Caroline blinks for a second, then looks down at the rusted pipe, rather embarrassed. " Y-YEAH.. I-i guess.. I.. I was alone in m-my house and I j-just ran for it.."

She said, balancing the rusted pipe in her hands.

Mila heard another voice, but this time it was much louder and much clearer.
"Who's there?" it questioned, but she wasn't sure if the question had been aimed at her or not.
She hesitated to answer…if the question had in fact not been aimed at her, she could be risk getting caught by someone who wasn't exactly ‘friendly'.
"Is…is anybody out there…?" she asked, trying to sound as ‘cutesy' and innocent as possible. She knew the act wasn't likely to fool anyone who had even the slightest bit of common sense, but, for all she knew, this person could be extremely stupid. Still, she didn't know anything for certain and she'd just have to wait and see for herself what this person was like.

Thana in disbelief as Jamie tried to talk to the girl. She felt like leaving them both behind and going by herself. Instead she stared forward sourly and turned off the engine to conserve gas. This was going to be a long day.

She looked at the weather-worn dirt roadahd really wished for some candy.

Caroline turned her head toward the girl.

" I'm C-caroline.."

she stuttered, looking at the dirt ground.

"Don't try that with me," she said, a bit more determined. "Show yourself." Athena imagined what it would be like to just take out her pistol and end it. Obviously, that wouldn't go well, so she didn't even bother touching it.

Caroline stared awkwardly at the people in-front of her. She touched her face where her bandage was, and smoothed out the air bubbles. Then, she tied her boot. Finally, she spoke.

" Do you mind If I tag along?"

Mila cleared her throat a bit.
Whoever this girl (or at least that's what it sounded like) was, she definitely didn't seem to be on the stupid side.
Mila waited a brief moment before stepping towards the direction the voice was coming from, 'showing herself' as the girl had put it.

"Which ones? I mean, she-" they stopped to point at Thana. "Has good weapons, but we always need more. Just a stick? I mean, it works, I've used them too, but.." They stood silently, looking at Thana turn the engine off. "Hm..." They couldn't help but look at the shyness in her voice. Jamie couldn't say much about it, because they tended to be quite awkward when they talked, as well, but this person just seemed unconfident, reeking of shyness.
"Pretty bold of you, to ignore cars... Only blunt fighters od that.." They murmured to themselves some more, thinking of old teams. Jamie still wasn't sure what kind of fighter Thana was, but this one seemed straightup blunt, grabbing weapons from her house and running into cars. It might work, might...
As the girl showed herself, Jamie noticed she had a barrete. A barrete? What were you doing putting hair accessories during an apocalypse? Hair dying was a different story (good way to pass the time when bored at night, though your dye job often ended badly), but dressing up was something you always had to do lightly.

Caroline's eyes widened. " I thought I heard grunts, so I panicked... I don't even know where to go.." She said embarrassed, Holding up the pipe. " I just pulled this thing from my basement.. My dad stored a lot of old pipes in there. I don't know why, but they came out useful.."

She sighed, and awkwardly looked around.

" I understand if you don't want me to come. I'd be no help, anyways. I'm just a weak girl.."

Thana frowned slightly. She didn't want more people, in fact she only let Jamie tag alot because it was the leat she could do for someone who saved her some ime, and time was of the essence. She knitted her eyebrows, this time in thought. The girl obviousley isn't very strong or well-equipped. She doesnt seem to have and physical aspects that could help me... Or Jamie for that matter... Let's just see what Jamie says. she thought.

Turning slightly to Jamie she put all her focus on them. She wanted to see what Jamie thought, it would decide what she herself would think.

Caroline awkwardly fiddled with her hands, and brushed them against her thick, heavy-duty vest. She felt more embarrassed; She was wearing a pink heavy duty vest with dirty, brown construction boots. And A Pink skirt! A skirt for gods' sake! She didn't even have anything to protect her skin. She did bring a few extra things in her bag, though.

"Look, I won't hurt you," she decided to say. "but I am not stupid. Come closer." She hoped she was saying the right things. She didn't want to look mean, but she wanted to look strong.

"Hm, that's odd.. Weak girl, hm? I mean.. Maybe.." Jamie sort of looked down, knowing they had to make the decision considering Thana's face. "Could you tell us where your dad's house is? How many pipes did he have?" Pipes were good for building weapons, from amateur cannons to just blunt objects.
"If you can, tag along in the back. If not, leave." They were being more blunt than usual, something that often happened when deciding teams. You couldn't take time to be nice when choosing this. Jamie really hoped she wouldn't be a distraction, frankly they weren't sure she wouldn't be, but she honestly did look sorta weak, like those girls in the movies that don't do anything other than cry and be kissed by the hero, then at the end kill one zombie so the movie directors 'prove they aren't sexist.' God. They waited patiently for Caroline to answer.

" Well, My dad had about.." She thought for a moment. " Maybe over 200 pipes? I don't know why, but he collected them to use for emergencies. He was a strange man." She turned and pointed to the left. " His house is four blocks down. My parents are divorced, so we lived in different houses."

" I'll take you there If You let me join your group.."

They looked up, unsure if this girl would work. What kind of person wore a skirt for fighting? Jamie didn't have the best clothing, definitely, but at least they tried with what they had. They honestly doubted this girl (whom looked like a teen) owned only pink skirts.
"Get in the back." They said rather quietly, but waited to see if she got on. Jamie looked over att Thana, shrugging. "Maybe she'll prove useful? We're just looking for a map, I mean, if i'm leaving after I find the map, I'll just walk with her for pipes. Unless, of course, I'm staying." They said it all almost as if they were talking to themselves, tugging their hair and backpack and basically never looking at their current driver.

Caroline blinked, and couldn't believe they accepted her. " Do you mind if I drive to the house? I'm not good at explaining.." She said shyly.

"sure whatever. Try anything stupid and I'll kill you" Thana said tossing the keys to the girl. She climbed into the bed of the truck, not in the mood for talking to either of these people.

Caroline shrugged, and caught the keys. She got into the front seat, and popped the key in. She started the car.

" Everyone ready?"

"I was hoping we would go for the map first.." Jamie also said this in a rather hushed tune, but didn't protest, staying in their seat.
"How do you even know how to drive? I look older than you." Jamie sounded almost annoyed at this girl, it really didn't make sense.. But they would allow her to explain.

Caroline's expression became more cold. " My dad showed me." Was all she said. Then, she turned around, and stepped on the pedal. She began driving extremely fast, and slewed on sharp turns. When they reached a small brick house, she stepped on the brakes. " Were here."

Thana gave a single she was ready, but she didn't have to loo to know Jamie wasn't. She just had a feeling they weren't, seeing as they were such a slowpoke. Out of instinct, Thana took out her fun and held it across her best ready to shoot. "If you see anything that needs to be shot just holler, otherwise i'm going to take a nap for once," she yelled.

After that she got comfortable and drifted off into a dreamless slumber.

Caroline stepped out of the car, and held her pipe. " There might be zombies." She said. Then, she remembered. Whenever she visited her father, she brought some clothes here. She probably had some jeans, so she figured she'd run to change after she showed Jamie where the pipes were.

"Is that even legal?" They asked, not bothering to show they were kind of mad. They never really had anyone to teach them, but she might prove useful, so Jamie decided to let it pass. The drive was fast, and though Jamie didn't really mind, they didn't expect it and obviously wanted it to end really quickly.
"Mmm, I'm going to look around your house first, kay?" They didn't seem to be in as good of a mood as they were at the beginning, and they weren't even sure why. Jamie wasn't really mad Thana could drive, but the idea of someone younger than them driving just kind of made them mad.
"You wait here. I don't want you to touch anything in your house, you could tamper with it or something, if you're hiding something or the like."

Caroline furred her eyebrows. " Why would I try to kill you guys if your basically all I have left to help me? Besides, Its MY house." Caroline stepped out of the Car, and ran to the front door. She kicked it open. It was a pretty loose door, but she took karate as a kid and remembered some stuff. She stuck her head in, and then stared back at Jamie. " Clear."
