The seconds began to feel like hours. The minutes began to feel like days. "Laaance!" she called out once more.

He got up. The tide was beginning to roll in, and Naomi was still asleep. He heard his name being called. "What?" he called back.

"We're lost," Sophie shouted. A few nearby birds flew away, probably disturbed by the noise.

He saw some birds fly away from a distance. "Can you describe where you are?" asked Lance.

I think I know where we are! "Crystal, could you stand up please?" asked Sophie. "I'm pretty sure that log has something special on it."

Crystal did as she was told, and stood up. "What's on it?"

Sophie pointed to the message carved into the log. "We're near the lake," she said proudly.

She squinted at it. "What does it say? It looks like Lance's handwriting since it's so messy."

"Oh, okay!"
He started heading towards the lake, while keeping on the lookout for Sophie.

"It says: 'Sophie- I am at the lake. It's south of here. -Lance'," she read.

"Sophie!" he called out once more. I think I'm getting closer.

"What are those hearts for?" she asked with a questioning look.

"Hi," Sophie said loudly. Turning to Crystal, she replied, "Maybe you should ask him."

He followed the sound of her voice. Lance walked his way around trees, bushes, and other forms of foliage.

"I think I will," answered Crystal promptly.

"Okay," Sophie replied. She didn't understand why Crystal wanted to ask about hearts. "We should make a map for this island."

After making his way through trees for a few minutes, he finally came to the familiar log. "Hello."

"Hey," Sophie said to Lance when she saw him. "Thanks for finding us."

She flew over to him and asked, "How come there's hearts there? What's the meaning of this?!"

Lance gave Sophie a smile and answered, "You're may favourite ghost. And Sophie is my favourite human."

Sophie wanted to say, "You're my favorite ghost too, Lance." but she thought that would be mean towards Crystal. She settled on, "Thanks."

"We were looking for Ashley," Sophie answered. "Then we got lost."

"I saw here there too," he said in agreement. "Where could she have gone?"

"Maybe she's at the beach with Naomi," Sophie said. "Or maybe she's in the camp."

Ashley was in the jungle, she heard muffled yells a while back. So she began sprinting towards the sound, the opposite version of where the birds were flying. I'm near the lake Ashley was getting nervous. "SOPHIE!!!! SOPHIE!!!! I'M LOST!" she belted. She stood still and tapped her foot to a tuneless song that she began to hum.
