Hello, welcome to the Debate Thread. c:
This is, of course, free to everyone. BUT, you must remember to stay on topic, and not turn the debate into an argument! Debating and arguing are 2 very different things.
There will be a new debate weekly, alright? We shall choose the topic together, that way it's fair.
Please keep in mind, the debates don't have to be serious. They can be as silly as you want! :3 Ex: "SOCKS AND SANDALS: Do or don't?"

@LadyGLM I think they should have some infuence on their future. The parents were the ones who took care of the children. They raised them, fed them, gave them love, and its likely they want the best for their kid. I'm sure that most parents know better for their kids, but we need to make decisions on our own too

I really don't think that. My parents always wanted me to become a lawyer or a doctor which is I hate to become. I think it's not nice for the parents to decide the own future of their children even they know it's good or bad. >.<

@Ava Ultimately, it is in the child's hands whether or not they want to be successful in life. Sure, good grades will make my parents happy, but they're only mattering for me. What do my grades do for my parents? Nothing. What do they do for ME? a WHOLE LOT.
