. It looks nice though. Overall, I'd give you an 8/10. Sorry for the brutal honesty (if it was any brutal at all), you did kinda ask for it. | |
