50th Hunger Games (RP)

Roselyn was on her tube, breathing heavily. "May the Hunger Games begin!" Claudius Templesmith's voice said. Then the Countdown started.

60, 59, 58, 57, 56..

Yahonna held her breath as her plate was lifted into the arena. She raised her eyebrow at the sight of the beautiful land. It seemed as if food was everywhere..As if this was a safe haven of some sort. It's beautiful..Too beautiful.. She thought as she allowed the sweet scent of flowers the trickle up her nose, leaving her dazed but still quite alert as the voice of Claudius Templesmith boomed through her eardrums.

Arena:

Roselyn sighed. 30 seconds. It's 30 seconds until I die.. She thought. Roselyn's eyes darted around her surroundings. She gasped. Before she knew it, the countdown reached 10. She had gotten an advantage now, because, unlike others, she shook her head and concentrated in the Conrucopia instead of the beautiful arena. She shifted around in her plate.

Yahonna's eyes fixated on a golden bow and a sheath of about two dozen arrows {24} that were near the inside of the arena. I can get it..If I'm quick! All of a sudden, the gong rang, and Yahonna found herself scrambling past many slow runners; This was on of her advantages; she was extremely fast. When she felt scared, she elbowed the district 7 boy who had gotten too close for comfort. Quickly, she freed the arrow and bow loaded an arrow at a few approaching tributes, and watched as they backed away. Then, she grabbed a large orange backpack, fleeing into the woods just as more tributes reach the cornucopia.

Connect leaped off her plate. She looked at Roselyn, a girl who seemed her age or a bit older. Luckily, she had lots of knowledge in this stuff. She was right next to Yahonna but she ran, avoiding her. She looked around the Cornucopia. It wasn't long before she had 1 large camouflaged backpack, the only crossbow and it's sheath of arrows and 10 throwing axes which she threw into her backpack.

Sapphire arrived at the Cornucopia. Her eyes moved around and a smirk reached her face. She picked up 1 spear, a medium-sized backpack, 15 throwing knives and the big sword. The sword had some sort of case, which was similar to a sheath of arrows, because you can put it over your shoulder. Sapphire looked at Connect. "Well, what have we got here?" She asked, smiling.

Roselyn took long to run off her place. She was stunned by the beauty. Oh, the irony. She took out the small backpack because it was the closest thing she found. She ran into the mouth of the Cornucopia and got 1 dagger and 1 axe. She spotted Connect and Sapphire. She pulled out her axe and tackled Sapphire. "Let.. me.. go!" Sapphire yelled. "Don't kill my ally." Roselyn said. "Who? You mean Connect the Plug?" Sapphire said, laughing. "Yes," Roselyn said, threatening her with the axe. "Fine. Just let me live." Sapphire said. Roselyn let go. "Thanks." Sapphire said, gritting her teeth.

Connect looked at Roselyn. "So, thanks for saving me back there." Connect said. "I'ts nice to know we've got an alliance going.. what do you think about Yahonna? Should we add her in?"

Yahonna fled farther into the woods, glancing back at Roselyn and Connect as she shook her head. Not watching where she was going, she bagged into a tree, the impact throwing her back into the dirt. She kept an arrow loaded.

Rosie dashed when the games started. She went a bit farther than her plate and took 5 throwing knives and 1 camouflaged bag, then ran towards the short lemon trees. She tripped over a rock and landed hard on the ground, letting her bag -which she places the knives in- fall from her hands. Rosie backed away quickly, as someone threw a knive at a girl(NPC) making her think it was supossed to hit her. She took her bag and ran as fast as she could and reached the woods. She didn't stop running, she just ran and ran until she got tired and climbed a tall, but thin tree and sat on it huffing.

Ruby picked up a throwing knife and aimed it at the other bow. there was another tribute going to retrieve her weapon, so she threw that knife and another for good luck. It didn't matter where they went, she just wanted them to startle the tribute. She went and picked up the other bow and pack of arrows. (theres 24 in each pack right) Then she ran over to Sapphire, another tribute from her district, and whispered in her ear, "Let's go get a head start in the woods," which signaled for her to
ditch killing, pick up some more weapons, and go. Ruby paced over and picked up a medium camo backpack, 5 throwing axes, a spear, and 4 throwing knives. I'll learn to use these, Ruby thought to herself, as she ran into the woods. I hope Jayleen gets some sponsors too.

Quartz noticed Ruby running into the woods with a lot of weaponry, so he went over and said, "Ya need some help with that?" He took the axes and the spear from her and they continued into the woods. He hiked with Ruby to the lake, where they set the Career camp. Quartz glanced at Ruby who was getting some water for the 4 canteens she found in her backpack. She's.... kinda cute, actually... Quartz, stop! You need to focus on staying alive. As of now you're a tribute in the Hunger Games, keep yourself together! He sighed.

"Good idea." Sapphire said, smiling. "Alliance, right?" She said, running into the woods. "Don't you find the beauty of the arena very suspicious?" Sapphire asked. "There are many tributes, expect there to be about 20 deaths in the Cornucopia." She commented. "Who's that guy?" She asked, referring to Quartz. "Is he from our district?" She asked. She sat down behind the lake, and saw it was connected to a river. She raised an eyebrow as she saw there were no fishes. "Wait, Ruby, stop!" She yelled, as she saw one of the canteens start dissolving. She picked a branch from a tree and threw it into the lake. The branch disappeared almost immediately. She gasped. "It's.. not water!" She said. "It's.. some sort of trick the Game-Makers have played on us."

"Oh s***!" Ruby dropped the canteen but saved the other three, she crawled away from the area, and and sighed. "Be careful next time!" Quartz started laughing, and Ruby pouted, but then broke into laughter just the same.

Sapphire started laughing. "Well, at least we have three left, don't we?" She asked, smiling. "I should've known.. it's weird, isn't it? The next time we try to get water, let's check if there is fish first. Luckily, we didn't go take a bath or anything." Sapphire said. "If we ever need to get rid of something, we know where to put it." Sapphire said, laughing. She opened her backpack and smiled. "I know who to target first. Connect the Plug and Roselyn." She said.

Rosie closed her eyes for a while, taking deep breathes. She heard people talk below her; making her panic because she didn't want anyone to see her. She doesn't want any alliance since she knew that in the end she have to kill her ally, who she came close with. Rosie looked down slowly and saw the canteen disappear in the lake. Thank god I still didn't drink it She glanced at her bag, which she still didn't open, then looked back at the girls and guy. Rosie looked away and shifted a bit in her branch, not wanting them to notice her. She moved her long caramel blonde bangs away from her sweaty face and wiped her forehead with her hand.

Sapphire smiled. She opened her backpack and found a pack of matches and a folded tent. She also found an pair of empty canteens and a bag with dried fruits and an empty tube container. Deeper into the backpack she also found a long red rope tied into a knot to take up less space. She saw a flock of white birds fly over her and had an idea. Quixkly, she fashioned a slingshot with multiple small branches and one of the hairties in her hairstyle (which is a high twisted bun.) She fired a tiny rock into the flock of birds. One bird died, and he other ones went mad. "Oh oh!" She said, as the birds came down and devored anything in its path.

Yahoona jumped off the floor, staggering to keep her balance. When she did, she retrieved her large, orange backpack and flipped it onto her back, using her fingers to dust off the specks of dirt that had covered her once shiny gold bow. She slung it around her back, and almost turned to run before she realized her sheath was missing. She worriedly looked around, and sighed with relief when she saw her golden sheath on the ground under a nearby tree, the arrows spilled out. She walked to it, getting down onto her knees as she swiftly placed the arrows back into the sheath, using her finger to tap each arrow head as she counted them..they added up to 23. She realized that when she fell to the ground, the impact was so hard she must've misplaced the arrow. She looked around, but this time no luck. It was a shiny gold, though, so it would be easy to spot. An advantage and a disadvantage. Sighing yet again, Yahonna got up, flipping the sheath around her back as she loaded an arrow into her now-gripped tightly bow. She held onto it for dear life, as it was. Then, she continued walking deeper and deeper into the woods, wincing every time her boot made a crunching sound against the dead leaves that were sputtered against the floor.

Sapphire quickly slaughtered all the birds with her sword. She smiled. "Nice." She whispered to herself. She retrieved her spear and looked around. She walked over to a bush of nightlocks and juiced them all. She poured the juice into the tube container and closed it. "I've got some poison for special cases." She said, smiling.

((yeah but there aren't any gamemakers so))

"How did you know that was poison?" Quartz asked, confused. He didn't know much about survival. Ruby answered him. "You haven't seen previous Hinger Games? This is Nightlock, a berry that will kill you f you eat it."

"It's so deadly that.." She paused. "If that thing enters your mouth, you'll be dead in less than a minute." She said, smiling. "Before it even reaches your stomach." Sapphire said.
