The Hunger Games RP APPS

The United States of America is now divided into twelve districts in the vicinity of Panem. Back in the Dark Days, the districts were at war with the Capitol. The Capitol won the war, and as punishment for rebelling, the Capitol devised the Hunger Games; an annual fight to the death where each district must provide one male and one female tribute between the age of twelve and eighteen to fight to the death. The tributes are selected at random from a lottery, though a tribute may also volunteer in place of the reaped tribute. The event is always fully televised in all the districts for everyone to see.

Only one tribute is to survive, and they be crowned victor and given a victor house in their district. Months after the winning, the victor's district shall be flooded with food and gifts and good work months.

District 1 Background
One of the wealthiest districts in Panem. Mainly manufactures luxury items for the Capitol (including diamonds and other precious gems). They take great pride when they compete in the games. Those who live/come from District 1 have a very glamorous demeanor.

District 2 Background 
Most Peacekeepers are trained here. Many weapons are created here (the tribute from District 2 will be handy with making weapons). Known for graphite mining and having citizens with a warrior-like mind-set. 

District 3 Background
Citizens from District 3 are very good with electronics and explosives (tributes will be good at creating explosives, but will be advised not to go overboard with this skill). District 3 is also one og the richest districts.

District 4 Background
The industry in District 4 is mainly fishing (useful for tributes). They have good experience with tridents, making fishhooks, swimming, identifying edible sea creatures, and using tridents.

District 5 Background
Not much is mentioned in the books about District 5, but we do know that District 5 is responsible on producing all the electricity in Panem.

District 6 Background 
District 6 is also known to be very unstable, and could be several times larger than even Districts 11 or 2. Some of the citizens in District 6 are morphling addicts.

District 7 Background 
District 7 provides Panem lumber and its citizens are good with axes. The District is covered with large areas of pine forests.

District 8 Background
Mainly produces textiles and clothing (usually for the Peacekeepers). Katniss describes District 8 as “an ugly, urban place stinking of industrial fumes, the people housed in run down tenements, barely a blade of grass in sight.”

District 9 Background
Sadly, the book gives no reference to the industry and civilization of District 9.

District 10 Background
The industry in District 10 mainly provides livestock (e.g. cattle) to the Capitol.

District 11 Background
District 11 is one of the poorest districts in Panem. Its industry is agriculture (fields of grain and cotton are surround the district). Nearly everything they produce goes to the Capitol.

District 12 Background

District 12 was one of the poorest, most ridiculed districts in the nation of Panem. Located in the Appalachian Mountains, District 12 specialized in coal mining.[1] District 12 had not won the Games for many years prior to The Hunger Games, when Haymitch Abernathy, an alcoholic and an embarrassment to the district, won the 50th Annual Games, or the second Quarter Quell.

- All universal RPG rules apply
- There are only 12 districts to keep it at a limited-person RPG. 
- This will be decided at a first come, first serve basis.
- If you are inactive, we will warn you via PM once. If you do not write for your character 24 hours after you receive the PM, we will give your character to someone who applied to participate in the RP, but was too late.
- Gamemakers will not play to their characters advantage.
- You may not kill another person's character without their consent. If your character is injured, they are permitted to remain alive but must pay the consequence of the wound. 
- The gamemakers may change the arena whenever they please. If you do not agree with the change you will be warned.
- When the gamemaker decides to add/change something, there will be a post in the actual RP in bold dark blue font.
- You will be PMd your district number. Note that you might not get your preferred district.
- The minimum age your character can be is 13. Not 12.
- When you receive a gift and use it, mention it was a gift or no one will know where you got it from
- THERE ARE NO MENTORS TO HELP YOU.
- You must keep an eye out on the RP which is where notifications for the gamemakers are to be announced. 
- These announcements will be notifying people of dead tributes, extra supplies in the cornucopia etc.
