| I wanted to write a story for my dA sta.sh, so I did. And I just wanted to share it. - Spoiler:
The leaves crackled as Nicky stepped out into the night.
"I'm brave!" he shouted.
"Come back only when I open the door." called Alex from the door.
Alex, Nicky's thirteen year old brother had challenged Nicky to stay outside the house to prove he was brave.
Nicky was scared. He wasn't really brave, he just assumed it. He was never confident. And here he was, alone in the cold, breezy night with no moon.
CRACK.
What was that?
Oh, it was only Tabby, Nick's Egyptian Mau.
Tabby jumped into Nicky's arms. He cradled her. Now the night wasn't so scary.
A cloud shifted in the sky, and the moon was revealed. It was a glowing yellow that looked so much like cheese. It was almost as if it was smiling; it made Nicky's confidence boost up even higher.
He looked around. Now everything looked so familiar; so peaceful. Nicky felt the surroundings were almost friends. He sat down in the wet grass, and stared up at the dark starlit sky.
"HEY!" Alex called. Nicky jumped. "Time to go!"
Nicky grinned wickedly. "It's your turn."
"For w..what?" Alex stammered, as if not knowing a thing.
"For sitting outside." Nicky ran into the house, pushed Alex out, and slammed the door.
"Come in when I open the door." Nicky looked at him through the window and snickered.
